Electrical reviews in Woburn, Massachusetts
-
AJ and team are great to work with. We had a lot of issues due to the location, and coinciding utility work. AJ was very patient and careful to review the details. They worked extremely hard to keep everything on pace, and at each step, made sure everything was in place before proceeding. I could have been a much more nerve racking process. Glad it wasn’t. Thanks AJ

My experience with Future Energy Solar was truly exceptional. From the start, Adam patiently explained the solar panel options and installation process in an easy-to-understand way, addressing all my questions with clarity and expertise. He was also able to provide realistic estimations as to the process, and timeline.
AJ was equally impressive as our project manager. His responsiveness and problem-solving skills ensured that everything ran smoothly, keeping me informed every step of the way. The installation team was also a standout—courteous, professional, and meticulous about maintaining a clean worksite.
Overall, Future Energy Solar delivered a seamless process from start to finish. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable and professional solar energy solutions. -
We wanted to get solar up before the tax credit ended. After thorough research and recommendations, we approached 3 different companies to quote and design. AJ from future energy was 2 of the 3 that showed up in person quickly. The process was very transparent, communications were clear and there were no "games" with pricing or the entire process. Once we decided to move forward. The entire installation crew came on time and was very professional. The whole 38 panel system went up in 1 day. The longest part of the process was waiting for permission to operate after installation from Eversource(local electric company responsible for the grid to the house). We had the system up in less than 3 months. There was one issue after the installation when we weren't getting power from one of the panels. AJ and team came the very next day after we noticed the issue. The Future Energy team identified a faulty wire and fixed the root cause quickly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience dealing with AJ and Future Energy. I'd recommend and use them again for any future projects.

AJ and his team installed our solar system this November in Lexington MA. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and the install was very well done. Communication with Adam (sales) and AJ (CEO) was very smooth throughout the project. I also like that they used US-manufactured panels.
It was a plus that they were able to get our install done before end of year, allowing us to qualify for the 2025 tax credits. -
Got several different quotes for our system. AJ was one of only 2 that showed up in person.
He was super knowledgeable and easy to work with. Put together a great system for our needs.
Timeline from start to turning on was super quick. Always updated on each step. Everyone on the install crew was also great and professional.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to go solar. -
Most helpful consultation! Helped me understand how the solar panels would come together!
-
Horrible company. If I could give zero stars I would. Owners son was so rude to me I'm not sure how they're still un business.
-
You're one-stop shop solar. Heat pump Battery storage. Highly Recommended.
Go above and beyond -
Very professional service and excellent installation of the solar panel. Thanks, Shehzad, for all your help!
-
Great experience, from beginning to the end. Great consultation at the beginning and then finished the work as promised, production is exactly what they predicted. Super helpful throughout the process with any concerns. Highly recommend!

Nuwatt installs solar panels, and lets you own the system. No gimmicks of contracts or lock downs. You pay based on milestones for the work they do, and you own the panels, savings, and credits. The team is easy to work with, transparent pricing, pragmatic approach and they deliver.

Spent weeks working with then and getting a quote. Then, when I told them we were ready to order, they ghosted me. Its been months, Ive called and left so many messages, emails, etc. Theyve never responded.
Neighbors got them too, and apparently werent told about huge changes theyd need to make to their fuse box area in order for it to be up to code. Said customer service was pretty bad.
My contact was Maan Alawa. No idea what happened to him. -
Really bad communication. Nuwatt started the solar project about a year ago and still haven't finished it. Once final deposit was sent, they will lie about the schedule, blame somebody else for their own fault and stop replying any questions you had. The schedule is about 6 month delayed and they are lying about the everything now. I am getting lawyer involved. Please don't choose this low credit company for your solar project.

Site visit project sales guy was 45 minutes late (fine enough, he did communicate that and I know it happens sometimes).
He did not let me know ahead of time that he needed to see the roof from the inside, I have tenants on the top floor and was clear from the beginning about the home being a multi-family.
When I spoke to him on the phone about the initial quote, he said it was all inclusive and I thought that was odd. I pressed him about that on the phone and he said, truly as in some roof work and electrical panel movement would be covered. When he came out he immediately started talking about the added cost of moving the meters from the basement to the outside of the house at an additional cost.
The final straw was him quoting an install time of sometime spring next year when he said over the phone that he could have it done by the end of this year.
He literally said, "Well then give me a one star review". I'll be generous with two.
This felt like a real bait and switch, and worse, he set the timeline back 2-3 weeks for me to find another installer, so who knows if I can get another quality installer at a reasonable price within the end of the year. -
I've had nothing but delays with this company. I started the process with them back in February of 2022 (hoping to take advantage of some summer months for generation), as they had a competitive price and seemingly good reviews (including a personal friend). However, my experience has been nothing but delays and a lack of information. After finally getting an install date in August, I've now been stuck waiting with no information because they didn't file for a permit before the install and now it's just silence. I reach out every two weeks and am given the same line "waiting on our engineering department." If you've got plenty of time to burn, feel free to go with these guys, otherwise I'd go elsewhere.

NuWatt Energy continues to provide excellent customer service. We recently had an issue with our inverter. They got back to me within 24 hours of calling them and their tech team handled all the necessary work for the warranty claim. Their electrician will be out as soon as the replacement shows up. Thank you!

If I could give 4.5 stars I would! In general, the company was very good to work with. The customer rep we worked with, Adan, was very responsive, knowledgeable, forthcoming and friendly. At times when he was unavailable to answer questions, there were a couple of others at the company who jumped in. The guys who came out and did the installation were quick, efficient, polite and organized. I only knock them down a bit because the delay was a bit longer than expected and not every step of the process was as well explained as I think it could have been. (My understanding is that they are working to provide a clearer overview of the process and timing.) We are so glad we got solar! The savings had been amazing in just the first year.

This is the first time I've had a bad enough experience with a company for me to go out and leave a review about what happened. I plan to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. If these issues continue, I may have to reach out to lawyer as well. Quickly covering the two big issues I've specifically had before going into some other general reasons for avoiding this company.
1) The install was promised to take 2-4 months. It actually took 10 months.
2) They installed a faulty system that they promised to fix and still haven't delivered.
More detail on number 1: We signed a contract with them in January of 2022. The initial promised timeline for the project was 2-4 months. They missed that deadline. And every time I'd ask them about it, they'd project another 1-2 months before completion. Welp, it wasn't until November of 2022 that we were finally able to turn on the system. So we missed the whole summer and most of fall for power generation. Furthermore, upon turning on the system, it immediately ran into a software issue that took them another month to fix.
Something that I absolutely have to highlight from this stage -- There was a point in the middle of that process where the project manager bizarrely tried to tell me that he never promised any timelines and he had no idea where I was getting these from. Which was truly baffling because we had all of that communication in writing. Not only that, but the contract they had me sign had the timelines! I proceeded to reply back highlighting the four times (to that point) where he promised a timeline. His response? No response. Not even a "My mistake, I'm sorry."
More detail on number 2: We had our solar panels turned on for less than 6 months before the breaker started tripping anywhere from 3-10 times a week. Every time the breaker trips, we aren't producing energy. No notifications from the app either. I just have to happen to notice that the breaker tripped in order to realize we aren't producing energy. Even worse than that, there are times where the breaker will trip immediately after turning it back on, meaning we can't get our generation going for days. I contacted them about this and they agreed this falls under the warranty of the system, but they never came to fix the issue. This issue started back in early April 2023... it's now January 2024. I've emailed or called 17 times. They have given me absolutely no update and made no attempt to schedule a time with me to send the electrician. Twice they promised timelines that they failed to deliver. They promised to escalate the priority of the issue... well it's been radio silence on their part since then.
This is a company that will consistently make promises which they have no intention of keeping.
As I've talked to them, I've come to understand their business model is to sell whatever projects it can and just put it on a backlog of todo items for their subcontractors that they get to at their own convenience. They don't attempt to contract new electricians as their load goes up. I really wish I had just paid the couple extra bucks for the other companies that I actually have heard good things about. -
Highly recommend Nuwatt Energy! They installed my 12.4 kw DC system with microinverters back in July, and it was a smooth process working with them even in Somerville where the inspector is tough to deal with. I am moving forward with them for heat pumps in my home as well, as they are familiar with getting me a $10k rebate and offering great products.
Don't think twice! -
After getting numerous solar quotes NuWatt Energy gave us the best price and had the best panel to offer. We had a great experience with Adan Ascencio out of the Woburn, MA office. Other solar companies we talked with reminded us of old car salesmen that wouldn't listen to our wants/concerns, didn't have answers and just wanted to rush us into a contract. Adan was patience, well educated/knowledgeable and took care of everything throughout the whole process. If we had to do it all over again we would choose NuWatt Energy.

I don't usually bother with reviews, but Nuwatt really knocked it out of the park. As a retired construction pro who's seen it all, I've got a critical eye for details - and these folks didn't miss a beat.
Right from the get-go, their sales team had their ducks in a row. They fielded my barrage of questions like pros, giving me the nitty-gritty without any BS - and this was before I'd even signed on the dotted line.
Once all the red tape was sorted (you know how it goes with permits), they had boots on the ground within two weeks. The crew knew their stuff, but it was Halil who really caught my eye. The guy's attention to detail was something else - made me feel damn good about having them work on my place.
Sure, we hit a small snag with the inspector being on vacation (typical, right?), but once that was sorted, the utility gave us the green light and we were cooking with gas. Or should I say, solar?
Fast forward a year, and I'm sitting pretty with enough energy credits to kiss my power bill goodbye. That's what I call results.
Look, I've dealt with my fair share of contractors over the years. Nuwatt's team - from the suit-and-tie folks to the guys getting their hands dirty - they're the real deal. Know their stuff inside out and won't give you the runaround.
If you're thinking about going solar, do yourself a favor and give Nuwatt a shout. In my book, they're top-shelf. They'll do right by you, guaranteed.
