4 month old AC did not work as well as when i first got it. Had NHC come out. Results:

Pros:
Only people free to come out same day on a 90° day. Gave clear cost estimates for the service

Cons:
Charged me $90 to look at the problem. Misdiagnosed the unit, saying it was a freon leak (it was just water; freon is pressurized so it wont look like water if it ever leaked out.) then proceeded to assume it would be another 300 to fix.

I got a second opinion for free. The ac unit was fine, it only freezed up. It just needed to be off for 1 day.

I am extremely impressed with the service of the installation. The technicians were clean and worked effectively. As a member of the Lancashire Block Club I recommend Nnational Service Team to work in any customers house. We the Stone family of Lancashire say thank you Aj and Terron for a job well done! 💯💯💯💯💯

I can't say enough good things about my experience with National Heating and Cooling. My wife and I had our AC unit break during a massive heat wave and were scrambling to get it fixed. We called National and they had a tech out within a day. Their tech was extremely professional and helped diagnose our problem. The Freon line was busted so we needed a new AC unit. National gave us many options that would fit within our budget and get what we were looking for.

Ernie and crew arrived a day or two later and installed our brand new unit. During the installation process the crew was clean, professional, and very considerate while my three kids were running around. The new unit has been nothing but a blessing since its install! I would and have recommended National Heating and Cooling to anyone in need!

Update: They have been owning up, and did a decent service recently. So I upped my review to 3 stars. But a relatively new system requiring to be serviced that often still bothers me.

Original review: We had a furnace installed by them 3.5 years ago, got AC added 2 years ago. In both cases we went with the more expensive option they offered. 2 to 3 times a year for the last 3.5 years the system stops working. So far they didn't charge for the service calls at least. But usually they cannot find the issue. Twice when the AC stopped working and equipment was frozen they just told me to turn it off for 24h.

Also when they first installed the furnace and ran the ducts in the basement they didn't bother to insulate any of the ducts. They also put a non GFCI protected receptacle by the furnace in an unfinished basement which caused me trouble with an inspector later on.

Given the price they charge their service is extremely disappointing. I don't understand how anyone here gives them 4 and 5 star reviews.

National Heating & Cooling is my only call with anything HVAC. I manage many properties and they are my #1 call. Owners are great, techs are great, and the staff are all easy to talk to on any questions that I have had. They always work hard to get to jobs that I put them on done timely and the work they do is very professional for a very reasonable price. Great on communication too. Defiantly recommend them to all my friends and family!

Furnace was cycling on and off like every ten minutes; Called national as I had done in the past, told them I need a new thermostat installed. Adam said they will install the thermostat and charge me $90 to have the Furnace inspected, I agreed. Service tech came out and installed the thermostat but the Furnace did not start he looked at a tube put it back and the Furnace came on after he flick the switch on the side.10 days later the Furnace is doing the same thing. National sent a different tech, he changed a glow plug. National over changed me because I was charged for the second visit when the first tech should have found the issue. I would not recommend this company to my enemy. Dishonest business practices. Search for a better company. NO NOT USE NATIONAL, BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. Adam was very rude and condescending when I called to get an understanding of the charges.I have no issue with paying for services I need but if the Furnace was inspected as Adam told me it would be instead of lying about the inspection. The $90 dollars was for the service call. I expect honesty when hiring someone to do a job...just be honest and upfront. Seriously people find a better company RUN. * I was contacted by Fred, not sure what his Title is, but he was very concerned about my issues, he quickly offered to correct it, and he followed through and did what he said he would do correct it. I can appreciate that and will continue to use this company in the future!

The Team of the National heating Crew was very polite and professional I have not had any major problem or concerns with my new installation. I waited to do this review because it was installed in the summer the other concern was minor and they came out quickly and fixed. the issue I would recommend this company they are a awesome team David,,Paul,Ernie,Will,, Adam Thank you

The service was excellent and professional from beginning to end. I spoke to Adam and John on the phone and both were very pleasant and courteous. Matt came out to service my air conditioner and he was very knowledgeable and patient. He explained exactly what he was doing, and even gave some helpful tips to keep my air conditioner running optimally. I will certainly use this company in the future, and will definitely recommend them to family and friends. Keep up the good work, National!

National Heating and Cooling performed General Repair work for me in the past and provided prompt professionalized service. Was very pleased with their work. However, on this particular occasion for this particular property, we opted to replace the 20-year-old furnace. John, the salesperson, assistant us with choosing a furnace. After contract formalities were resolved, the installers were scheduled to install the furnace. They arrived on time and installed the furnace promptly and professionally. The installers were very polite and attentive to our needs of understanding how the new furnace and thermostat worked. We were very pleased with the work. However when the city inspector came out he found one item that needed to be corrected. National came right out and corrected the issue and the city came back out and approved the install. Overall, I give National Heating and their staff five stars!! Very pleased with their work. I have their number saved as a contact in my phone so when we are in need of HVAC services they are on the top of my list to call! I highly recommend National Heating and Cooling. Thank you for the prompt, professionalized, and courteous service!

On one of the coldest days of winter and on recommendation of someone else. I called National Heating. The So called technician came out asked me where my furnace was when I had explained the problem before. Look for five minutes swore it was the electricity and left. Had a electrician come out and that wasn't the problem. It was the furnace the whole time. It's clear he came out made $90.00 dollars to do nothing. I had to contact another Heating and cooling company and now my heat is on. This was BS to take my money and not handle the problem. Thanks for nothing.

By a lucky break as I was frantically scrolling to have my furnace fixed on the coldest day of the year a pleasant voice answered the call. I explained my problem to Fred. He said a tech would come that day between 2 -6. At 2:00 their tech Ricardo was at the door. Bottom line my furnace is working great. He placed the motor and one other part. The price was extremely fair, service was fantastic. I can't say enough good things about this company. I'd like to give 10 stars. You CAN'T go wrong with National .

National Heating and Cooling replaced our air conditioner and did an incredible job. They came out quickly, reviewed our options, and found a unit and price that would work for us. The installers were quick and very pleasant. I highly recommend this business for efficient heating and cooling services. I cannot say enough about this company.

I had no idea I could be this impressed with an HVAC company. My steam system had some issues, and then my boiler died. National looked great online, so I contacted them along with a couple other local companies, to compare pricing. These guys were SO responsive, professional, and friendly. One company made a vague quote over the phone & said it would be up to a week to order the boiler. Another company came out & gave a quick rough estimate, then sent me a quote (as promised) which was higher. National was actually the least expensive by over $1,000, and they came out & measured every radiator to make sure they had the right size boiler (something the other companies didn't do). They were able to schedule the work right away, & got it done quickly. When there was a further issue with some radiators, they again were super responsive & came out again & made adjustments, replacing several vents, all at no additional cost. I really got the sense that they take pride in their work.

You can count on their estimate and on their customer care. My heat's working better than I thought it could in this drafty old house! I'm glad I found these guys.

This is the first time I post review because I must do this for National H&C inc. Matt and Earnie are great persons and very professional! They did great jobs with reasonable price. Two years labor warranty comes with their jobs and 10 years parts warranty from the manufacturer. I highly recommend National H&C inc if you have troubles with your AC.

We called them on 8/3/20 they opened the sewer line but by Saturday it backup again we haven't heard from them and they haven't come back do not use their service!

Called these people in hopes to find a detroit based commercial hvac contrcator.Spoke with Tony Moore of Moore brothers. He asked me to send him my blue prints via email and i did.He replyed saying he did received. One week later still no response. So i decide to call back and asked if that could follow up with me.
Still no reponse two weeks later. Dont waste your time!!!!!!!!!!
