Constraction reviews in Comstock Park, Michigan

We have recently had our roof done by Sherriff Goslin and we are very happy with the finished work!
Dave was our go to guy and he was very thorough at explaining everything to us right from the start. During the whole process, Dave was quick to respond back when we had any questions. We appreciated how knowledgeable, friendly, and professional Dave was!
The crew treated our place as if it was their own house. They covered up our property, including plants and bushes, so they would not get damaged and then did a great job cleaning up all the shingles and nails when the job was complete.
We would highly recommend using Sheriff Goslin! Definitely a five star company!

We had a great experience working with Sherriff-Goslin for the installation of our new roof. Dave V. was great to work with throughout the entire process, and his assistance with our insurance company was especially helpful. The workers left our property as clean as they found it, and took extra time to make sure they found every last nail. The roof looks great...very satisfied!

My Husband and I felt it was time for our house to get a new rubber roof, thinking the one we had might not have much more life left in it. Dave took time out of his evening to come and do an assessment, and provided us with some great news. Our rubber roof wasn’t in as bad of shape as we thought. His visit was very informative and he provided us with some tips to even extend the life of our roof, along with referring us to another company that specialized in rubber roofs. I would definitely recommend Sherriff-Goslin for their honesty and wonderful customer service. Thanks Dave! And stay cool 😎

I previously left review on how SG wanted to replace half our roof in order to fix a valley. Roof needs replacement 5-10 years. After review, Mark Williams the manager, requested to come out to see what's up. This guy knows Everything about roofs and is a wealth of knowledge. He came back on his day off and not only re-did valley, but patched 5 other valleys as they were starting to wear. No Charge! Really appreciated his desire to make us happy and take care of these issues. We'll definitely consider another SG roof when ready to replace. Thanks Mark!

Dave was very helpful with the insurance company. He sat down with us and went through all the shingle options and told us about every single one to help us make the right choice. The work was done in 2 days and everything was cleaned up before the crew left. Dave came back in a couple days to do a final inspection to make sure that everything was done right and that we were happy with the work. I will tell everybody I know to call your company when they need to have a new roof put on. I want to say thank you to Dave again for stopping by when he saw the damage on the roof and for working with the insurance company like he did.

I called and left a message on Saturday morning not expecting a call back until at least Monday. Saturday afternoon I got a call from Dave and he was able to come right over and check out our roof and help diagnose the issues we were having. He also resealed our vents free of charge! Very happy with his service. He is even helping us with a quote on replacing our roof.

Sherriff-Goslin installed a new roof for my elderly grandparents and they were so amazing! They got it all done in one day! We were especially happy about the professionalism, patience and kindness shown to my grandparents even when they had a lot of questions! They even worked extra late to finish up because there was a storm coming that night and they didn’t want to leave it unfinished!! Will definitely recommend!!

Mark Williams is very honest and professional. I requested a roof inspection after a hail storm, he responded the same day and put my concerns to ease. Rather than trying to sell me something, he informed me that the roof was in great shape and had many years of life left. Friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I would recommend your call Mark anytime you have a roof need!

I chose Sherriff-Goslin to re-roof my home from [3] competing quotes. I felt at-ease with Will Lockerbie. Mr. Lockerbie and/or his manager, Mark Williams were present during the job. The re-roof
was completed in one day and clean-up was outstanding. I'm very happy with my decision to go with Sherriff-Goslin.

I called Sherriff Goslin because of a small roof leaf and Mark was there the following morning to take a look. After giving me 3 different options, Mark recommended the cheapest option and took care of the issue the same day. He even cleaned out the gutters for me so I didn't have to climb on the roof. For practically the price of a meal, I have my leak repaired and my gutters cleaned. Sherriff Goslin was recommended to me as someone to trust and I couldn't be happier with the work, the price, and professionalism. Will absolutely recommend to others.

I recommend Sherriff-Goslin for your roofing needs. Their shingles have a unique design, and hold up well in our Michigan weather. I called Sherriff-Goslin to inspect my 10-year-old house roof. Mr. Williams was very throrough. He recaulked around my chimney and pipes to prevent any unwanted leaks. He gave me an estimate for a new garage roof. The roof was installed in a timely manner. The area was cleaned up afterwards, removing any nails and debris. Mr. Williams even repainted my weathervane. I love the look of my roofs! Sherriff-Goslin is #1 in my book!

What we thought was a simple roofing job was anything but. When hidden structural and venting problems were found, we were shocked. Mark from Sherriff Goslin put our minds at ease. He handed the crisis very professional and found solutions to multiple problems. The work, which was much more extensive than anticipated, was completed in just a few days at a reasonable cost.

Mark and his team did an excellent job replacing our roof. Mark reviewed our options and showed us a few houses that had the type of shingles we were interested in using. He did a great job explaining how much the cost would be, how long the shingles would last, and how the project would be done. The team finished the roof in one hot day. It looks amazing. We absolutely love it. We would recommend Sheriff Goslin to our family and fiends.

We bought our house Oct 2022. We were told by the inspector that our 2 yr old roof wasn't installed properly and to get a roofing specialist out "sooner rather than later". Mark was absolutely awesome! He was so friendly and professional. He came out and looked at the roof. He fixed the shingles that were lifting and fixed the flashing that was bent due to nails being inserted diagonally. My husband and I didn't know what to expect in terms of replacement/repair cost. Mark didn't charge us anything and told us that the roof would last us 20 years. No games and no trying to sell us something that wasn't needed. If you have roofing needs and want honest professional service, please choose Sheriff Goslin Grand Rapids.

We purchased a roof from Sherriff Goslin Grand Rapids in 2010. Today, September 4, 2024, Mark Williams was out because we noticed a possible roof leak water mark on our upstairs ceiling. Mark came out, found the problem (a loose flashing on one of our pop-up roof vents) and repaired it. In looking over the roof, he also found another place that our solar panel people had accidentally cut and repaired that as well. He said, "it's your house but it's our roof". There was no charge. I have never had better service than this.

I feel like I won the lottery by finding Sherriff Goslin and my rep/site manager, Jason Larabee, through Michigan Saves. They were thorough, dependable, and honest. There were no hidden fees or surprises because they answered all of my questions and helped me navigate the decision-making process on a challenging roof. Truly, their customer service is amazing, they go above and beyond, and I heartily recommend them.

Can’t say enough about how helpful and friendly Mark was regarding problem solving for water damage in ceiling. He was very thorough checking roof, vent and even checking internal plumbing pipes. They installed new roof in 2010 so Mark found a couple little corrections he will make. All of his attention to detail with helpful recommendations was very much appreciated and most remarkably there was no charge. They are true to word of guaranteeing work 14 years later!

Had a couple shingles come off on a steep pitched roof. My neighbor recommended Sherriff-Goslin. I gave them a call and Marl arrived, replaced my shingles quick and easy. Mark was super and refused anything for his time. Make sure to give them a call if you have any roofing needs!!!!

Sheriff-Goslin has been tremendous in the terms of customer service and satisfaction. Our representative, Jason was phenomenal at delivering exceptional service.

Jason came to inspect the roof and deemed what necessarily needed repair. Determining fascia, rafter and joist repair in some areas. Additionally needing a total replacement on our low slope roof over the three seasons porch.

A quick opening emerged and we were booked quickly. Once completed the roof and rotted lumber was replaced. Unfortunately the fascia still needed repair. There was fascia covering that needed new lumber to be nailed and set under the drip edge. After contacting Jason about the unfinished job I was promptly contacted and ensured the job would be completed. Within two days Jason had the crew out and job finished.

I cannot express my gratitude to the attention and urgency by Sheriff Goslin Company to rectify the situation. The ability to turn a situation of customer service into a positive experience will forever stay with me. I recommend Sheriff Goslin for their exceptional customer service and attention to detail in a job well done.

I will be sure to use this company in the future and am completely satisfied with this affordable roofing job. 5 star review.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Will and Mark from Sherriff Goslin for installation of my new roof in August 2024. The entire experience was excellent beginning with the quote as Will was thorough and walked me through the process every step of the way.  The roof was removed and replaced in one day with no signs of debris. It was nice having Will and Mark on site managing the project the entire day. They went above and beyond my expectations. I recommend Sherriff Gosling as this was a great experience!

I have nothing but great things to say about Dave at Sherriff Goslin Roofing!! My wife and I found some leaks in our attic so we contacted Sherriff Goslin Roofing and they sent Dave out the next day. He checked out are Roof while we were at work found a missing shingle on the ridge cap and fixed it! He also found some issues with my flashing around our chimney and threw a few tubes of caulk on it for us and we hadn't even met him yet! He came out that night again and met with us to go over what he had found. He showed us some pictures of are issues and was very professional and informative not just selling but explaining in detail the issues and what he can do to help us out! He even came over and threw up a tarp on the backside of our roof a couple days later without us even asking!! just to help us out until we were able to get are roof fixed. It just goes to show they care about the people there helping it's not just about what they can sell! Quality people = honest and quality work! I would definitely recommend Sherriff Goslin Roofing to anyone and will be using them for any of my future roofing needs!!
