Terry was out today to do my yearly furnace check and install a new wi-fi thermostat. He was super thorough, explained to me the difference between each of the thermostat models, and after installation gave me a great, easy-to-understand walk through of how to use the thermostat. He then walked me through the maintenance he did on my furnace, and made sure I understood the results of the tests he did. Overall, super professional, great communication (even with someone like me who doesn't understand HVAC at ALL) and a stellar technician. I will be using Better Air in the future.

I wanted to know if my current home AC performance was acceptable as I thought the on time was too short; [known as short cycling]. Cooling performance was good other than this concern. My service tech took the time to review its operation as he checked its operation with me and explained reasons that would cause this concern. Since AC was performing well with this exception we both agreed to best to run it as is. I agreed with his observations and conclusions. At times - it best not to fix what is not broken. I've used this companies service several times in the past and it been a positive experience each time.

Came home after a few days away to find a ‘gas-like/exhaust’ smell In the house. Called Better Air immediately and they sent out a technician. Quickly diagnosed a cracked heat exchanger in our 25 year old furnace, causing C02 leak In the house.

The furnace was shut down and Tom came over to discuss replacements late in the afternoon. He offered options and at 5pm we had a solution. They offered space heaters to be used overnight, and were on the job the next morning at 7am. Technician Troy was prompt, personable and professional. The new furnace was installed about 25 hours after our initial call.

Very happy with the entire process. Will continue to use Better Air for future needs.

Better Air recently replaced my 22 year old HVAC system. This included A/C, furnace, 3 zone control dampers, control board and 3 programmable thermostats. The design by Tom Wright was spot on. The installation crew were courteous, professional and overall did a great job. Everything worked as planned with no follow up calls required. I'm glad I chose Better Air for the job and would highly recommend them.

HVAC Consultant Tom had a technician at my home shortly after I called about no heat. They were unable to replace the furnace for a week. Ben came twice and Terry once to keep me warm till then. Installers Ryan and Jerry were awesome. Great job! I had discovered my water heater needed replacement. Ryan assisted in getting that replaced with Tom. Next day Terry and Brett put a new one in and got me up to code. I can’t thank them enough especially since temps were -18/-22° during this time.

I made an appointment with Better Air to come look at my central air conditioner. I had previously used them at another house to replace my furnace and remembered how nice they were to deal with. The technician that came(on time) was very polite and friendly. He cleaned the unit, did all of the checks he needed, checked over the furnace as well to make sure the two units were operating as they should. He explained things along the way and left me with a few helpful tips.
I greatly appreciate their service and professionalism.

We have used Better Air for servicing our air conditioner and furnace, and we also recently had them help with modifying ductwork and floor penetrations for our range/oven exhaust. They have always been very easy to work with, prompt with scheduling, and fairly priced. We've been very happy with them!

Figured out we had no AC over the weekend. Called in around 8:15 Monday morning and they were here by 10:30! Ben was our tech. Very kniwledgeavle, professional, personable and efficient. The owner, Chad, really took the time to talk with me and listen to my needs without any pressure, and he gave me several options to consider when my A/C went out completely in June ’21. Ben is the best! Although I called around noon, Ben was able to stop by towards the end of his workday that day and found the problem with my furnace. I had already completed some trouble-shooting so when I related that to Ben, he immediately diagnosed an issue I had not thought of and fixed it on the spot.
Great attitude and quite knowledgeable.

I received a free inspection from Benjamin Franklin one hour. They said the furnace was red tagged, do to the age and a crack in the heat exchange, the quote was $10-16k. After the panic was gone, I called Ron Plank who is a great man and plummer/handyman. Ron recommended Jerry from Better Air of Northfield and I received a quote which was FOUR TIMES Lower than the highest quote from Benjamin Franklin. Better Air's Jerry land Josh left my house completely installed after only 3.5hrs.
All I would say is Better Air haa great customer service, courteous and reliable service! They called ahead to make sure we were comfortable and broight over 6 space heaters to heat the house.

I really wanted to like Better air. I have an aging geothermal unit that they are the only ones around that will service my brand. Charlie is an absolute stellar tech and I have zero complaints about him and his work. My one star rating is in regards to the sales. I am needing a new system and I had Charlie and a sales rep out in July. Charlie added refrigerant to the system due to a leaking service valve. The sales guy gathered all the information he needed to quote me a new system. When he left he said he would be in touch in a week. A month past and I didn’t hear anything. I called in and was told my quote was put on hold because my system was currently running and he got really busy. Mind you both guys agreed there were several things wrong with my system and my service valve was still leaking. So yes it was technically “running” but on band aids at this point. I reluctantly told him I understood and was asking for information regarding the gas supply they would need for the new system so I could at least have some of the prep work done for them. I told him I really wanted to get a new system installed before the end of the year, mainly for the expiring tax credit for a geo system. He said he would get back to me on the gas line information. Well here we are almost December and nothing. Not one word or shred of communication. I was fully ready to spend the $25,000-$30,000 ballpark figure I was given. Now being I’m going to miss the tax credit. I don’t think I want to spend my money at better air.

UPDATE: 12/16/2025- Chad was very quick to respond to this situation and we came to a resolution within a week. He made sure to get the install done before the end of the year and I am very grateful for this! The install crew were fantastic and didn’t miss a single detail. I look forward to the continued GREAT service they do and have provided.
