We worked with Scott, one of the owners, and he was excellent. His communication was perfect and he was willing to come up with a solution that worked for us. Scott never tried to hard sell us and let us come to our own conclusion. The installers were super polite and did a nice job. No complaints at all, very happy customers.

i recently replaced my furnace by GVHA via a Costco program. the sales person was honest and didn't try to upsell something I don't need. installation was even better - they arrived on time, did a excellent job as far as i could tell, and cleaned up very nicely and hauled away everything. not a single item dumped in my garbage can. i was drawn to this firm by Costco's reputation initially. but at the end of the day, it has earned the next job on its own merit. great service.

We had stellar service from GV Heating and Air. They were prompt, professional, and cleaned up after completing the work. They installed a high efficiency furnace and central air the day after giving us their bid. I was impressed with the whole experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We had a new Lennox furnace and air conditioner installed 6/27/19. The crew arrived exactly at the time I was told by GV Heating & Air. They were all very professional and friendly and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. They finished exactly at 7 hours which was an hour less than the quote I was given. They cleaned up their work areas so you wouldn't even know they had been here. I felt that they were open to my questions and wanted to ensure that I was happy with their work. Overall a very positive experience from start to finish. The equipment works and looks great too.

My AC decided to stop working right before the last heat wave. I reached out to a number of companies to get quotes to fix it. Turns out the best thing was to replace and not fix. I chose Golden Valley Heating and Air because of their simple, no pressure sales approach. Unlike other companies they were not interested in upselling me. Along with the new AC I had them address some Duct work issues I was having and add a humidifier to my furnace. They were able to fit me in within a week. Josh and Q showed up right on time, were very courteous, professional, and well experienced. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease that they knew what they were doing. They left the areas they worked in cleaner than when they showed up. If you need HVAC work done, I strongly suggest you contact these folks.

Eric was friendly and knowledgeable when he came to do Fall service on my gas furnace, establishing trust quickly. So, I asked about Wi-Fi thermostat options, and Eric did a great job explaining the differences between brands. I had been doing online thermostat research, but it was super helpful to talk to a technician who knows his stuff to make the right choice. I appreciated him completing the install same day as a thermostat was not on my original service request.

Very good and clean work, I let them in and they got the job done by the end of the day. Conrad was very helpful and I could tell he knew what he was talking about, Jayden also seemed like a nice kid/apprentice.

Our experience with Golden Valley Heating & Air was very positive. The presentation of the bid was clear and easy to understand. The installers showed up on time and wore booties over their shoes to keep our floors clean. They did not leave a mess in the basement.
We got three bids. Our handyman used to install furnaces, so we asked him to look at the bids with us and help us decide which one to choose. He was most impressed with Golden Valley's bid. It happened to be the lowest, but we were more interested in quality than price.
After the furnace was installed, we asked the handyman to look it over. Here's what he told us:
I was impressed with the sheet metal transition under the existing plenum and evaporator coil; most folks either won't take the little bit of extra time - or don't know how - to do precise tin bending. Pittsburgh seams are, in my opinion, a mark of craftsmanship; it's how I used to do it but it's kind of a lost art now. It is a clean install and looks great.
The installers showed us how to change the filter and asked us several times if we had any questions.
The furnace has been working fine.

GV heating & air tech Heath fixed our furnace in 30 minutes today. He was very efficient, honest and knowledgeable. He cleaned out clogging, changed capacitor $12, tested CO levels, ensured furnace safety and confirmed thermostat is working good, for total $200. Problem started after another company did a furnace tune-up two days ago pushing sales hard, quoted $179 for capacitor, scared us furnace was unsafe, tried to sell CO monitor for $199 and then new furnace. We needed a second opinion, furnace stopped working right afterwards. We called GV heating & air, our go to people, very trustworthy and reasonable price! Highly recommended them. Thank you Heath, you made our day!

Recommended by Costco and I am so happy they were! Great local business. I was contacted quickly by Brian for an estimate and Susan was great with the paperwork. All my rebate paperwork was handled by their office saving me valuable time. My neighbor used another local company and was not told about several rebates available.

The installers could not have been nicer or more professional. All around great experience.

My AC system compressor stopped working. I gave these a guys call. Not only were they able to come out the same day of calling them. They we're able to fix it immediately.

Other companies which I will not name. Didn't want to troubleshoot my system and just wanted to replace it.

We recently had a new AC and furnace installed. Our AC went out the hottest weekend of the summer thus far. We called several different companies for quotes. There was $8,000 range difference between the companies (for similar products). Golden Valley Heating and Air was slightly more than our lowest bid, but we went through Costco and received a 15% rebate/cash card off the total cost, which made the total we paid (after the rebate) significantly less than any other companies we received estimates from. Initially they had us about 4 weeks out for install, but were able to get another customer to switch their install date with ours so we only had to wait 10 days. We were happy with the installation crew - they were happy to go over everything with us following completion and even during installation. We have not had any issues that required follow-up service calls (good), so I'm hopeful their customer service (when needed) will be equally good. The pulled all the necessary permits and submit all the rebates for you. Overall, very pleased.

We went through Costco for a new ac and furnace and Golden Valley heating and air did a great job. They were straight forward and honest with options and costs, no hidden fees. I will use them again in the future for sure. The new Lennox ac is crazy cold and the whole system works great.

In the last 5 years I have had them install 2 different heat and air set ups with no problems. BUT then I ordered a $200 routine tune up on one of them. And they didn't do what I paid for. 2 days later the Air con freezes up. They came back out and said the refrigerant level was low and the condenser coil needed cleaning. Which is odd because I paid $200 to have the refrigerant level checked and the coil cleaned. So they either screwed up the tune up, or just said they did the tune up but didn't do it. ( this screw up caused the air unit to thaw and leak onto my ceiling below. Leaving a big water stain). Golden Valley Heating then proceeded to make up lies and BS to explain how this wasn't there fault. I have owned a lot of properties over the years and have delt with (and worked on) many air conditioning units. So when the lies and BS was thrown out in the hopes of confusing me, It didn't work. I was thoroughly disappointed as I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. SO if you hire them, make sure to watch to see they actually do the tune up, And not just say they did and steal your money.
PS they sent me a bill for $130 for doing what I paid them to do 2 days ago.

They always respond, quickly. The service was professional and honest. I had been told I needed a costly fix by a big box tune up guy. GV came and retested the furnace and said it was fine. I will stick with them going forward especially when it IS time for a new furnace.

We consulted with GV Heating & Air when our furnace blower stopped working. We were on the fence on whether we wanted to repair our 15 year old system for $2000 or replace it for $13000 (after rebates, credits, etc).

We had a few quotes from other vendors to replace but none of them provided concrete reasons why our system specifically should be replaced. That changed once Eric came by and looked our system. He mentioned that he took pride in his ability to keep his own 30+ year furnace going strong so we believed him when, after attempting a couple of repairs, he said he didn’t know exactly what was wrong with our furnace but it wouldn’t be cheap/worth it to fix it.

We were also happy that they only charged us for labor since the replacement part they installed didn’t get the furnace working again.

While we ended up going with another company for the replacement because of the manufacturer we wanted to use, we will definitely give GV Heating & Air a call should anything go wrong in the future.

We had to buy a new AC unit for our house. We just moved into this house and wanted the process to be stress free. Doug gave us a great quote and multiple options that worked for our budget. They came about a week after we picked what we wanted and did the job in about 6 hours. They worked fast and were very detailed orientated. They also kept my house super clean and clean up the area around my AC and furnace area. I would 100 percent recommend this company to anyone looking for new AC and Furnace options.

1/2020: The work was good and the servicemen were courteous, but PVC glue was dripped on our washing machine along with dark grease marks. Now I have purple marks and grease marks that won't come off! (In trying to remove the grease, I started removing some of the ink on the washer, so I stopped.) Someone from the company came to check on it, but nothing has been done to accommodate the marring of our washing machine.

Update 1/21/20: After seeing our review, we were contacted by the company. They said they wanted us to be satisfied, and they would replace the front or send us a check to cover the cost of replacing the front. They were very prompt in sending us the check. We received it within a few days of them contacting us.

It is nice to know there are companies who still value good customer service, care about their reputation, and will follow up on dissatisfied customers. I would, definitely, work with this company, again.
