Justin is very passionate and knowledgeable at what he does. I had some lawn leveling, irrigation, and hydro seeding done this past spring. Grass grew in quickly and as expected and I am very pleased with the performance of the irrigation system. Especially with how dry our summer was this year. Highly recommend Best Outdoor Services!

Brandon and his team did a fantastic job with our patio and firepit. They took an idea and ran with it and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Their crew was professional and thorough and took care of everything- from moving an irrigation valve, valve box and irrigation lines, to adding some extra special touches to the edges, to reseeding the areas where their equipment altered the grass. It looks amazing and I can't wait to furnish the spaces and use them. I highly recommend Best Outdoor Services for outdoor landscaping projects.

Brandon and the crew at Best Outdoor Services did a great job on our project. We needed a new foundation for our above ground pool that sits on a bit of a slope. The end result is better than what I was imagining. Looks great and perfectly level. A great group of hard working, polite, and professional guys that care about the quality of their work and attention to detail. If you're looking for help on an outdoor project ... you should give them a call.

The weather was terrible this spring. But when the weather became nicer, Justin and his crew were there today to repair some damage on the lawn. Black dirt and hydro seeding did the trick! Highly recommended this company.

These guys suck. If I could give them zero stars on this review, I would. We were finally getting our grass to look good until these clowns came out and did the first mow and weed spray of the year. My yard looks 10x worse now; they blow through the yards like they're racing the Indy 500, leaving track marks in the grass and weed whip where there's not even weeds. They've destroyed my landscaping lights due to this (you'll see in my pictures that I have two sets of these lights, the smaller set is supposed to be as long as the other pictured, but they chopped right through it with a weed whip and took zero responsibility) and my email to rectify this accident went unanswered. I honestly wish I had another choice in company, but it's who the HOA has contracted, so pretty much just gotta deal until we get out of the HOA. I don't know how they call themselves Best Outdoor Services when they're not even actually taking care of the yards here. They don't even care that they're basically turning everyone's yards into dirt yards.

I'm leaving this review after years of bad experiences with Best Outdoor Services. Unfortunately I live in a townhome where I do not have a choice in who does our lawn maintenance, so I can't fire them. My most recent experience is what is leading to me finally posting this negative review. They damaged multiple items on my property (again) and didn't say anything. I had to find it on my own, seeing it on my doorbell security camera. When I've call them to report the damage, they tell me that I have to take it up with my homeowners association, so I have reported it to them. They have previously damaged my AC unit and other personal items on my property as well.
They have also done countless damage to our townhome association, including damaging light posts, tearing up chunks of grass, destroying sprinklers, etc. They also blow rocks from around the perimeter of the houses all over the driveways and grass leaving it for us homeowners to pick up. Most of the time they leave the property looking worse than when they arrived, minus the grass being shorter.
Their staff is also incredibly unprofessional and wreckless, kicking things "back into place" that they knocked over or blew away with their leaf blowers. There will be large branches blown into the yard from a storm, or garbage blown in from the street and they just mow right over it sending chunks everywhere, leaving an absolute mess. I'm not saying it's their responsibility to pick up garbage all over the yards, but when you see a big piece of garbage and just mow right over it, that is really poor work ethic and a bad reflection on our company.
It is appalling to me that a "professional business" has employees that work like this, and would do damage and not own up to it. I wouldn't be nearly as upset if they just came to me and said "I'm sorry, we accidentally broke this", and if it didn't keep happening. It's the complete lack of care, and the repetitive behavior that leaves me angry. Especially when I try calling them to ask about it and they pawn it off in my association instead of taking ownership of what they have done. Anyone considering hiring them just be prepared for reckless work and no accountability.

Today at around 4:30ish p.m. September 2nd 2025 at Viridian Apartments (9436 Ulysses St NE) in Blaine Minnesota off Central Ave where I live with my wife, special needs disabled child, and dog I had a very concerning experience with this landscaping crew while they were working at my building.

While waiting in my car for the garage door to open, a worker operating a Caterpillar skid steer began reversing toward my vehicle. Out of caution, I honked my horn briefly to make sure he was aware of my car. The operator stopped, but several of his coworkers immediately began shouting profanities at me, insisting I should not have honked.

At no point did I yell, swear, or engage them verbally, yet they continued acting aggressively and even walked toward the garage door in a way that felt threatening and intimidating. Later, false claims were made that I had been “yelling and screaming” at the workers — something both security footage and their own admission to management confirmed was untrue.

The only thing I did in response was make a hand gesture after being cursed at. Regardless, the lack of professionalism, hostile behavior, and false reporting by this crew were completely unacceptable.

I strongly recommend caution if you are considering working with this company. Professionalism, respect, and honesty should be the standard — unfortunately, my experience showed the opposite.

It’s been great to work with The Best Outdoor Services. They took out our large in ground pool, leveled my backyard, installed irrigation, and built a retaining wall on the side of my garage where I can park a boat. The yard and wall look fantastic. Blake was awesome to work with every step of the way. I used AI to help me find a highly rated and cost efficient company for my work. I talked with 3 and selected them. I’m happy with the results.

This wasn't the 1st time Dercon worked on our home so when we had storm damage I knew who to call. The whole team is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with, especially Derek! I would trust Dercon for any home project!

Dercon is a class act company that focus only on the customers needs. Dean and his crew are hands down the best I have ever did business with. They are highly skilled,efficient and very professional handiling all situations and completing the project in a timely manner. If you are looking for a quality company look no further, Dercon is the one.

Dercon's team did a great job on our roof replacement. They were professional, cleaned up after and very responsive to our calls with lots of follow up. Highly recommend.

We had our living room floors tile with wood looking planks over a radiant heated floor. The Dercon tiler needs to contend with different t height transitions to two different rooms and I did not want transition strips. It was done beautifully. Another problem with the room previous to the tile job, was the floor moved a little when walked upon. It rattle the glass shelves on the shelving unit. It was fixed with the tile job by first applying this new plastic interlocking mat system that restricts floor movement. The tile work was done quickly and beautifully. I would work with Dercon Construction again.

Dercon helped us get our homes storm damage repaired and did a great job of communicating with us throughout the process. They also got the job done on time without any issues left for us to deal with. We would use them again for other projects in the future.

Dercon did the build out for my pet grooming salon and we couldn't be happier! Everyone was friendly, efficient, and if they didn't have the answers, they found them in a timely manner. I can't recommend them enough! We plan on using them for home renovation in the future

With the challenges of a small kitchen remodel, Dercon Construction saw its potential. I appreciated the clear communication, and updates, for this project. Conner's advice, and the individual skills of each team member, resulted in a more functional, and beautiful kitchen. It even motivated me to learn how to cook.

Dercon replaced several of our windows. It was a good experience. Their workers are professional and customer friendly. Because one of our windows was too old and water seeped into the wall below the window. They fixed the issue with reasonable additional charges. Will definitely use them again for future projects.

We really like these guys. We have done two significant interior remodeling projects through Dercon. Bruce S is a great sales manager. He is open, honest, explains the project well, and follows through on his promises. Their project manager, Stefan T, does a great job coordinating the crews and meeting expectations. They have demonstrated a genuine concern for quality, dust control (allergy concerns here), and final touches and cleanup. We have had five different crews engaged including construction, tiling (beautiful work!), electrical, plumbing and drywall/painting. All their guys have been friendly, hard working, conscientious and have delivered high quality results. Both projects were delivered on time and under-budget.
We could not be happier and will definitely use them again.

We used Dercon Construction for a full kitchen remodel while we lived out of state for work. Overall the company was easy to work with and they did a good job. Their communication was good and they kept to the schedule.

Bathroom remodel to install roll in shower and wheelchair accessible vanity / sink. Excellent team work with design, material selection, including using ADA standards. Excellent communication and project management to stay on schedule. Very happy with process and results. This is a second bathroom remodel for us. We will definitely use Dercon for future projects.

Dercon was responsive, open to working with us (my husband did some of the woodwork), and the subs were on-time and did fabulous work. We're very happy with our two bathroom projects and would work with Dercon again in the future.

I contacted Dercon because of a leak in my two year old roof. They initially suggested taking the issue to our builder to have them fix the leak. Unfortunately our official one year warranty period has passed so I requested that they come out and take a look anyway. This was a perfect way to start with Dercon. They weren't looking to do work for me when it was possible that I could save money by going to the builder. Impressive!

Douglas came out to my home and identified a long list of issues with my roof. He took pictures, explained the issues, and wrote up a report of the which I could take back to my builder. The office staff were also friendly.

I have added a contact record on my phone for Dercon so I am ready when I need construction services in the future.
