Constraction reviews in Uxbridge, Massachusetts

This is my 3rd time hiring Shine Construction. I'm either very happy or very stupid. It's the former. I am very particular and expect excellent work. I can't say enough good things about Manny the owner and his crew. The last job I just had them do was to replace all my windows, inside trim and outside trim. In addition they also replaced some damaged siding, trim on the eves etc. 35 windows and all the extra work done in 3 days. I love that there are women on the crew. Man or woman, they all do everything...cutting, fitting, installing, vacuuming etc. A vacuum was going the entire time. Our house was immaculate throughout the entire job and our yard. We didn't have to clean up a single mess. Most important, the worksmanship was perfect. I don't think I'll bother to ever get a quote from another construction company. New roof, skylights and now all new windows. This company can't be beat.

Manny, Lenin and the rest of the Shine team did. Great job on our roof. This is the 4th roof we have now used Shine. Kept us up to date on the project all day. Have recommended Shine every time I hear someone needs a roof done. Thanks guys!

Shine replaced our shingles and some of the roof this summer. They did an excellent job on schedule working with the chimney company. Their crew was friendly and efficient. The job was bigger than originally estimated due to the poor condition of the roof, but everything was finished in one day. Their set-up and cleanup was great, I didn’t have to do any cleaning when they left. No mess, no damage. Manny was very friendly and honest. All details were discussed up front. The foreman of the crew was friendly and well prepared on arrival. Shine came well recommended to me and I would use them again without hesitation.

Professional, skilled, and hardworking.

I hired Shine Construction to replace my old roof and gutters on my house and shed. Diego is very professional and explained the process to me beforehand. Diego and his crew were able to replace my entire roof and gutters in a day. They brought everything up to code on my roof. Not only did my roof and gutters get replaced, but they also helped me fix some of my siding on my house that I have putting off for a while. Everything came out amazing and after they were finished they cleaned everything up. My yard looked even better after they came. Thank you Shine Construction for the amazing job well done.

I highly recommend Shine Construction for their professionalism, hard work, and quality of work. Will be using them again for future projects.

We identified Shine Construction through local recommendations, and have nothing but great things to say about them! The crew arrived early on a Tuesday morning and worked for about 12 hours, texting us pictures and drone video throughout the day to show their progress and to allow us to see their work. They completed the job the next day. Two supervisors kept us continually updated (John, the site supervisor and Lenin, the sales consultant that we worked with). The property was left very clean, and the crew put back any items that they had to move (table, chairs, etc.). They had excellent safety protocols for both their employees and our property, and everyone on the crew was upbeat and friendly. We highly recommend Shine, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

They were very professional. The estimate was quick and honest. They told me the truth about what I needed and more importantly what I didn’t need, no hard sell for more than I needed. The team arrived on time and when they left you would never know they were there. I would call them again in a heart beat and highly recommend them for whatever is needed.

Shine construction replaced our roof and added more ventilation as well and they did a fantastic job! Manny and his team were very professional and I can’t get over how great the communication was. We received photos during every step of the roof replacement. Highly recommend working with this company if you need a roof replaced!

Going with Shine for a new roof was a great decision. They did a fantastic job, on time and at a reasonable price. We had a minor issue after the work was done and they came back the next day (on a Sunday) and fixed the issue.

Great job and great people.

This is the second time I have used Shine Construction within a year. (See below). This time it was our home’s roof. Another 5 star job. Everything, including a thorough cleanup, was completed in one day. Manny responded quickly to my call, answered our questions, and did the job earlier than estimated. The price was very competitive. The workmanship was once again superb. No loose nails or shingle pieces left behind. You just cannot go wrong hiring Shine Construction.

Would give Shine Construction more than 5 stars if I could. Manny and his workers did red cedar shingles and window repair on my home. The workmanship was top notch. The cost was a fair price. They were able to start the project earlier than promised. They worked extremely hard; we’re respectful of property; and fully cleaned up when done. I cannot say enough good things about their work and workmanship. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

We used Shine Roofing and Construction, Inc. to replace our roof. The team did a great job! They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the project quickly and as scheduled. They kept everything on track, and it was great to work with them. I highly recommend Manny and his team for roofing or construction needs!!!

Hands down, the finest craftmanship available. I was fortunate enough to be home to watch the entire process. The workers were amazing, like clockwork. They all got along with one another and were very happy working together. There were as many as 9 men here at a time. These men are very skilled. From dawn to dusk and even later on the final day. Some of what they did is not listed below, so I am putting it here. Removal of old shingles of 33 years. Replacement of 34 sheets of plywood. New baffle vents. Replacement of fascia and soffit boards, as well as wrapping them with coil stock to prevent future damage from carpenter bees and woodpeckers, which also helps to keep mice out of the house. New bathroom exhaust fan vent put on the roof where there was not one originally. Joint tape on all plywood seams. Shingle under fabric as well as ice belt. Additional roof ventilation system besides the ridge vent. If you are currently searching for a company to replace your roof and are feeling a bit apprehensive about picking one. Look no further, just call Shine Construction out of Uxbridge Massachusetts. Sincerely, Kevin Elie.

A few years ago, we had Shine replace our roof. It was an incredibly smooth process. Our roof was in horrible shape. They came in, and in a day, it was beautiful. They left the yard spotless as well.
Now most recently, we had them come back to do our deck. We have a 630 sq. Ft deck. A million things could have gone wrong. Best quote by far and the wait list was shorter. Manny is super friendly and nice guy. Steve, the deck specialist, is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Their follow through, professionalism , and quality, yet again “shined” through. 3 days- literal perfection. They are honest company. They warn you about potential extra costs but if they don’t find the issues, they don’t fake them either. A few days later, I got a knock on our door from neighbors commenting on how beautiful it came out. I 10000% recommended Shine to them. I guarantee you won’t be sorry. A fabulously reliable company. Proven over and over again.

Manny and his crew were amazing. They worked from dawn until well after dusk to complete an awesome job on our roof. The work quality was excellent and when they were done, you would never have known the yard has been covered in equipment, boards and debris. Manny was communicative, punctual and honest. I couldn't recommend Shine more highly.

Diego and his team did an excellent job siding our home. Pricing is reasonable and they are a very hard working and reliable group. We are very happy with the end result

Working with Manny and the Shine team was one of the best contracting experiences I've had as a homeowner in 20 years. Manny and his crew were honest, punctual, courteous, and highly professional. They were ready at 7:00 am to start and they were very respectful of our space. The roof and skylights were a very difficult job and the team took a lot of pride in their workmanship (we did too). After they finished, they spent a lot of time making sure there wasn't any debris left over. They even removed the leaves in the flower beds. The roof looks outstanding and we will definitely have them back!

First let me say, I don't typically even bother writing reviews. Yet, I am someone who will ONLY seek someone's services out if I see a ton of great reviews!! Let me tell you, Manny and his crew are EXACTLY how all these awesome reviews of him and his company truly are! A roof is one of the most expensive and stressful things to have done on your home and it MUST be done right. I am the type of person who HAS to have the trust in the workmanship of the company that is being hired. From the start, when contacting Shine thru email, I had an immediate response that someone would get in touch with me shortly. Within a couple of hours I had a call from their office personnel scheduling a time that was good for ME, which was a Saturday appt. 5 star.... for even calling the same day. The day comes that Manny would be coming out for the estimate, he calls 15 min before time scheduled letting me know he's on his way. 5 star.... for the courtesy call and not having to think "I hope they show up". He shows up, meets with my husband outside who wanted to discuss the history/issues of our roof and chimney area we've had for years (not the typical N.E. roofline) and they went over all of it, (along with we were looking to have all new gutters installed) and after Manny went up on the roof and also looked in the attic area he knew EXACTLY, in a matter of fact manner, what needed to be done to get this roof like brand new. My husband (who has the knowledge of roofing procedures, materials used etc) came into the house, as Manny remained outside to measure for materials etc, and said "this guy knows what he's doing and is going to do exactly what I also believe this roof needs to be like brand new". 5 star... Let me just say, I then had FULL CONFIDENCE that Manny and his crew were the company for us! He came in after measuring (and let me say, Manny is the nicest, most professional and non-intimidating contractor I've dealt with, since I tend to ask lots of questions so that I fully understand the process and he answered all my questions, very patient, not rushing or pressuring us into anything), with samples of roofing and a full packet of literature of the materials, warranties, his Certificate of Insurance etc (5 star....didn't even have to ask) and within that 1.5 hour visit, we had the full estimate and signed contract before he even walked out the door. No waiting for an estimate in the mail, etc - he said once permit was secured with the town (with a miniscule deposit of only $400) they would schedule and within 1 week, I had brand new roof and gutters!! He called me day before, said we will be there to start next day at 7:00 (they were prompt arrival 6:45) and by 7 sharp they were already scraping off old shingles! 5 star......My husband had a feeling there was a very good chance of needing to replace plywood, and once they started, they came to that same conclusion, but Manny said no worries, once we gave ok his guys retrieved 69 pieces of plywood so fast, there was NO delay of anything! 5 star....What was GREAT was they text pics of everything they are doing, when putting ice shield on entire house, you see pics of it, when repairing chimney area, you see pics of it, when venting the house properly you see pics of it, it was awesome to see, nothing had to be questioned if it was done or not...5 star....His crew worked non-stop, except for a short lunch break, and ALL was done in that one day (by 6:30 p.m.) even though they planned for 2 days to be sure. That includes cleanup all around the yard etc. The crew was phenomenal. When they were done, all I could say was "Wow, I am really impressed" and you will be too if Shine does your roof! When neighbors walk by and say "that roof looks great", I say "SHINE" :)

Manny is the most professional contractor I've dealt with. His crew is just as good. After stripping the roof making repairs and putting on new roof they left our property cleaner than when they started. Thanks much Manny and crew.
I highly recommend Shine Construction

I was in a bind with water getting into my house causing mold in the attic and water damage to the ceilings of my house. Shine scheduled Victor to come out to assess the issue and the work that needed to be performed. Victor was fantastic, very knowledgeable and informative, on time and always available to take my calls. John, who performs the work was also great, on time, efficient and kept me updated throughout the repair process (including photos). Overall, this was a great experience and I will certainly recommend Shine Construction for anyone looking for repair/roofing work!!

Had problems with water coming in around my chimney into the attic for the better part of two years, and recently started developing some leaks around the gas vents and bathroom damper vent. Already had two masons and two other roofers look at the chimney flashing alone, and they were all saying that it was fine and there was nothing wrong after all the previous work I had done on it to try to stop the water from getting in, including a full chimney rebuild from the flashing up.

Called up Manny, and he got a contract sent out to me in a matter of a couple of days for all the work, and his crew was there in about a week and a half, when all the other roofers I tried were either booked or not returning calls or quotes.

All work was done within a day, which included new vent boots for the gas vents, a new damper vent, and brand new step flashing for the roof and flashing for the chimney, with new roof built around the step flashing and vents. All the work was done neatly with a high level of skill and professionalism behind it.

Had a heavy rainstorm a week later, and I still had a small bit of water come in from around the chimney, but at this point, I partially expected it, as this chimney is just cursed. Called up Manny, and one of his crew was out the next morning attempting some simple repairs, and he said that if those repairs don't do the trick, they'll come back and do a through repair. The following week, had another heavy storm, and still some water got in. Called him again, and he had a crew out the following week to do the through repairs.

A few days later, another bad storm, and finally no water! I'll still be watching for it, but for once I finally had a storm with absolutely no water getting in from around the chimney. Didn't have a single problem from any of the vents after the first repair either. I can fully recommend Manny and his crew for his determination and professionalism to making sure that the repairs were fully taken care of, even after dealing with a cursed chimney like mine, and most importantly, honoring their workmanship warranty. It's great to have found a roofing company who goes the extra mile to make sure their work is top line.

A big thanks to Manny and his crew.

Diego and his team did an excellent job! Al and the crew were very through in keeping us informed on the process as well as cleanup! Diego is excellent in pricing and in communication! Great job shine!!! Our roof came out great!! The crew finished in one day and that's with replacing boards and 3 layers of shingles!!!!!

Shine Construction was recommended to me and I’m glad I went with them. They were extremely professional. Installed the new roof in one day and kept me updated throughout the day with aerial photographs and video. They were extremely courteous and responsive.
