last time i had my carpets cleaned in waltham, calvin from a local company did an amazing job, so i left a great review. this year, i decided to try a different carpet cleaning service because i'd seen their vans around my apartment complex and heard they were okay. i moved out everything except two couches, a recliner, and a small table that’s easy to shift. when i got back, i noticed some carpet stains i had asked them to pretreat were still there. plus, they didn’t move the furniture or clean under it—the plastic mat from the last cleaning was still in place and the carpet underneath wasn’t even wet. the price was a little lower, but now i realize that paying a bit more for quality is worth it. calvin and his team really know how to get carpets fresh and spotless in waltham. i’ll be sticking with them from now on!

This review is NOT about the quality of the carpet cleaning, but how they quote the job over the phone. The way they quoted the job is misleading. The phone rep did not explain that there are 3 levels of cleaning. Clearly my quote was for the lowest level of service, which isn't even a shampoo cleaning. The technician explained the 3 service levels. I chose to go with the middle level, but it was several hundred dollars more than quoted over the phone. That feels like a "bait-and-switch" sales tactic. I'll take my business elsewhere in the future.
