Matthew came as a recomendation from an old high school friend of mine. His prices came in at almost half of another quote so I pulled the trigger and hired Bs Trees. The work and speed of service were top notch the pricing was the cherry on top. Matthew is competitive and does a great job.

We’ve had two trees completely removed and a huge limb of a giant oak removed as well. The service was excellent and quick. They did a great job on cleanup as well. Highly recommended!

I signed up with potter lawn & landscape for snow removal, not only were they quick to plow my driveway during the storms, they made sure to clean out the end of my driveway every time after the city plow buried me in during the storms, the last 2 companies I used did not provide this service with their snow removal. Best service around, highly recommend!

If you are looking for a company that is incredibly friendly and professional this is 💯 the company to work with. In previous years another company would do the fall clean up but they would leave the acorns (we have a ton of huge trees) so they became almost woven into the grass and it was like walking on rocks. Well Potter and Potter has been caring for the trees in this yard for years and they came and saw the "cleanup" that was done and performed a second one. When I tell you they got every single leaf, acorn and stick out of this yard I was SHOCKED. Because they did such an incredible job they were hired to come back to clean up the side patio (it was a disaster) and mulched all the back trees (there are A LOT); and the work they did felt like being on one of those home remodeling shows with the grand reveal. It was exciting and exactly what we wanted. They are fast with communication, always kind and their crew is unmatched. 10/10 recommend.

Would NEVER use. Will not use companies who repeatedly (and illegally) put flyers on mailboxes. First, it is a crime to put things on, in, or hang from a mailbox that didn't come from or through the post office. Postal inspectors even ask customers to report individuals who go from mailbox to mailbox. This could incur fines or even a federal investigation and charges. Secondly, this company folded their flyer and wedged it between our mailbox flag and the box, breaking the mailbox flag. And thirdly, these flyers just fall out eventually and blow around, just littering neighborhoods. Seriously, get bent.

I was in the parking lot of D&W at 8:45 taking my dog out of my truck for a grooming appointment. Their truck came past and pelted large salt rocks at us at a high velocity - hitting my vehicle, me and my small dog. After I went into the groomer's business, the truck came past again and literally pelted her glass windows. This is unacceptable.

First winter with Oomkes snow plowing and they have been awesome to work with. Very proactive with plowing, starting early and coming back late, ensuring that my driveway is always perfect and clear. They also have a great ability to clear the snow without leaving piles of snow and ice. I would give them the highest recommendation possible.

We have executive homes that we lease. Oomkis had been taking care of the grounds for about five years. They also take care of my personal home in Ada. Their team of trained service people are great. They take pride in their work, and always show up on time as scheduled. I appreciate that when we need extra attention in an area they handle it, and always leave us happy with the job. We've had Oomkes re landscape a home and they made it look truly awesome and modern.

Had lawn installed 4 years ago in a new residential neighborhood. Waited to post feedback until my lawn came in more since it was not going well. Unfortunately, my lawn does not look anything like any other homes in my new development. Oomkes quotes were twice as high as several other local companies. We worked with them to scale back some landscaping beds to bring down cost. Part of the scale back was top soil in backyard, which at the time was not even a large cost reducer. Oomkes assured me that the backyard did not need it and the backfill that was in there was perfect. I even questioned before seed was sprayed that I didn't want it to result in a poor backyard. After 1 season, the backyard did not fill in to look like any of the neighbors. Oomkes came out and over seeded and aerated the same fall. Told me to wait a few seasons to let it come in more and the reason was likely due to not adding top soil due to wanting to reduce cost. This part was very frustrating. I decided to stay with them for fertilizing so they could work the lawn. Well, its been 4 years and the yard looks no different. Decided to move away from Oomkes on fertilizing. Quite honestly, the backyard needs completely re-done. I would not reccommend Oomkes for grass care. There are other local landscapers that are much lower cost and the results are much more satisfying. I was pleased with the people that worked at Oomkes, but the results of my actual lawn are driving this review.

We switched to Oomkes Landscape this year for the care of our lawn. Our lawn has never looked so good! We have a corner lot in the city and I enjoy making it beautiful. Hiring Oomkes has stepped it up a notch. We have a lot of sidewalk and the edge looks amazing. They have also done a great job mowing. I love seeing the checkerboard pattern in my front yard!

Weekly they cut the lawn at my work and weekly our cars get pelted with clippings. The grass looks great but the cars are always covered in grass and I am just waiting for the day that something happens to either one of the employees cars or someone else.
Just witnessed all of the parking lot dirt and all clippings being blown at full speed at a full row of cars to "clean" them up.

Matt and the team are super professional, kind and hard working. They did a great job removing and pruning the mature oak trees in my subdivision back yard. They easily navigated tight spaces, fences, and homes. I highly recommend them for the quality of work, price and professionalism.

I had a declining maple on my property line in a really tough spot. MV Tree gave me a clear game plan before they arrived and they delivered on it beautifully from start to finish. The weather was changing so the crew used extra care to put down plywood and mats to protect mine and my neighbors yards. They showed up on time, worked efficiently and respectfully, cleaned up amazing and I could not be happier! Price was not my motivating factor because I needed it done right, but it was competitive and very fair! Highly recommend!

Really happy with Mv Tree staff Gussy who always kept me informed on when the work would be done and was on top regarding rescheduling several times due to bad weather. And then there is Matt the owner who was wonderful to work with. Very professional, explained everything and was very patient. Matt and crew did a great job trimming trees back from house and garage rooftops in my urban yard. They also cleaned up other trees and large shrubs that needed attention. They were on time and efficient, easy to communicate with, cleaned up after the work, and the price was very reasonable. I’ll definitely call them for my next job and recommend that you do too!

Matt and his crew were out yesterday to remove two large (annoying) cottonwoods that were in close proximity to our detached garage and our neighbors new fence by crane. They were methodical and precise in the removal and cleaned up the mess and debris before they were done. It was amazing to watch them. We’ve had other tree removal services, but they wouldn’t touch these because they didn’t have access to a crane. A little perk to the services, Matt is an arborist and was able to answer some of our questions regarding the health of other trees on our property.

Matt responded to my Grand Rapids Informed Facebook plea for assistance about a neighborhood cat stuck high in a tree. He rescued her free of charge on a Saturday. This is the kind of person I would want to give my business to for sure.

We are grateful for MV Tree Service! They did extensive trimming of large and small trees on our property. The prices were reasonable; the service was knowledgeable, efficient, and generous---they cut down a few small trees gratis! The cleanup was perfect. And they were able to recommend an arborist to help with trees that needed intervention. We highly recommend MV Tree!

After extensive interviews, I recently chose MV Tree in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to perform major tree trimming on my 5-acre property.  I could not have been more satisfied!

As a construction professional, I look for six key indicators of a Quality Tree Service:  1) verified insurance and licensing; 2) certified professionals; 3) a solid reputation with previous clients and customers; 4) workers who exhibit professionalism and safety; 5) a detailed written estimate of what is to be performed with the exact cost; and 6) solid references.

MV Tree hits all these key indicators like no other.

The owner, Matt Velderman, met with me to ascertain what I wanted done and made some knowledgeable recommendations on items I had not thought of.  He is an authentic, sincere owner/operator who takes great pride in his service and the people he hires.  He personally supervised the entire two-day project with employees who exhibited professionalism and safety handling chain saws, woodchippers and bobcat excavators.  They left my property clean, neat, and undamaged, looking better, in fact, than when they arrived.

Be very careful when contracting for tree service.  Many fly-by-night operators with a rusty pickup truck and a chainsaw will quote either a price outrageously high or unrealistically low.  You will most assuredly not be happy with either of these types of businesses.

However, Matt’s bid hit squarely in the Goldilocks zone:  not too high and not too low but just right for a job well done.  I recommend MV Tree without reservation.
