In trimming trees I recommend Camelot without any reservation. Were timely, did good work, and explained things in a helpful manner.

In lawn care, Camelot has responded to my concerns and questions with a special visit, an extra treatment for my Creeping Charley, and all with patience and helpful answers.

We paid $700 for elm tree injection service in March 2021. They said the service would be performed in the spring. It's nearing the end of July. They keep telling us they will call to schedule the service and keep pushing the service date back without scheduling a date for the service. Tired of getting the run around, we are asking for our money back and they cannot give us the contact information for someone to speak with. It appears we've been scammed out of $700.

Camelot Tree & Shrub literally saved my home in the severe storm this month. They did tree trimming in the past and recommended placing stabilizing cables in a huge maple. The wind did dangerous damage to the tree. I called them and they were here WITHIN AN HOUR. They scheduled and completed the work immediately. But for those cables and their response after the storm, the house would have sustained massive damage. I can never thank you enough.

Called to have a tree looked at for safety purposes, Jason showed up and discussed the tree and his knowledge is impeccable!
We were VERY impressed with his manners and kindness to us and the tree !
If you need any questions answered call Camelot

The salesman was very courteous and knowledgeable. The crew was very friendly and polite. What surprised me the most was the attention to detail of the cleanup afterwards. I would highly recommend Camelot Tree & Shrub to all of my family and friends.

Made an appointment for an estimate to have some trees trimmed. Also, had two other neighbors that wanted an estimate as well. I called, confirmed my appointment, left work early and they were a no call no show. I called, 10 minutes ago, asked why they didn’t call or show up, and the receptionist said “there must have been a problem with our system”. How is that possible when I called yesterday to confirm my appointment?

Amazing job. RELIABLE! These guys were great to work with, came in and did a great job at my business. From the appointment for an estimate, to the very end, good crew of people. Which is hard to find these days. Highly recommend.

    Dear Clint,
Just a note to let you and your crew know how much we appreciate the great people that you have working for you. So many times it seems that people are quick to criticize, but slow to praise. First of all, we appreciate the friendly, efficient office staff, then the timely manner in which Todd has come out to assess our tree and shrub needs, zeroing in on the issues and carefully documenting our agreed upon concerns. Having Dillon, Ryan and James prune and shape on May 29th, then Dillon, Jack and Jeremiah remove dead wood from our large backyard maple on June 10th, we found them all to be friendly, attentive, skilled, respectful of our property, efficient, and tidy. They are a wonderful crew of young men whom we would welcome back should the need arise. We are, and always have been, very satisfied customers and wanted to pass along our praise to you and your staff.
    Sincerely, Steve and Maureen Christian

Arrived on time and went straight to work. The crew did a very nice job of elevating my tree. They took great care in placing their equipment as to not disturb the garden beds. Very neat cleanup. I would use Camelot again.

We have used Camelot whenever we have moved and needed landscape/tree service. We had very tall Arborvitae surrounding our yard, and they were starting to get close to the power lines. At least 2 other companies refused to trim them because of their proximity to the lines. Camelot came out, looked at them and without hesitation trimmed them back to a manageable height. This is the kind of service that is lacking in today's world. They have always made intelligent suggestions on trimming/removing and then followed up with superior work. I will always use them when needed.

I received a quote and was told that the job would be done in four weeks. Surprisingly, today they showed up two weeks early. They dug up 6 bushes, ground the stumps, filled in the holes, ground up the branches and cleaned up the yard in about one hour. They did a great job and I would recommend them to others.

I had requested a quote to remove some dead trees along my driveway. My call was received and processed, their office was professional and was up front that their scheduling was about 9 weeks out. Not a problem. I even received a quote within a week with a well defined itemization of the suggested work. However, the price was about 2x every other well respected business within the area. My impression is that quoting that high was intentional to have me not consider their service. I would have preferred to just be told they were to busy to take on more work. Disappointing.

I have a Scotch pine tree at my parent's house that I planted in first grade. It's one of those trees
kids used to get at school on Arbor Day or something. Anyway, that was almost thirty years ago, and I have always loved watching it grow. Last year, it wasn't looking so good, so I called Camelot to see if they could save it before it got worse, as I felt really responsible for it. They came out quickly and recommended I treat it for borers (I think that's what they are called?) and also trim a maple tree, which was blocking a lot of sunlight. The guys who came out were super nice and very knowledgeable, and even gave my Dad some advice on other trees he has growing on the property. Now that it's spring again, the maple looks great, and my pine tree has more new growth than I've seen in years. Since then, my brother has also had them do some work at his house. I'd definitely recommend this company. They know what they are doing, and they do it well. It is worth the price. If I ever have my own house, I will call them for all my tree needs!

UPDATE: I was contacted by the owner of the company and I feel he was sincere in his concerns about my issues. He came to spray the final spray of our tree and he knocked on the door to talk to me. He didn't have to do that. He explained the issue was the same as everyone -- being short employees. They also came out last week and finished the pruning job to my complete satisfaction. I want to stress that they do great pruning work and are very nice and clean workers that come out. I will call them again and use them again despite this little hiccup.

Initially I would give this company five stars. However, I don't know what is going on with them as of late. In March of 2023, I signed up for three crabtree spray applications as well as some other small trimming in our yard. The first application was applied and then they never came back despite when sold this treatment process they indicated they do it stages of the leaves opening up. They only came back a second time because I called to ask what was going on? By that time the leaves were wide open and the tree already started to show signs of the same spots from years prior. The treatments were useless. They came unannounced for the other yard work despite me asking them for a call ahead 24 hours. They left and said they would come back. They have not returned since despite having my 50% deposit. When you call them they are polite and nice, but full of excuses that contradict each other. Again, initially I thought they were great, but not so much now.

We are a 2nd time customer with Camelot. The first time we used them for storm damage to a tree hanging over the power lines in our back yard. They did the job within 3 days as it was an urgent matter and we paid the up charge for storm response support. No problems there and the experience was strong enough that we decided to use them again last week to trim our Japanese Maple while it was still in dormancy. I’ll start with the pros of that visit- the job was done within 2 weeks of scheduling. That is the only pro. Now for the cons:

Ahead of the job date it was requested the trees health be documented and provided to us. The office staff I spoke to when requesting this was Stephanie. I was advised by Stephanie that she would relay this to the crew lead and it shouldn’t be a problem. This never occurred during or after the job completed.

Next were the cuts on our Japanese maple. The cuts were inspected by an ISA Certified arborist look at the cuts in our tree and verified there were improper pruning cuts and many ripped which was disheartening for such a beautiful tree.

Lastly, and the most concerning of the entire experience was arriving home from work the day of the job to see a big pruning blade on our dumpster (it was garbage day) at the end of our driveway in the street where anyone including the countless school kids that walk by our house having both a middle and high school school around the block. Had that blade got in the wrong hands someone could have been seriously injuries. So I called back up to Camelot and talk to Stephanie again who said she’d let the manager know and that the manager would follow up with me to discuss how they would handle this and to schedule time to pick up the blade. She also suggested I just leave this giant blade in our front yard for anyone to grab which I wouldn’t do. I expressed this was a safety concern. That was Thursday I never heard back from anyone until 4 days later when not the manager but some random guy from the tree crew (Jacob I believe is his name) just showed up at our door unexpectedly and unscheduled to ask for his tree blade back. He showed no concern over the fact that he carelessly left someone thing that can be used as a weapon in the open in our yard, and was more so concerned with getting it back because he didn’t have the money to buy a new one. It was wildly inappropriate to show up at our house like that at all, especially after negligence on the employees part and the mediocracy of the job completed . Furthermore it’s no homeowners responsibility to keep tabs on your crews work tools either. A manager should have handled this matter. Would not recommend this company.

Extremely Poor Communication and Unreliable Service
I had a terrible experience with Camelot Tree & Shrub Co. and would not recommend them.
Todd came to my home in late June to assess our Bloodgood Japanese Maple and recommended a "summer compost tea root enhancer application." We agreed and confirmed the quote a week later.
That's when all communication from Camelot completely stopped.
From early July until September, I heard nothing from them. I repeatedly called their office to get a date for the service but was met with a series of excuses: "the scheduler just left," "the scheduler is on vacation," or "the boss who schedules is out for personal reasons." I was left wondering if the job would ever get done.
When they finally came to perform the work the week of September 7th, there was no advance notice, and we were away from our home. The only evidence they had been here was a company sign posted on our lawn. Aside from the sign, I have no way to prove the work was actually performed.
This complete lack of communication, unprofessionalism, and follow-through is unacceptable. If you're looking for a company that respects your time and keeps you informed, look elsewhere.

Cody and Justin did an amazing job trimming my Elm tree in my backyard. They were diligent, professional, thorough, and skilled. They did an excellent job ensuring all the deadwood was removed and took off the limb extending over my roof that I had requested be removed. They cleaned the job site thoroughly and took the necessary time needed to ensure all was completed. Thank you, too, to Jason for coming by to talk with me beforehand and provide several quotes for the work.

Michael Brown is the owner. Super nice guy with professional approach and excellent pricing that beats the big names in the tree business.
    I highly recommend him.

Mike and his crew were very professional. They arrive on time, removed the tree and cleaned up. Pricing is very competitive and the quality of work is outstanding. I would definitely use them again and recommend Brown Bear Tree Service. A very satisfied customer.
