CCH technician was prompt, very knowledgeable and patient in explaining what needed to be done. I felt very confident in his work, so I signed up for an annulal service contract.

Returned home from a week long vacation to no heat and furnace not cutting on. Phil from Central Cooling & Heating was here first thing in the morning, got right on it and diagnosed the problem and by lunchtime we had heat again. Top notch service, very communicative and thorough - excellent company and service!

I was having issues with my compressor, two other companies gave me two different answers and two different a large quotes. Thankfully I called Central Cooling and Heating (recommended by a friend) Chris N. was thorough and knowledgeable, fixed part of the issue, diagnosed the additional issue and I saved money. Thank you!

Alex did an excellent job! His explanations re: the longer term plan for my heat pump units was extremely easy to understand and therefore very informative.

Jay, Eggar, Hener, Rob, Hans, and Zach did an exceptional job installing my furnaces, making sure I had heat after I was in the cold. They were really professional and explained how the system worked after they were done. What a great crew!

The repairman came right on time and asked us about our concerns. He cleaned out the furnace and replaced some parts. I now the difference between a plumber and a heating specialist. Some of the parts had been replaced incorrectly by a plumber and our repairman pointed out the parts should be brand as the furnace. When he left I felt much more confident that our old furnace would make it through the winter.

My heat stopped working of course right before the holidays, and I contacted central cooling and heating at 2:30pm, and they had sent someone within the hour to take a look and diagnose my issue! Phil came and took a look and spent a lot of time trying to diagnose the problem! He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and explained everything to me. He gave me various options and his recommendations of what to do. I really appreciate his help and how fast everything was taken care of. Planned the next visit to repair and also consult to replace my unit (needs it!)

The experience with CC&H was excellent from the very beginning. The communication, scheduling and professionalism was outstanding. Sandro De Sousa was very knowledgeable, thorough and explained every detail of his work on my furnace. I could not be more satisfied with the work Sandro did.

Company responded with a tech who spent 3 hours assessing the situation. Charged over $600 for the diagnostic and them there was zero follow through- I had to call about part being ordered, no follow through after that -
Second company called sent a capable and experienced tech who charged $159 for the diagnostic and ordered the part- I received a call the next day.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND CENTRAL COOLING ANS HEATING!
Ripped off our family during the coldest snap of this 2025-6 winter. Shameful.

Brian Lynch was the technician who came to do our scheduled system maintenance. He was extremely knowledgeable. Brian documented the service maintenance through photos, which were forwarded along to me. From start to finish, it was an exceptional experience. Please do something meaningful to acknowledge Brian’s exceptional service.

Their office was responsive and listened regarding heating problem. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I’ve used them at both my business and residence. I consider their prices fair. I’d highly recommend

We recently hired Central Cooling & Heating to replace the furnaces and AC compressors at our home in Somerville. We couldn’t have been more satisfied. The work took place over two days. The crew arrived on time, worked tirelessly, cleaned up at the end of each day and patiently answered all our questions. The quality of the work was excellent. If you need work done to your heating or air conditioning system, you won’t be disappointed with Central Cooling and Heating.

BRIAN was excellent. He went beyond what I expected. It was a last-minute appointment because my thermostat broke down. And he explained everything from inside the house to outside the house and recommended the best steps for me to take next. He was excellent.

CC&H replaced my central air system. They were super efficient, took care not to leave a mess, spent a long time walking me through the new system and best practices for keeping it in tip top shape, and answered every single question I had (including how the inner workings of the unit worked) with patience and knowledge. Would absolutely recommend!

The tech,Brian, was very professional, responsive and had strong expertise in diagnosing my emergency heating system problem. This was a Sunday night when outside temperature was 5°F with a worse wind chill.

Central Cooling & Air did an outstanding job installing a new gas furnace and AC system in my home. After speaking with five different HVAC companies, they were the only team that offered truly high-quality equipment and took the time to explain why it was the right choice for my house.

Jonathan, my salesperson, was exceptional—he explained every option clearly, answered all of my questions, and was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. Brenda and Robin, who handled my payments, were also wonderful to work with: friendly, professional, and extremely helpful.

The installation team was knowledgeable, efficient, and completed everything exactly on schedule. Their pricing was very fair, especially considering the quality of the equipment and the level of service. I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

The HVAC system shut down the heat on a Sunday. We tried a few other plumbing outfits but Central Cooling and Heating was the only one to have a tech available same day.

Caroline, (dispatch) helped me identify the source of the shutdown. It was a filled condensation pan that tripped the pump to shut down. If I was more familiar with this type of system, I may have drained the pan myself, but opted to go forward with the tech.
The upfront price to walk in the door was $300. A text message was sent identifying the tech and time window for arrival.

The tech was friendly and quickly decided that the pump failed and had a form for signing with the cost to drain the pan and replace the pump: $695.99.

We opted to have the tech drain the pan and install and test the condensate pump because we needed the heat on.

He was finished in a little over an hour.
The total expense was an unbelievable $995.99.
I thought the $300 would be applied to the service.
Personally, I felt the pricing form and signature tactic was pressure in a stressful situation. I cannot recommend this company.

I changed my review to 4 stars due to the response from Diane, the representative from Central Cooling & Heating. She followed up with me a week after this service.
Diane listened to my experience and provided a professional explanation of their service process including pricing.
She expressed concern about my impression and made a fair adjustment to the price, refunding my credit card. She followed up today to make sure I saw the credit.

Phil O'Reilly got our heat working again and then did a thorough assessment of our system, which is 25 years old. He wrote a detailed description of his findings, providing a prospective sequence of upgrades that we might undertake, which was very helpful. Phil was courteous and knowledgeable and very informative throughout his visit.
