I was referred to Jeff at Buchanan Electric by Generac Generators as one of their preferred generator dealers. We met at my home early August 2021 and signed a contract for Jeff's company to install a 24kw Generec whole house generator.

Fast forward to April 2022: With COVID19 parts shortages and my lack of availability , the installation was finally done a few days ago. Jeff's crew (Pete, Clint, and guys) arrived as promised and worked diligently throughout the day to completely install, test and explain the use of the generator and transfer switch. They even installed my whole house surge suppressor as I requested!

They used drop cloths throughout my house during the installation and wore disposable booties when inside the house. They cleaned up after they were done, were very professional, and did everything they they said they would do.

Buchanan Electric came to our home yesterday to install a stand alone generator. The whole process from setting up the appointment for an estimate to installation was seamless. Jeff and his crew were wonderful to our family. They answered any and all our questions from start to finish. Everything was explained in great detail to us on the operation of our new toy! They had no issues with us having animals and even enjoyed our dogs affection. The crew left zero mess. They were awesome in how professional they were with each other as well. Tried to arrange a service call a few weeks ago, was quoted that service at a specific price. My scheduled appointment date was pushed out a week from the original date because they couldn’t get to me in time, okay no worries.

The next scheduled date came and it’s already noon, I call them asking if I would receive service, it did not seem like they had a tech ready to send to me that day despite being told I was scheduled for that day. Despite this they were able to arrange for someone to come out. We verified price again, and were set. A short time later I receive a call letting me know that the price that was quoted is no longer the price and it would be an additional $50-60.

I decided at that point I wasn’t comfortable with the chaotic nature of this service i was receiving and decided to cancel the appointment because of the scheduling issues and them revising the service call cost right as they were sending a technician out.

Buchanan Electric installed my Generac and Jeff along with his team were amazing. When it came to the information and understanding of the device up to the date of installation of the device his team was absolutely amazing. I talked to a few electricians before I made a decision of what direction to take and I am so happy I went with Buchanan Electric hands down . I appreciate companies that are knowledgeable of their products, have exemplary customer service, and high quality of work and they hit them all out the park. It's been a year since Jeff and his crew installed our whole house generator. Our decision to buy one was based on the fact that we lost power on the regular for the 30 years we've lived here. As we suspected, now that we have the generator we have lost power exactly once for about 2 hours. That said, it was fantastic to hear it kick in without missing a beat. The crew was wonderful, they took great care to work around our garden and left our yard neat. Our calls were answered promptly and we were shown how to use and troubleshoot the unit before the crew left. Thank you!

Had appt at 2 pm today 10-3-25. I called at 2:05. Jeff the owner called to see guys at. They have couple more hours on job. So they can't come today. Why can't come after they are done????? Not right leave people stuck like that. Shitty service.

We purchased a Generac from them and they just installed it very thoroughly and professionally.
I'm so happy. No more power outage. It is all self controled.
I can control and watch it on my phone when it notifies me of a power failure and turns itself on.
The crew of Buchanan was very courteous and clean. Double checking function and making sure all appliances were turned back on (hotwater tank) from power shut off during install.
I would highly recommend them for purchase and continued service for quality of my Generac. Worth the investment.

Prompt response time, service and installation of Generac Home Standby Generator. Promptly provided quote including all sales promotions and rebates, and submitted all necessary paperwork to receive 10 year warranty extension and rebate monies. Both owner and office personnel provided excellent service.

I had an issue with my outlets in the kitchen and he talked me through troubleshooting over the phone before sending the electrician. It was a small fix and I really appreciate that he was willing to spend time to fix the problem over the phone. Very nice and I will definitely be using this companyfor future projects.

I went with McGuire because of their professionalism in communicating and honest timelines even before they came to give me an estimate. They rewired my garage and put a subpanel in.

Jay came out and asked me what I was looking to do to make sure he was quoting me right. When the team came to get the job done they were great at communicating their timeline and what would be done each day.

Devin and Matt were the guys doing the work and they were professional, quick, and were able to accomplish everything in the time quoted.

The office staff was great in contacting me and telling me who to call and how to schedule my inspection.

Overall I don't regret choosing McGuire and would recommend to anyone. In fact, I'm planning on contacting them soon to add a 220v outlet to the breaker to connect a welder.
