Reviews of local pros in Clawson, Michigan

I had no power and called Jeff, he came the next day, on a holidays weekend. While he was unable to fix the transfer switch today, he was able to restore my power and will return on 7/10/22 to repair said switch. For this I will be eternally grateful.

Jeff and his crew did an excellent job with the installation, fit/finish of our Generac. Highly recommend!

From estimate to installation, everyone was friendly and informative. Would recommend highly if looking for a home generator.

Tried sooo hard to use this company to install a portable generator hook-up. The owner was the reason a purchased the generator. Called 4 times, left numerous messages, asking him to please let me know if he was or was available. I never got any kind of response. So glad I did not have this company install a whole house generator.

Jeff Buchanan is one of the most efficient and professional electrical contractors we have ever known and we will be using him for everything we ever need and referring him to anyone we meet! He provided excellent services and was friendly and helpful and explained everything he was doing, and he made everything so easy to handle! If you need an electrician and electrical services please use Buchanan electrical,!

Bought a whole house generator. They showed up when they said they would, worked quickly, were very polite, cleaned up their mess and explained what I needed to know about the generator. Highly recommend this business.

The crew of Buchanan Electric was very professional. They came in and started working diligently. I ask the question were they family related they were so close-knit. I will refer and recommend Buchanan Electric LLC to my family and friends. Thanks guys job well done!

Great service and was able to fix our electrical panel. Cleaned everything up after them.

They installed a Generac generator for our condo. Very professional, very responsive and so easy to work with. We highly recommend them. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Thank you Vinny and Jeff!

Omg, everyone from Jeff the owner who came to the house for the estimate and explained all that we needed to the installation and the guys were TOP NOTCH. I got a recommendation from a friend and owe her one. It was such a great experience from beginning to end. Thankyou Fana and Bruce

Had a generic generator installed, Jason and Will were great.

I was referred to Jeff at Buchanan Electric by Generac Generators as one of their preferred generator dealers. We met at my home early August 2021 and signed a contract for Jeff's company to install a 24kw Generec whole house generator.

Fast forward to April 2022: With COVID19 parts shortages and my lack of availability , the installation was finally done a few days ago. Jeff's crew (Pete, Clint, and guys) arrived as promised and worked diligently throughout the day to completely install, test and explain the use of the generator and transfer switch. They even installed my whole house surge suppressor as I requested!

They used drop cloths throughout my house during the installation and wore disposable booties when inside the house. They cleaned up after they were done, were very professional, and did everything they they said they would do.

I highly recommend Buchanan Electric for your Generac generator installation.

Terrific customer service. 2 friendly and competent gentleman came to our home right on time, prompt, quick installation and clean up. They were very conscientious of our home and did a phenomenal job. Will definitely use Buchanan Electric again and recommend to anyone.

We had our whole house generator done by this company after building our new home. All I can say is WOW! I wish all construction and contracting companies operated with as much integrity as this company! I am so impressed with the owner and his crew! We had our generator installed by them & they did an amazing job. I would highly recommend this company above ALL THE REST for all of your electrician needs! FIVE STARS FOR SURE!

From the initial consultation to the final completion of the installation this company was a pleasure to deal with, first off they were by far the best price I found, Jeff was very easy to reach in the weeks leading up to the installation of my whole home generator when I had questions. The crew who came and installed my generac were professional in their composure and their work quality, very happy with my service and experience with them. Highly recommend

Last week Buchanan electric installed an 18k generator for me. It was a wonderful experience. They did everything that they said they would do. Totally professional crew with a high standard of quality. I am proud to show off their work and would recommend Buchanan to anyone.

Buchanan Electric came to our home yesterday to install a stand alone generator. The whole process from setting up the appointment for an estimate to installation was seamless. Jeff and his crew were wonderful to our family. They answered any and all our questions from start to finish. Everything was explained in great detail to us on the operation of our new toy! They had no issues with us having animals and even enjoyed our dogs affection. The crew left zero mess. They were awesome in how professional they were with each other as well. Buchanan Electric made the whole experience a pleasant one. Thank you from The Bottrell's!

Tried to arrange a service call a few weeks ago, was quoted that service at a specific price. My scheduled appointment date was pushed out a week from the original date because they couldn’t get to me in time, okay no worries.

The next scheduled date came and it’s already noon, I call them asking if I would receive service, it did not seem like they had a tech ready to send to me that day despite being told I was scheduled for that day. Despite this they were able to arrange for someone to come out. We verified price again, and were set. A short time later I receive a call letting me know that the price that was quoted is no longer the price and it would be an additional $50-60.

I decided at that point I wasn’t comfortable with the chaotic nature of this service i was receiving and decided to cancel the appointment because of the scheduling issues and them revising the service call cost right as they were sending a technician out.

Buchanan Electric installed my Generac and Jeff along with his team were amazing. When it came to the information and understanding of the device up to the date of installation of the device his team was absolutely amazing. I talked to a few electricians before I made a decision of what direction to take and I am so happy I went with Buchanan Electric hands down . I appreciate companies that are knowledgeable of their products, have exemplary customer service, and high quality of work and they hit them all out the park. Thank you to the whole Buchanan Electric Team. Bravo!!

It's been a year since Jeff and his crew installed our whole house generator. Our decision to buy one was based on the fact that we lost power on the regular for the 30 years we've lived here. As we suspected, now that we have the generator we have lost power exactly once for about 2 hours. That said, it was fantastic to hear it kick in without missing a beat. The crew was wonderful, they took great care to work around our garden and left our yard neat. Our calls were answered promptly and we were shown how to use and troubleshoot the unit before the crew left. Thank you!

I worked with Vinny on my initial home generator consultation. He was honest, thorough, and didn’t try to oversell me on something I didn’t need. I highly recommend him.

Buchanan’s installation crew also surpassed my expectations when installing a 24kw Generac generator for my home. Each step of the installation process was clearly explained, insured the unit was connected through the mobile app, and the work areas cleaned up once the job was complete. Very happy with my experience from start to finish.
