Scott was fantastic. We initially tried to go the cheap route with another landscaping company with our retaining wall, big mistake. Scott and his team were able to come out and redo the entire project the correct way and we could not be happier with the final product. Scott was communicative through the entire project and got it done in a timely manner. We will definitely be going back to Rooks for a future landscaping needs.

The team is very respectful and friendly. They do a great job and are conscientious of our yard. Thanks!

Posting the text of the email I recently sent:

I wanted to write to say how much I appreciate having your company as our snow plow service. We have used other companies in the past and they don't even come close to the level of service and communication as your company provides.

First, I think your emails are hilarious! However, more importantly than that is the fact that they are extremely informative and help set expectations. It makes it much easier to sit back and relax when you know what to expect.

Second, I saw something this past weekend which was extremely impressive and led me to write this email. My daughter loves watching the plow, garbage truck, etc. so on Saturday when you guys came to do our driveway we were able to watch him do our driveway. We live on a cul-de-sac which I am sure (or at least I imagine) adds a layer of complexity that drivers don't necessarily look forward to. Our driver cleared our driveway and was pushing the snow down the road to clear it. When doing that he built up a good size bank in front of our neighbors driveway which would have taken my neighbor awhile to clear had it been left there. However, when the driver was done with his task on our driveway, his final swipe was to pull up my neighbors drive and cleared it out.

I am not sure if this is company policy or if the driver just was thoughtful enough to do that but I think it was a classy move and other folks likely would not have done the same thing. I was very impressed. Plus it probably saved me a conversation with a neighbor had it not been cleared. In short.....please let whoever plowed our driveway on Saturday know he did a great job and we appreciate it.

Woods has been great for snowplowing, and lawn care. Dependable, timely, affordable, communicative, convenient.

The lawn looks great. The workers spend time cleaning the sidewalks & driveway of grass from mowing. They are kind & do their job well.

This is a remarkable company to work with. I hired them to apply for seasonal treatments. My lawn looks fantastic. The new grass came up in less than two weeks and it looks terrific. They’re easy to do business with and they communicate effectively.

They always do a great job of caring for my driveway - from plowing in the winter to raking stone back on the drive & putting sections of grass back on the lawn.

My driveway was always plowed. When Wood’s was running late, I was always notified. Very good job on communicating.

In early June we needed to hire a lawn mowing service and found that Woods Landscape Maintenance could fit us into their schedule for which we are very grateful. Each of the teams that have mowed our lawn have done a wonderful job. They have completed the work in a timely fashion and the mowing, trimming, and edging have all been completed to a high standard. In addition, recently, the teams have very willingly accommodated our request to change their method of accessing the lower level of our yard with their equipment to use a different (longer) route to avoid recently painted stairs on the usual route.
We found the price charged for the mowing competitive with other companies we’ve hired over the years and the work to be of superior quality.
Our contacts with the office have also been very positive (A very capable and pleasant Woods Landscaping employee actually answers the phone!) and any message that we needed to have passed along to our lawn maintenance teams has been communicated to them.

This company does not treat all costumers fairly. After several calls to fix things at our house during plow seasons, giant boulders moved down the driveway, hitting stakes and walls and just not getting plowed we received no compensation let alone even replies. Other costumer’s issues have been reconciled DAY OF while we have been ignored. We have been told our driveway is “too hard” and been plain skipped when they snow was 12 inches deep and we were snowed in.

I was well satisfied with the work done by Woods. They surpassed my expectations. I will certainly continue with their company.

Woods is reliable, do a great job, don't run over the dog's toys that the dog doesn't pick up, and once made a quick trip to my driveway for an urgent plow. Friendly people, in the office too. I shopped around and Woods' pricing is competitive.

After the first couple of mows, I thought my lawn was cut too high, so I expressed my concerns and they went above and beyond making sure I was satisfied and now it’s perfect!

The people at Woods seem quite lovely, but the services are quite lacking. We used Woods for snowplowing over two winters and received numerous, lengthy emails explaining why driveways hadn’t been plowed. This occurred with almost every snowfall event for two years. Reasons ranged from lack of employees, employees needing rest, timing of the snow removal being difficult due to traffic patterns, etc. All of these issues may have been true, but our neighbors’ driveways were plowed, by several other companies, 3-8 hours before ours was ever done. Apparently the other snowplow services did not have these same problems. We haven’t had this issue with any of the snowplow services we’ve used before or after using Woods.

We wanted to give Woods another try, since they’re local, so we requested a landscaping estimate. After several weeks of no reply, we contacted them again since all the other companies on our list had provided estimates within a week of us contacting them. The Woods estimate was received the day after our reminder email, and we booked their services. Several weeks later we have now received an email stating they are, once again, understaffed. They don’t know if or when they can complete our job, so we have had to go with one of our other estimates/companies. Had we done this initially, the job would have been done by now. Instead we assumed Woods was scheduling our work (since a deposit had been submitted), but this was not the case. The email described above was very professional, and they stated that the entire industry is facing these same issues, but the two other landscaping companies we have contacted are able to get us scheduled within the month and would have completed the work already had we booked with them initially. Why is Woods unable to hire or retain employees? Their email stated they did not overcommit this year, but clearly they are having significant issues that other businesses are not having.

Lastly, not long ago we looked outside to find a Woods employee working in our yard. We had not booked nor paid for their services. The employee showed us a copy of a work order with our address listed. They stated we had called to have some repair work done due to damage caused by their weed and feed team. A simple check of their records would have shown them that we have never used them for weed and feed. We did not request their services. We did not confirm any type of work or appointment with them, yet they were in our yard, working on our lawn.

Of course they mean well, and everyone has been very kind, but in all of our attempts to use Woods, our experiences have been pretty awful.

Wood’s Landscaping has been our mainline Landscaping and Snowplowing here at Cumberland Ridge Condo Association, since 2016 here in Lowell. All of their staff, including office employees, have gone over and beyond to take care of this huge project. We’ve always appreciated how quickly things are taken care of by the great team of leadership they have employed there. Jason , Thank you for everything you do.

Woods is exceptional because of the leadership’s commitment to getting it done well and right. Thank you to Jason; he sets high standards and leads by example. I strongly recommend them for both plowing and lawn mowing services. If there is a problem, they promptly make it right.
