Our water heater pilot wouldn't stay lit. Through Minnegasco, Champion Plumbing came to put in a new water heater for us. Austin a polite, very knowledgeable technician came to get the job done.
He treated me with genuine respect. He took time to explain everything making sure I understood. When the job was done, he explained everything that was completed & how everything works. I'm surprised at how Austin made this as painless as it was. Thank you for sending him to get the job done. I'd recommend this company anytime!

Palming came out today and did an excellent job. The technician Matt G. was professional, responsible, and very easy to communicate with on the water heater replacement project. He explained everything clearly and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

The workmanship was clean and well done — you can tell he takes pride in his work. The pricing was very reasonable and transparent, with no surprises. Everything felt organized and professional from start to finish.

I’m very satisfied and would definitely recommend him to others.

Quick service at a reasonable price provided when I needed a new water heater installed. Brought the new heater in and took the old one out. Matt was my installer. He was very professional and answered all my questions. He was also very personable. I would definitely recommend him. I would call him for any future plumbing needs.

Austin did a fantastic job installing my new water heater that I purchased via Home Depot. He explained everything, showed me what needed to be updated for code and made sure I understood everything about the water heater including maintenance needed. I would highly recommend Champion Plumbing for the service, but also because the pricing was very reasonable.

Champion did a great job with communication and were able to find, deliver, and install a new water heater very rapidly and Gavin my plumber/installer was awesome. Very courteous, concerned for my floors with booties and tarps to cover my carpets, he was in and out in under two hours. Thanks Champion. I’ll definitely call next time I need a plumber.

Yeah, Im not 100% happy with the explanation. However all people from champion are outstanding. 5 star.

my house is only 20 years old, this will be my 2nd replacement of my water heater. Its plug and play. but they claim they cant do it and I need a heat pump- WHAT? its freaking water heater.

heat pump plus electricity (which is expensive) no natural gas, venting issue haha

I have others coming to replace it. simple 50 gallon waterheater with a fan assembly on top. simple plus and play solution, if I was a plumber, I could do it- now they want 5K forget it....

a high end water heater is 1399 at home depot, but they want to replace my whole suystem to electric and charge me 5K+

i don't get it. and I'm not a plumber..... so who knows, maybe I'm wrong. and they are right- we will see.

I asked for service call, when I did, I was told that they would be here for 30 minutes for $150. While he was here, he spent 25 minutes on the phone with the manufacturer where he was asking what he should troubleshoot. My fault, I assumed these were knowledgeable techs. After the first half hour passed, I kind of made it clear like hey do you have a diagnosis? He mentioned that he was on the phone with Rheem and that he thinks that they’re wrong so I just let him be. He did mention to me then, if I was busy, I can do my own thing.. which I did.

He then comes up an hour and 15 minutes later and tells me he’s gonna have to double what he charged me after the dispatcher specifically said that he would pause after 30 minutes to verify that I wanted him to continue.

The guy didn’t even follow his own instructions. He was not knowledgeable enough to service it on his own and then I was quoted $500 to repair a $50 part.

I mean, the guy hopefully figured out what was wrong but if all we had to do was call the manufacturer I could’ve done that myself.

Honestly, not impressed at all. This was the most drug out and over played service call. He spent 30 mins running water on the phone with the manufacturer. Well, I could have done that. After watching a five minute YouTube video charging me $500 to take three screws off there’s also kind of insane. And then not even being able to tell me which one I should purchase is also kind of insane. So much for a diagnosis.
