Thanks to Jeff for coming today and solving our main drain issue. You were professional, timely and scoped both the main drain and out to the street. Found rust in the main drain causing clogging and did the necessary scraping and clean out at a reasonable price. Thanks for your kindness and help while we were out of town! We'd definitely recommend you again.

Was able to get someone here quickly, when I needed them. Got plenty of notice as they were arriving. Jordan, our technician, was professional, courteous, and efficient. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. We’ve had Ton the Sewer Rat to our house a few times over the years, and will continue to look to them when we need help!

I made an appointment request for a toilet that was leaking at the base on a Saturday, and someone from the company called on Sunday. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. It was all incredibly fast, which I was thankful for.

Ezra came out and assessed the leak. He gave me multiple options on what could be done, including which options would be cheaper and which would be more expensive. I ended up having the entire toilet replaced, which Ezra was able to do the same day. We love our new toilet. Ezra was clearly very knowledgeable and did a great job removing the old toilet and installing the new one. The old toilet had a power flush apparatus, and Ezra had no problem uninstalling it. He was friendly and kept me up to date on the timeline. I would 100% use Ron the Sewer Rat for any plumbing needs.

Easy appointments made on line by selecting a day & several hour time window.
Received a call confirming our need(s) and explaining all policies, fees, rates, & payment practices.
Received another call about 45 minutes before the technician arrived.
Received a text with photo of the technician about 25 minutes before he arrived. This was a nice touch to see & read a bit about who was coming to my home.
We had bathwater back up in the basement floor drain, so knew we had a clog or some similar issue.
Technician - Garvin listened to our problem, inspected the area, explained what he would attempt, and approximately how long it would take.
He took care to cover his shoes, and laid down runners, tarps, and towels to protect our flooring, rugs, & carpet.
He sent a camera down the main line & showed where our blockage (roots) was. He then brought in additional equipment to clear the line.
All was done quickly, cleanly, efficiently, and carefully. Garvin was polite, pleasant, and exuded confidence in his work.
Total cost was $380 for 1 hr 45 min of work.

This is the best home service company that I have ever dealt with! From the ease of making an online request for service, to the very prompt return call, then the great communication of confirmation of appointment time and updates as the appointment time neared, and the very courtious and professional service that the Service Tech (Jordan) provided. I could not be more pleased. The cost of the service was less than what I expected -- AND -- there was no attempt to "up sell" or make the project bigger or more complex than it was. I willhighly recommend this company for sewer cleaning. I also give additional cudos to Jordan for informing me of the best way to keep drains clear of sludge so the problem does not occur again in the future.

We tired of hearing the hammer noise when our washing machine or dishwasher were running. Hammer arresters were installed. Noise vanished. Homeowners happy. 7 mths pass and knocking returns during washing machine cycle. Warranty honored and arresters were replaced. Further discussions regarding potential Eagan water pressure changes, variability surrounding time of day (ie when the most Eagan water was being used), our personal water pressure reading and codes for new home construction. We didn't have a pressure reducing valve (PRV) and made the decision to install one, as well as an expansion tank. Lastly, because we opted to forgo the surprise of a leaking water heater, we replaced our 8+ year old unit. Ron the Sewer Rat was able to have the heater delivered and our plumber stayed to install it so we didn't have to schedule another service date.

Don't get the impression that they were 'selling' us. That wasn't the case at all. We kept asking questions about causes, best chance of a permanent fix, etc and WE asked them to quote the replacement.

Ezra was our plumber. I couldn't have asked for a nicer, more respectful, 'clean' worker, and someone who wasn't frustrated with our myriad of questions. He laughed as I poked fun at my own lack of plumbing knowledge and explained things at a level where I could understand. John, master plumber who fielded my initial call, spent a half hour on the phone with me as we talked through potential issues, what their resolution might be, and suggested that I contact the city to see if any changes had been made on their end. He was also gifted in bridging his high level expertise lingo to that of a novice.

This is our third time in 2025 using Ron. We replaced all our toilets in the spring. Then scheduled again to replace our laundry tub and faucet during the appointment we made for the hammer arresters to be installed. We were fortunate to have quick service appointments for all 3 of our requests. I don't know if that is always the case because we did avoid the busy summer season. We will continue making Ron our first call when a plumber is needed.

I was really happy with the whole experience. I was very fortunate they had same day availability on a Monday. The technician who came out, Tim, was punctual, courteous, and he left the work and transit areas perfectly clean. Clog gone, great service, fair price 100% recommend this company!

I’ve used Ron the Sewer Rat several times over the years and continue to be impressed with their outstanding customer service. Most recently, we had an issue with our 20‑year‑old water heater, and Elmir walked my husband & I through two clear options—repair or replacement. After discussing the pros and cons, it was clear that repairing an aging unit wasn’t the best investment, so we moved forward with a new installation. Elmir handled the removal, installation, and cleanup with professionalism and care. I highly recommend this company’s plumbing services and will continue relying on them for future needs.

Michael was great!!! Knowledgeable, kind, on time, diligent, fast working, courteous, & very professional! He even took time to explain what the issue was, since I had suspected a potential problem that it turned out not to be. Couldn't recommend him higher! Rates are very reasonable & I will be using y'alls services again if needed.

My initial phone call went really well, their office staff asked great questions, clarified my issue, and quoted me a price in line with their posted rates. They were able to dispatch someone same day to clear a clogged tub. They sent a text with the techs information and picture. The technician who arrived did a great job, was professional, pricing was again transparent and clear. The work was completed quickly, double checked, and cleaned up professionally. Would be happy to use this company again.

Everything went very smoothly. They were quick, easy, and flexible with scheduling and communication and were able to prioritize my backed-up sewer line.

Garvin was my technician and he was great to work with. He was knowledgeable, walked me through the situation and process, completed the work to a high standard, and cleaned up the mess more thoroughly than I would've expected. If possible, I'll try to request Garvin for any future plumbing needs.

I worked with Jon J. today and he was fantastic! Fast, efficient, got it done right, and within the deadline required. Also worked with Tim, Jeff, Kelly in scheduling(I think her name.. sorry), Paige, Austin the project manager, Shawn a company manager, and Michelle. All great. Use them, like them, and trust them. Fantastic service. Nick was timely, friendly and professional. He cleared up our issue in no time and keep the space neat and tidy. We would definitely call him back from any other necessary work.

We had a great experience with Ron the Sewer Rat! Don'Dre the plumber came out to replace a pipe/fitting beneath our sink. The drain pipe had frozen during the recent cold snap, and the pipe broke when we tried to clear the blockage ourselves. Don'Dre came out, replaced the pipe for exactly the cost we expected, and evaluated several other plumbing issues in our home. He gave us some good advice about when to replace another pipe.

A couple of days later, Nicholas H with the drain cleaning division came out to help clear out the drain, and he was super nice and helpful. My wife had to be home alone to handle the repair, and Nicholas was happy to explain things to her and very cordial along the way. She felt well taken care of.

Both Don'Dre and Nicholas were top notch! We had heard good things about RTSR from our friends, and we will definitely echo those recommendations ourselves going forward. Thanks so much for making our repair easy and painless!

They were both really nice, knowledgeable, and thorough in diagnosing the problem. They explained everything in a way that made sense and helped us fix the issue efficiently. Our experience with Ron the Sewer Rat was excellent. Jonathan was super knowledgeable and diagnosed a water softener problem, then installed a new one in a couple hours. Also, when we mentioned we still had slow hot water in the kitchen (everywhere else was fine) , determined that the shut off valve had hard water corrosion and replaced that in 1/2 an hour, which solved that. Highly recommended!!

We’ve used Ron the Sewer Rat several times, and have always been pleased with their work. Tim is excellent. Explained what was wrong and showed us the videos.
I loved that they send a picture of who’s coming before arriving, so there are no worries that some random person enters your house. (you never know these days!)

We had a floor drain backup in our basement and they were able to come out quickly and inspect the issue with a video scope. Found the severe root clog and were able to clear it after some intense work. Tim was very respectful of our house and the space he was working in. He communicated prices up front and talked me through what was happening and what progress was being made. He cleared the blockages and performed a full inspection of our sewer all the way to the city connection. We called Ron the Sewer Rat after recommendations from two neighbors. We will certainly use Ron the Sewer Rat for any future plumbing needs. Would strongly recommend.

Gervé was really helpful and a great guy. I would highly recommend. He was professional and he identified and solved our problem quickly. They were awesome. Our main drain line was backing up and I gave Ron's a call. They were super nice on the phone and found a tech who was in the area and he showed up within an hour or two. He quickly diagnosed the issue and had the main line to the street cleared out in no time. Everyone was great to deal with and they had great communication and organization. Would recommend and plan to use going forward. Michael showed up early in the appt window. Not only was he super friendly, but very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to keep things clean and tidy. When questioned about the history of the house, he gave thoughtful and honest feedback so we could devise a plan moving forward.
