We had landscaping done by them and they have been very unresponsive since. Difficult to get our sales rep to help us. We feel they treat us like they are doing us a 'FAVOR' by providing any service. I know landscapers are busy these days but this is not good customer service.

Prices are on the high side and beware buying trees from them. I purchased two tree's from them (Celebration Maple $500.00 and Pin Oak $225.00)in 2018. The maple was large, in a 25 gallon plastic pot. When I got it home, it was completely "root bound". Tree was way too large to be in this pot. I did my best to untangle the balled roots all wrapped tightly together, as advised by their tree expert. I should've returned the tree as I knew it would be nothing but trouble. Sure enough, just under a year later woke up to see tree leaning severly with the root ball exposed. Not a single root had grown outward to stabilize the tree as it grew taller. All the roots were still tightly wound, growing in a circle. Went back to the nursery as I paid full price, not using the coupons that would've saved me 15% as you lose their "1 year guarantee" if you use ANY discounts. I wanted the guarantee spending over $700.00 on these two tree's, so I paid full price. Big mistake as their guarantee is useless as I was told "the tree fell because of the wind and that's not covered". The tree fell because the roots were "root bound" and would never, ever, support itself. So I'm out $500.00 for the tree and off to a new nursery to buy a B & B tree vs potted tree. I'm not wasting any more time on this tree or this nursery. I'd recommend NEVER buying anything from The Mustard Seed. They won't stand behind their tree's and shouldn't be selling garbage, root bound, tree's, especially at these prices. I'd have been better off spending $79.00 at Lowe's or Home Depot. Don't buy trees from them. Check out the pictures if you doubt me.

Received a gift card a few years ago, which clearly states on the back of the card that it does not expire, however the computer systems were upgraded and the manager was not able to retrieve any funds from the gift card despite never being used. Very poor service.

I was shopping for a new tree. We lost our tree during the winter. I had many questions and the staff answered them without hesitation. I had to put the tree on hold and after a couple of weeks went back to get it. More question more answers. The team at Mustard Sred are great. I would highly recommend them. BTW, I also got a beautiful tree.

1st time stopping...went for the children's event. She had fun (glad I had quarters to get chicken feed for the rooster!). Everyone was extremely kind. I'll be back when we start the garden next month!

Stopped by the Mustard Seed last week and had a blast! Brooke was really enthusiastic and showed me around. They have so many beautiful houseplants, many I'd never heard of before. The selection of succulents was small but well kept - they had a huge one that was beautiful in the greenhouse. Also, they've got a good amount of herbs - grabbed some basil and mint for the kitchen planter.

We have done lots of landscaping with them and have loved everything. They are very thorough and come back to fix anything that may need adjusting. They take time to really assess the area and make sure that the plants are the best fit for the area.

Wonderful selection of flowers and garden necessities, top notch gift store area with so many "perfect" gifts!

We just moved out to this area and tried Mustard Seed for some flowers and a tree for our new house. We purchased a $195 Quickfire Hydrangea Tree and were told that this was the only shipment they were getting in this year of the tree. We were told the tree came with a year warranty for a replacement or refund. Two months went by and the tree never bloomed and looked the same way it did when we bought it - not healthy. We sent pictures and were told we would have to pay more money to get a replacement tree because the tree we purchased was from last August and they cost more this year. So we were sold a tree that went through the winter in a garden shed. If we didn't go with that option, we would have to call our CC company and ask for the refund from them or get a different tree that equaled the $195. Customer service was horrible and they were more worried about the $20 off we used on a purchase of $80 than replacing the tree. After rounds of communication with no tree replacement, we visited the store to get a refund from them. We will not be visiting this nursery again.

Amazing selection of top quality product. The plants looked so good, difficult to choose from so many good options.
Very helpful staff, regularly checking to see if assistance was needed. Gift selection was also whimsical and interesting, will need more time to check it all out.

I received a gift card for my birthday and have followed them for a while on Facebook. I really liked all the updates and things they post on Facebook so I stopped in this past weekend to use my gift card as I was looking for some plants for my garden. They weren’t overly busy when I was there and plenty of staff walking around but no one seemed willing to help. I finally stopped an employee to ask some questions about the plants I was considering to buy, and she seemed annoyed that I was even asking her questions. She snapped up the information card off the plant and just read it to me. Didn’t really answer my questions and did not want to help further. I ended up buying a couple of things but I didn’t use my whole gift card up. After being excited to check the place out, it ended up to be a place that was very uncomfortable to walk around with no one offering to help or even feel welcome.

Another year, another great visit! We bought plants last year and came back again this year to fill in some more gaps. The customer service was great. Mary was so incredibly helpful and gave us such good information and assistance. She was a wealth of knowledge and I could not be happier with our selection!

Nice little selection of MN natives. Much larger variety than Bachman's. Fair prices, healthy plants. I didn't look at the other stuff because I just use natives and heritage cut flowers.

Loved this garden center!! People were friendly and welcoming, even to my dogs. Plus they have chickens here!! Bonus!

EXCELLENT customer service! I am a huge succulent lover. They had lots of different varieties to choose from! I loved their “plant your own” station. You buy a pot (dirt is free) and buy the little succulents (or other little plants) you want to put in it. You can literally create your own masterpiece right there. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be coming back with my friends!

A very knowledgeable and kind gardener helped my toddler & I in choosing the right plants for a butterfly garden. The selection was quite extensive so I appreciated the assistance in navigating the garden center, and the seat on the cart! We enjoyed meeting the chickens & rooster too!

I really like the variety and beauty of this place. Employees are very nice. The retail prices however are astronomically high….like 70% more than the big boxes or than they should be. I certainly can’t afford to buy anything here.

I was very happy with the selection here. I found varieties that I don't normally see, which was what was after. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I went to the mustard seed for greens for my outdoor pots. They are higher priced but I assumed higher quality. When I opened the bundle of spruce tops they were mostly bare!? Not even really tops. I would have done better at Menards 😖

Amazing and unique selection of houseplants, annuals/perennials, and trees... And local, so you can't beat that! I picked out and planted a bunch of native perennials during their late-fall BOGO and everything is perking up amazingly! Each time we visit, we are greeted and given great advice by the staff, and one team member even remembered me from a past visit! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Chan area!
