Amazing experience after a tree landed in our roof. Have used them for years, highly recommend!

have used several times for trucking/hauling. A+

Randy and his team are the best! Very responsive, professional and they always go the extra mile every time to make sure it’s done right! Worked with him for 2 decades and every job has been top notch!

Frustrated that they do not stand behind their product. Today, I called a year after I purchased $200+ in a variety of perennials for a small garden and they refused to replace the plants. A year after purchase none of the perennials came back. We had mulched the area very well with leaves almost a foot of leaves in fall so they would be protected. The fact that none of them came back indicates poor product. They claim they only guarantee the perennials for one growing season! Which is ridiculous because how do you know if you get what you paid for if they don't come back the next year. I will never shop here again, I checked Bachman's and Home Depot's warranty and they guarantee their plants for one year or they will replace/refund.

Thank you to Wenda for helping me with my landscaping questions and suggesting the plants that would work best in the sunny flower beds on the west side of my house. There was another lovely lady that helped me in the gardens who's name escapes me. She has named all the hens and they respond to her when she calls them by name! Thank you!

I have attended a couple of events that The Mustard Seed has put on and have always been impressed by the quality of their stock and the kindness of their team. Cory Whitmer, one of the owners is an excellent resource if you are wanting to landscape. Cory has a genuine love for what he does and I can't recommend him highly enough!

Good: Many options
Bad:customer service
I went in search of bee friendly perennials hoping to speak with an expert. I started at Home Depot were the selection and experts were limited. The person at the Mustard Seed who seemed to know anything was busy so she simply listed off a few options (information I could, and did, get off the internet) sent another person to simply point out those plants to me. It would have been nice to be able to actually talk to the knowledgeable person about the specific plants I was interested in. -
They landscaped my neighbors yard and decided it was ok to run a big hose many feet into my yard, so a low spot and drain their pond. Now I have a lake to deal with. Clearly was done intentionally and it wasn’t an easy mistake to make.

Cute store a lot of touching items especially if you have lost a loved one. However, felt the plants were slightly overpriced but maybe because we went early in the season when plants aren't at their peak.

Cory and the whole gang are fantastic. I refer Cory to help my clients once they've purchased a home and want something great and when I have clients needing to have work done to get top dollar before selling. The work is top notch and done is a professional, workmanlike manor. I highly recommend Mustard Seed!

Loved the people, the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable and the store is beautiful! I didn’t particularly love the music but everything else was incredible! I bought some succulents and they are still doing amazing!

My mother bought a few hundred dollars worth of plants & flowers last Sunday. Then on Tuesday we found out that had a 25% sale on everything but they wouldn't give us the discount even if we returned them and bought them back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! NEVER AGAIN WITH THIS PLACE!!! Christian place... yeah right.

We recently had them do some landscaping at our house and they were absolutely wonderful! My husband and I really loved the finished look. Its great to work with a Christian focused organization and I love how they put everything they have into getting the job done right.

There is so much variety to choose from. Some people go places to people watch....You go to The Mustard Seed and plant watch. I honestly thought some of them were fake. They looked so strange to me.
Also....they have an indoor beehive. That's correct!! An...INDOOR...beehive. With a Queesn and all.
....and people call ME crazy.. bah
Check 'em out!! -
We are so pleased with the work that Mustard Seed did at our place. Both Mark and Kay were so easy to work with and their crew was wonderful. Everyone was timely and easy to communicate with, either in person or via text or email. I always felt listened to. We will definitely be working with Mustard Seed again!

Tons of options and friendly staff. 3 starts because I went there to buy mulch and was told nobody there could run a bobcat so I needed to come back!? Isn't that your business? Recommend checking with them before heading over if you need anything loaded.
** edit. The owner of this place personally called me to apologize for the above concern and went out of his way to make it right. I can respect that and for that reason i changed my review to a 5 star. It tells me they care and this was a minor oversight that they will work on for the future. Thanks guys. Top notch! -
This is a cute nursery. Very knowledgeable staff and just a fun place to walk around and look. So much better than the generic home depot or menards outdoor area. There are not many of these places left so they definitely care about your experience.

The mustard seed is a fabulous company. Their nursery is awesome! They are very community oriented. We have gone there to take Santa pictures the last two years. A much more relaxed picture taking experience than the mall.

They made up for my bad experience
At first....Extremely disappointed. I went in this morning to ask a simple question "do you guys have lemon basil?" And I got a snotty response "well it's late in the season for herbs but you can go look". You could hear the irritation in her voice. I didn't know asking for help would annoy someone that gets paid to work there. First time coming to the mustard seed and definitely will be the last.
But I appreciate Mark reaching out to me about my experience he was very helpful. And apologized multiple times even though he is not the person that was rude to me. I look forward to going back to pick up a lemon basil plant later today. Thank you again Mark 😊 -
The plant selection here is great and the website tools (plant finder) is very nice to use. What has turned me off from this business is their terrible customer service. The manager there, Ann M. is incredibly rude and treats her employees like dirt. The past few times I have been there she seems overwhelmed and unwilling to help customers and employees. She is snarky and very unpleasant to deal with. I was recently told over the phone that I could exchange a few plants I purchased within a week for some other ones that are better suited for the zone we live in. I confirmed with the associate on the phone that all I had to do was bring in the receipt and my plants in order to exchange them. I was willing to pay the difference of the new plants too, no problem. When I arrived there, Ann was up in arms about me bringing in plants to exchange. She was flustered, ripped my paperwork out of my hands and as she was walking away she said she didn't even know if they could exchange them. I am not sure where she went but she came back several minutes later and said she had called the owner. I understand why they couldn't let me exchange the plants until they had officially died but because I had called earlier to confirm this was okay she should have told me what the policy was supposed to be and that her employee had made a mistake. She should have seen how much money I spent there and said that because I was told this was okay she would work with me to take care of this. Instead she just said they can't do it and that I would have to dig them up when they die, and they will die because they aren't meant for this zone, and bring them back. I told her this was exactly why I called to confirm I could do this and that I don't want to shop here ever again.
Also, watch out for coupons there. If you use a coupon your plants are no longer under the one-year warranty. As I said above, I spent several hundred dollars here but because I used a $20 coupon the plants on that receipt are not covered. Luckily I had two receipts this trip. The store associates don't tell you this but Ann has no problem rubbing it in your face. If the plants I do have under warranty don't make it that is the only reason I will ever return to the Mustard Seed. I was a lifelong customer but I am afraid because of her management and the way she treats her employees I will not be spending another dime here. -
The Mustard Seed has a beautiful selection of plants and shrubs. Their gift shop is very large and has something for everyone. The plants are expensive but thrive when you plant them, so in my experience they are worth the cost.
