The backyard was overgrown and neglected for many years. Mike, and his wonderful crew, transformed it. New patio, beds, plants and pathways along with fresh loam and seed. All done in little more than a week.
Mike, and his team’s, expertise is apparent as I look onto a renewed backyard. Bonus? All done to plan and within budget.
Looking forward to part 2 of the project next year.

When I was building my new home I hired Wollaston Development to do all the exterior landscaping and design which included sod, mulch and new trees/shrub, brick paver walkway and beautiful brick paver back patio with built-in grill. They were super helpful with their ideas, responsive and got the work done in a timely manner and I love my yard and patio! I've recommended them to my friends who were also very happy. I still reach out with questions and Mike has been my go-to guy.

Wollaston Development installed a stone patio and exterior stairs at our home in Somerville. Their attention to detail in choosing quality materials while staying within our tight budget was really beneficial. Their crew showed up on time everyday working tirelessly in a crazy heat wave hauling materials in and out by hand! Was so impressed with the result I referred them to another family member who needed a stone patio renovated in Milton and their result was equally as good. Would highly recommend working with these guys.

We had a large retaining wall constructed by Wollaston and from the design process, to the permits, to the organization and the execution of the project, Mike and his team were wonderful to work with. It was a complicated area and they made sure there were no issues. They explained every step to us throughout the project and were very responsive when we had any questions. We are thrilled with the finished product and would absolutely use them again!

Amazing experience. The owner helped us fit our budget and still got us everything we wanted! They provided their design expertise to make our yard look amazing. I never could have designed my yard without them! The team was incredibly professional and responsive. I am looking forward to doing more projects with them. We just completed our dream project with Wollaston design. We had a great experience and love the end product. Mike is great to work with and he has a top notch team from Patrizia on front end engagement to Joe and Joey who contributed greatly to the design and expertly managed the execution to the guys who did all the demo, installation and planting. Where do I begin.... these guys did a really fantastic job! The short version is right price, great attention to detail, prompt, courteous and hard working.

We had a 5ft fieldstone wall that must have been over 50 yrs old. It was bowing and some of the larger stones had fallen out. Mike (owner) came in did a quick review, talked me through budget & options. I asked them to replace a walkway and put in place a paved patio where we had a sloping lawn as part of the job. Mike followed up promptly with a well-priced very clear quote. He did't push me to do extra work and helped me stay within budget.

They started work about a month later and in 9 days finished the entire job! They repaired the wall doing as much as was needed to make it look almost new while retaining it's rustic look. They were able to re-use the stones we had, and also solved several drainage issues that were causing problems elsewhere. The job site was kept clean and organized each day so we had minimal disruption. The team came in by 8 every morning and were always extremely courteous.

I will definitely be using them again for hardscape and landscape work and will recommend them to everyone!

The process was surprisingly easy. They worked with our concepts and added their expertise. We enjoyed trips with the owner to the stone yard, nursery, and neighborhood design examples.

Mike was responsive, timely, and helpful, and his team were professional and did high quality work. We needed all the weeds, construction debris, and old plantings cleaned from our yard, and new soil places with a basic retaining wall and some leveling of the property. We are very pleased with the work and can't wait to get started building our new garden. I would hire them again without question..

We recently had the pleasure of working with Mike and his team at WD Landscaping for a major backyard remodel, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We had a small slope in our yard that we wanted to level out, and Mike's team did a fantastic job of making our vision a reality.

They skillfully leveled the yard, installed a beautiful boulder retaining wall, and removed several trees while planting new ones with a well-designed garden bed. The team also installed a comprehensive irrigation system and lighting, which have transformed our backyard into a stunning and functional space.

We needed to rip out our small front and back yards and replace the plants with pet-friendly, drought tolerant plantings. Mike and his crew did a highly professional, beautiful, and timely job, and they even made up for time lost to an unexpected, monsoon-like downpour. I have been using Wollaston Development for 3 years now on various properties that I manage and they are highly recommended. The team communicates everything very clearly and detailed and are always willing to go the extra mile to make our residents enjoy their homes. They are cost effective and personable. These guys are amazing. It was a small patio that needed to be done since we moved in, but always took a back seat to all the other projects. This time I simply pulled the trigger and I couldn’t have been happier. These guys came in and in a few days finished a beautiful job. I know it sounds stupid, but I cried when I saw it. I’m a picky perfectionist and there generally is something I can pick out that is off or could have been better. This is perfect. I love it more than I even thought I would. Highly recommend!!

We had an excellent experience working with Wollaston. Wollaston installed three drywells, irrigation, garden beds, front & back lawn, shrubs, tree, lighting, etc. We began working with Mike early on to develop and shape our landscaping ideas for our home. Mike made great recommendations, provided guidance on vegetation, and easily handled changes along the way. The entire Wollaston team was super professional. I’ve had great experiences with Wollaston. They rebuilt my patio which was collapsing into itself and did a beautiful job with brick work and cobblestone edging. Reasonable price too. They also do my Spring cleanup for my gardens and apply loam They work quickly and neatly. I highly recommend Wollaston for garden needs.
