Someone highly recommended MacIntyre Mechanical to me and they were right to do so - honest, reliable, and very accommodating. Scott replaced our boiler and his pricing was so much better than the larger local companies. At a higher cost, there is no way they could have done a better or more professional job than Scott and Glen.

Scott along with Glenn just did a quality job of removing a 30 yr old oil fired boiler with a hot water tank and installing a completely new system in my home. Scott from MacIntyre Mechanical went above and beyond. My 20+ year old oil burner broke during this year's first 30 degree weekend (of course). My neighbor recommended Scott. I called him on a Saturday and left a message, not expecting a call back until Monday. He returned my call within 20 minutes and came out to see the oil burner and got it firing that same day. After the fix, he let me know of some maintenance and parts issues I should be aware of. He explained what was going on during the entire process and laid out options. He made sure the entire system was working correctly and tested all the parts and connections before he left, and followed up afterwards to make sure the oil burner was still running well. Scott is very honest, prompt, knowledgeable, detailed, and thorough. His pricing is more than fair. I will be using MacIntyre Mechanical for all my future HVAC needs. I have peace of mind knowing Scott is reliable, trustworthy, and has the most competitive pricing around.

Our condensor quit working on a Sunday a few weeks ago just before a 3 day heatwave was about to hit. I looked for somebody local to Townsend and saw Macintyre Mechanical had great reviews. I called Scott on Monday during a very busy time for him but he said he would try to come out to take a look. He did show up in the afternoon and he made a call to see if the condensor was available from his supplier.
He was able to get the condensor and Scott came back the following morning as his first job. He had us up and running a few hours later. We were so grateful for Scott being so responsive to our situation. The following three days were well into the 90's and we were comfortable and happy. Scott is my go to guy for all of our HVAC issues. I highly recommend.

I called MacIntyre Mechanical last Fall (2024) to get me in the queue for an early Spring installallation for Central Air in my home. They performed another stellar instation (you can see my review of my furnace installation below). The attention to detail, including instruction for my new thermostat which I love...I walk by and touch it to adjust the ac or heat, it's digital so I can see it it in the dark or adjust it from my phone, and their professional knowledge and work ethic is a 10+.

The system is working wonderfully. We've had extremely hot, cold, then hot and humid weather this spring and summer and, well, I've never been this comfortable in my home. Heat came on when I wanted in April, then cooling in May and now in July. Thanks to Scott and Glen MacIntyre and their supporting cast of electricians and all involved thru MacIntyre Mechanical.

I am very pleased with the quick response to my issue, a failing furnace in December; the quality, attention to detail and excellent job MacIntyre Mechanical did installing my new furnace. I highly recommend them.

I needed to have our AC system modified to provide a make-up air since we recently installed a range hood in our kitchen. I found Scott's info on internet and left a message for him. He promptly called back to make an appointment to evaluate the job on site. He was very friendly and informative, patiently answered my questions and soon after provided very reasonable quote. I was so impressed that I asked him to do maintenance on our heating/AC system as well. He completed the job within plus/minus half a day and checked if everything worked. It did not but that's what the initial check was for. Scott corrected the problem within minutes and this time everything passed perfectly. He left our place cleaner than it was when he arrived.
I am planning to ask Scott to do maintenance of our heating/AC system in the coming years since now I have a lot of trust in his technical, professional and interpersonal skills.

During the cold snap we had this spring our furnace was blowing cold air. Scott came and did a thorough and great job getting us up and running. As a result we hired him to replace our furnace and add central air. Price was reasonable and he did a great job! He cares and he knows what he is doing! Thorough, everything is labeled and clean! Scott installed heat in our family room, carriage house and a split system on the third floor of our home. He was professional and his work was very well done! Scott and Glen were fantastic. Scott answered all my emails and calls to begin with. Showed up when he said he was going to, did what he said he was going to and stayed on time. Professional, clean and did a excellent job on design and layout in attic. I had them install a 2 ton American standard with heat pump and so far everything is working great. Scott is the best around.

We hired MacIntyre Mechanical to add Air Conditioning to our new home. They did a great job. They were able to get all of the rough work done before the walls were up. Than came back and finished the job. Once the work was done, I was shown how to use the system and maintain it. I highly recommend them.

Scott was recommended to me by a friend. Our American Standard furnace was blowing cold air last night. Sent Scott a text and he responded and repaired our furnace gas valve in a timely manner. I won’t hesitate to call him for future furnace services.

Scott and the MacIntyre team recently replaced the entire central AC system in my house. They did a fantastic job!! They completed the project on time and on budget. The team cleaned up everyday, made sure the system was working efficiently before they completed the project and walked through how to make changes to the system settings. Scott MacIntyre has an impeccable, well deserved reputation. He installed the HVAC in my new Grammy Flat.
Being a new widow, I had tons of questions and concerns. He was kind and took the time to answer my questions and make suggestions for work I would like done in the near future. I WILL hire him again and consider myself lucky if he’s available. His pricing is fair and he works neatly. Never leaves a mess even though he’ll be back the following day.
On a personal note - I recently had an issue with my new hot water heater. ( Not Scott’s field) However, he knew I was having difficulties locating the installer and even an available plumber.
Scott offered to stop by very early, before he started his day, just to take a look and assure me whether I was running something I should shut off or any other adjustment needed until I could land a plumber. I finally did reach a plumber. But, the point of telling this is to illustrate the kind of guy Scott is. Hire him! You can’t go wrong!
