Talk about a very professional company and a group of guys. They showed up and got right to work and when they were finished the clean up was spot on! Awesome company highly recommend them for tree trimmimg & removal service. Thank you.

Ryan and his guy’s at Horton’s Tree Service were outstanding to work with and their price was very fair. They cut down 7 trees for me and pruned a few others. You would not be disappointed working with these guys.

I called several tree services to have a tree removed, but Hortons’s was the most affordable. I commend them for doing the job because several others told me they do not service Detroit. They followed up, came on time, cleaned up, and did not trample my flowers 🙂

Excellent job, excellent cleanup, excellent price. A little wait because they're worth it. Update 3 years later: Unfortunately, the tree I had removed is growing back after I had them grind the stump. I’m actually happy, but it was supposed to be GONE! Completely

THEY WERE AMAZING! I was so impressed with their appearance and first impression. The only company around that left a brochure! I went to cancel my appt. bc I found a cheaper price, and your assistant saved this job! She was attentive, professional, friendly, and efficient. She asked me how much and ensured me I would hear back from her. True to her word, they matched, and arrived on time with a solid crew.

The job was tough and dangerous. They MANDATED I receive the approval from my neighbors, (which I really appreciated) and ALL of us were impressed. The job was efficient, and quick! I would recommend them in a heartbeat! It was not a bad view either, just sayin!

I don’t take pleasure in writing a bad review especially since I’ve used this company before and was satisfied. I received an estimate from Horton on 09/19/19 for removal of a large Yew. The representative yellow tagged the shrub and never returned to do the job. I wasn’t that upset when I called the rep this spring because I had changed my mind about removal. He apologized and promised he would call before he arrived on a designated day to discuss my new plan for the shrub and once again no call or follow up? Price was always a concern for me and that’s why I called Horton. I always found them affordable but I can only suppose they weren’t interested in doing business with me?
Perhaps my mistake was not calling Horton directly instead of relying on the representative?

We have used Hortons on many jobs. Always, always do an outstanding job.
I read through some reviews and I have to wonder the timing of no return calls. Most like after a storm.
They are worth waiting for in my opinion.
Each job is done to perfection. Definitely will always recommend them.

They finally trimmed the trees. After many phone calls they were attentive and performed the work as requested. The work was done well. I will advise caution though. If you want to have trees trimmed prepare to wait while they perform higher paying work (storm work, emergency work).

Horton's came to my house in the early spring 21' and provided a quote. the quote was discounted via a 25% off coupon. The price was agreed upon but a date was never given due to weather. I was fine with that.

Then a month delay. Then another month delay. Each month I would call to ask for a schedule and they kept saying that due to storm damage I kept getting push back.

I was basically being pushed back because more money could be made on emergency storm tree removals than just a simple tree/yard clean up. The receptionist also sounded put off and annoyed with me calling for updates. They are no longer responding to my phone calls.

Overall. Hortons has been very unprofessional. They made me feel like I was the one at fault for asking about status of my "unscheduled" work. As of Aug 3, 2021. There has been no communication that originated rom them to tell me when the work will take place. Pretty sure it'll never happen. Dealing with them has a similar to dealing with Spectrum or Comcast. AWFUL!

Horton's Tree Service are true professionals. They were super responsive and on-time. They cleared multiple huge oaks that had fallen from storm damage, working with a crane, lifts, all sorts of heavy equipment to haul away debris, in between multiple buildings/structures, and without incident. The guys worked methodically and efficiently through it all - and cleaned up every last bit of debris right down to the leaf blowing. We wholeheartedly recommend them! Save yourself the hassle trying other tree companies out and go with Horton's from the start like we did.

I highly recommend Horton's. A crew of six came out to trim our trees. They were really good. The trimming itself was awesome, and I really appreciated their attention to detailed cleanup. Communication and courtesy was excellent. All team members made eye contact, and showed pride in their work. This team went above and beyond. Thank you, Horton's! We will call you again.

Horton Tree Service removed a 50 foot pine from the front of our house in about 35 minutes! Start to finish! They left the yard cleaner than they found it (I am embarrassed to say)! They had 7 people on point working as a team quickly and safely. I recommend Horton Tree Service for sure. You probably won’t find a better price and I don’t think you will find better service.

We have had Horton's come out and cut down several trees in our yard. They are always extremely professional and go above and beyond what is asked of them. Called them and asked for an estimate and was told it would be a few weeks until they could come out and chop the trees down. Reached back out to the company and told them we needed it done quicker, and they were able to come out the next day! Super impressed with the quality of work and will definitely hire them again in the future if we need more trees chopped.

I telephoned Horton's on Wednesday at 5 pm to remove a large branch that had fallen during a recent storm. By noon on Friday, the branch, along with all the debris was gone. This company always provides fast, efficient service at a reasonable cost. We have used their service multiple times and highly recommend them.

We needed a tree down very quickly for a city inspection and no one could get out to us sooner than 3-5 weeks out. Horton was referred to us by another company, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! They were able to give me a reasonable estimate and worked within our schedule to come out fast to get the job done! Not only did they get everything done that we asked, they also removed some additional branches and brush that we had in the yard, they far surpassed our expectations! I highly recommend giving them a call!

I got quotes from several companies all were 4 to 5 weeks out and could not beat Horton’s Tree Service prices. I had a large number of mature trees that needed to be removed it was a big job. They started when they said they would. They finished when they said they would. They did not even let the rain stop them. Ryan as well as all of his workers were extremely professional. They clean up well. I would definitely use them again and have already referred them.

All I can say is EXCELLENT service! They removed part of tree that had fallen onto my neighbors property. They were courteous, professional, affordable, and had great communication. I need to remove the trees from my yard, eventually, and will be considering Horton's Tree Service for the job. They did the job within a 24 hour window. I highly recommend them. I called several people to get estimates days prior without return calls or communications. We had many recent storms, so I understood that companies were busy, but no one was even calling back. I called Hortons and received feedback regarding my issue and insurance claim within the same day. I then received a text message with the written estimate within 48 hours, and was happy with the price (insurance was not covering entire debris removal). Horton's did let me know it would be a week, however, showed up 3 days early, quickly removed all debris, including debris I had placed in my yard waste, and made sure the yard was clean. I recommend them for their quality, communication, and pricing.

These guys are excellent and they work their butts off to assure you are truly satisfied! Definitely recommend them!

Can’t say enough good things about this company. Pricing is better than anyone around. They show up with a crew of 20 guys, knock out 4 trees simultaneously and leave the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. Very efficient, highly recommend. Amazing service!
