I called McGuire electric when my lights began to dim repeatedly. On the phone, they told me the problem could have multiple causes and that the first step would be to call the power company. I called the power company, and they came out and found that the problem was their issue on the power pole. They fixed it, and it cost me nothing. I appreciate that McGuire gave me good advice rather than coming out and charging me money.
A year later I decided to upgrade some of the circuits in my house. McGuire sent a man out, he did an evaluation and came up with a solution. He worked for about half a day and did a great job. The upgrades are just what I needed. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable. Very good experience. I will call McGuire again when I need electrical work.

I called McGuire Electric and left a message for service for several outlets that were not getting power. I was promptly called back and spoke with Mick who was informative and up-front about the costs, friendly and overall very professional. We were able to schedule an appointment the next morning.

In the morning I was greeted by Jason and Logan. They worked quickly while still being extremely courteous, personable, professional, as well as informative. They were able to diagnose, solve the issue, and clean up in less than an hour.

I will definitely call McGuire Electric again for any electrical work that needs to done and I highly recommend their work. They are the gold standard of what they do.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work that Kevin and team from McGuire Electric did for us, highly recommend!!! We had an extensive list of things done - install recessed lighting, new install and replacement of several ceiling fans, add outlets, upgrade existing outlets, install chandelier & pendant lights, and upgrade lighting and fan in bathroom. Kevin was always on time and did high quality work. He was respectful of our space and the fact that we were working from home (with two children in tow) and was super personable and friendly to boot. If we need additional electrical work done in the future, McGuire Electric is who we will call and request Kevin again!

I had the McGuire out last week to wire my basement. With it being new remodel, they definitely went above and made sure all of my extra wants were met. I would highly recommend for any electrical work or issues needed!!

Came out and gave an estimate. Agreed on date, time, job details and estimate max costs. Kevin and Richard were on time very friendly thoughtful and did a great job and cleaned up. I choose them from Google reviews and they were excellent. Fair price, timely and excellent work I gladly write this excellent review.

Kevin was very pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions asked. He located the source of my problem quickly, and just as quickly remedied the situation. Pricing was very reasonable. Would definitely hire McGuire Electric again.

McGuire electric does excellent work. I have used them twice, once to install recessed lighting in bedroom and again just recently to install 16 recessed lights in my hallway and living room area. They were professional, friendly, and efficient. They were able to give advice and made some great suggestions, which I took! Both installs were a great experience and I will definitely use them again for my bath and kitchen remodels! Their pricing is fair and the work is quality!

We have used McGuire Electric since we bought our house in 2015. They have always done quality work. We recently did a large job with new panel and everything has been working excellently. They came back a few months later to check on a small problem that wasn't even related to their original work (turned out to be due to a faulty surge protector causing light flickering down the electrical path), and they didn't even charge us. Their worker Griffin is great!

I had an incredible experience with McGuire Electric! I'm a first time home-buyer in Royal Oak and my electrical had never been touched since the home was built in 1952. They upgraded my panel to 200 amp and changed my setup from overhead to underground. I knew after my first conversation with Mick that I was in good hands. Mick is an absolute pleasure to talk to- knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly organized. Jason came out and gave me an assessment, he was patient, thorough, and helped me understand my options and the overall process. The team was done on time and even came back after DTE installed the underground cables to make sure everything was done safely and they removed any remaining overhead lines. McGuire Electric is unparalleled in their expertise and professionalism, I highly recommend!

I had McGuire come out a few weeks ago to remove an old panel and rewire our garage. They also installed some new outlets and switches and added outdoor spotlights for us as well. Everything went really well and Devan and Matt did a really great job. They answered all of my questions, cleaned up the garage well and really tried to minimize how much drywall they needed to remove in order to complete the job, which I appreciated. Mick and the office staff were very responsive as well. Definitely will be my first call for any electric jobs in the future!

McGuire Electric did a great job for me converting my overhead service to underground and upgrading my panel to 200 amp. They were fast, professional, and very knowledgeable. Jay was the lead on the team and he was terrific. He was familiar with the city inspection codes and DTE requirements and saved me from making a costly mistake that would have happened if I had gone with another electrician that had given me an estimate on the job. I’ve worked with at least 4 different electricians over the years and there is no comparison to my experience with McGuire. I’m very happy with their work. I’ve found my go-to electrician.

I just had another great experience with McGuire Electric. I accidentally cut through the electric line to my garage. Even though they are booked out a month with work, they sent a team out on an emergency basis to help me out of a jam. The existing wiring in the garage was not up to code so they fixed that at the same time. The work was very high quality and professional and the quick response was a life saver. Very happy.

Flawless Tesla Charger Installation by McGuire Electric Inc.

I highly recommend McGuire Electric Inc. for their outstanding work installing my Tesla charger. They completed the job swiftly and with great care, ensuring no damage to my home. Their attention to detail, ensuring the charger is in the best place in my garage is especially remarkable, as I had originally wanted the charger in a different place, with the electricians noting some of the disadvantages of having it there, demonstrating a better location for it, ensuring I didn't run into problems in the future.

Amazing jobs by: Bryce and Gary!

I haven’t even had any work done by McGuire Electric yet, but Mick spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me earlier this week when called to ask about a Panel/Service upgrade and EV outlet installation. Where most others would have jumped at the opportunity to take my money, Mr. McGuire asked me a series of questions and advised me against it. Stating that with my amount of driving I could easily get by on the 100A service I have and possibly even just a regular 120V outlet. I asked quite a few questions and he was more than happy to answer! I will be calling you again soon Mick, as I have decided on getting a dedicated 20A 240V circuit for a NEMA 6-20 outlet installed. Thank you so much for your help!

Edit May 04, 2024: It’s been about 2 weeks since Griffin and Bryce came to install the outlet and everything is working great! They did a wonderful job with the installation and cleaning up afterwards. They even put back the paneling they had to remove to get the wiring in. The city inspector came a week after install and signed off on everything. 100% will be calling McGuire Electric for any future electrical work!

Hired McGuire Electric about 6 months ago to install an external outlet and some basic electrical work around the house. Gary and Bryce did a great job! Will be using them again for future work.

I've used McGuire Electric for two properties I own. They are professional, on time, and provide upfront pricing. I've used them for various projects - installing ceiling fans, replacing outlets, electrical updates and trouble shooting. I feel they are honest, do quality work and offer fair pricing. Griffyn has been the technician to provide service for the last serveral projects, and he is very good. Highly recommend them.

McGuire rewired my house to eliminate knob and tube. The crew was efficient and very clean. Communication was great throughout the entire project. They even made suggestions along the way. I will definitely be using McGuire for all my electrician needs.

After reading many outstanding reviews, I decided to call McGuire Electric. The owner, Mr. McGuire answered the phone and gave me a very fair estimate on installing three fans in my home. Additionally, the availability for installation was very quick. Gary came to our home and did a fantastic job! He explained everything, was extremely efficient, highly knowledgeable and very professional. Shortly thereafter, we had an outlet that was burned out (which Gary found), this may have been a fire hazard so I am very fortunate it was found and promptly replaced and repaired. I am so happy to find a new electrician as this is not a skilled trade to skim on. Gary and McGuire Electric are second-to-none. Trustworthy, dependable, prompt and professional. Devan is a legend! After a week of radio silence from DTE, he had a new service drop pole installed and got all the wires off my garage roof in an hour, two days after I had them come out for a quote. McGuires, you guys rock.

I just had 2 great guys (Griffin and Matt) install 3 ceiling fans for me. Great service. They cleaned up afterwards and even took the boxes from the ceiling fans with them which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend. Also one of them looked like the actor Luke Mitchell from Blindspot.
