Constraction reviews in Waltham, Massachusetts

We hired Lopez Masonry based on the online reviews as well as a competitive quote. They rebuilt a collapsed retaining wall for us as well as some minor patio work. They were communicative and did a great job. We would hire them again for any masonry work.

We needed our patio and front walk rebuilt. Carlos came right away to give us an estimate. His crew did a great job, on time and on budget. The patio and walkway are better than ever.

Unlike many contractors these days, communication was excellent, they were always very prompt, very clean and respectful, and our stairs came out amazing! Excellent price for the quality of work they supply. Would highly highly recommend!

I hired Lopez's masonry to repair the crumbling mortar on my chimney and install a new chimney cap. They were prompt, professional, and provided a detailed estimate before starting the work. The crew arrived on time and completed the repairs efficiently. The brickwork is seamless, and they were able to save us money by repairing the old cap and it looks very sturdy. They also left the property clean after the work was completed . The price was reasonable, and I felt I received excellent value for the quality of work. Definitely recommend 👌

Carlos is extremely professional and his team did a great job with a wall alongside our driveway. They worked quickly and the wall looks beautiful, it matches the existing wall across perfectly. Thank you Carlos! Highly recommend

Carlos and his team did a great job doing concrete repair and skim coating our garage walls and floor. Very professional and considerate.

I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and quality of work from the Lopez Masonry team. The price was the best number I was quoted from 4 estimates and after each day the cleanup was excellent. I am very happy with the finished work and would happily tell anyone who needs some masonry done to give him a call.

Carlos and his crew did a fantastic job installing a new walkway at our house, They are very experienced and organized. Carlos responds to calls promptly and explains what needs to be done . I highly recommend him!.

WOW! In a time when customer service has totally fallen to the wayside, I couldn't wait to write a positive review about Lopez Masonry! The owner Carlos picked up my call yesterday morning and came a few hours later to give an estimate - his team showed up this morning exactly on time, and they just completed repairing and upgrading our front walkway.
Great craftsmanship, professionalism, and a very fair price - I am thrilled and recommend them highly!

Excellent job done on our front walkway and steps and excellent repair of our back steps.
Our walkway looks amazing, beyond what we expected. I highly recommend them.

Carlos and his team were incredibly responsive and professional throughout the entire project. They did an excellent job rebuilding and repairing our retaining wall, walking path, and steps. His crew was always courteous, neat, and respectful of our property—they cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day.

After seeing how beautifully our pathway was transformed, we’re now considering having Lopez Masonry upgrade our driveway.

We highly recommend Carlos Lopez and his crew. They are hardworking professionals with great personalities, and we’re very pleased with the results.

2025: updated review - I called Lopez masonry to completely rehab my front steps, upgrade the walkway and repoint my rock retaining wall, and they did an amazing job with it. The work is excellent, and the team picked up all the debris and power washed the surfaces clean. Will be using them again in the future.

2022: Our front door steps were falling apart last summer, and after having someone patch the concrete and bricks, it shortly fell apart. A friend recommended Lopez Masonry, and Carlos came right away to check out my steps. His team did a great job with a big repair.
Another great thing about Lopez Masonry is that they also guarantee their work. There was some damage from the winter freeze, which they came to repair this week, and it looks great. I would use Lopez Masonry again for future work around the house.

Vincente is the best. He completed many projects at my home. Front stairs, walkway, two large patios, a new sod lawn with sprinkler system, and drainage. All projects were done with the best quality. He is the best.

Lopez Masonry and his expert team came in and completely transformed our outdoor space. They worked with us to design and create a beautiful backyard.

Carlos raised some concerns throughout the project but was flexible and willing to problem solve. The weather also didn’t cooperate but in the end everything came together perfectly. Will definitely save Carlos’ phone number for the next project, super satisfied.

When we moved in we didn’t know what to do and couldn’t use the space for much. With this new functional redesign I wake up every day and have my coffee outside just to marvel and soak in this 180 degree transformation.

Thanks Carlos and Crew!

I recently hired Lopez Masonry to repair and restore both my front and back brick walkways, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, they were professional, thorough, and communicative.

The difference between the “before” and “after” is night and day. The walkways are now level, secure, and beautifully finished. They also paid close attention to detail, cleaning the bricks and compacting the base so everything looks neat and will last for years to come.

The estimate was very clear and matched the work exactly, and the final product turned out even better than I expected. I’ve hired them twice in the past year, and both times the work was exceptional.

We had an amazing experience working with Carlos and his team on our new retaining wall. They were professional, responsive, and highly skilled throughout the entire project.

From the very first consultation, Carlos listened carefully to what we wanted and offered great design suggestions. During the process, the team was always friendly, communicative, and dedicated at every stage of the project. The finished wall looks fantastic and turned out exactly as we had hoped.

We highly recommend Carlos and his crew to anyone looking for top-quality masonry or landscaping work at a fair and reasonable price!

They do fantastic work. They came and did my landscape and had it looking nice and trimmed. They were very careful going around the big tree in the middle and the 2 large ornamental rocks on
one side of it. no damage done to my beloved tree, others have not been as attentive. Highly recommended.

I try to do most of my own yard work but when I need to call
In the pros I always call Jon. He gets the job done promptly and for a fair price. I will always recommend Jon and his team

Thank you Jhon, my garden is amazing now.

Nice and professional, would 100% use their services again :)

Excellent service highly recommend
