I used Stinson Services last year for new siding on my house and now new windows and repairing/repainting water damage in my kitchen. The team at Stinson is helpful, respectful, patient and great communicators. They are talented at what they do, they like what they do and it shows. They are pleasant to work with in all phases of the project, from estimating, working with insurers and finalizing the project and payment. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get work done on their home. I've worked with Mark on all my projects and can say that he looks out for his clients and has their interests in mind. Did my roof this year, awesome company. Stinson did my cousins home (roof, siding) in 2017. We love to refer them as they always come up big. Worked with my insurance company and was aggressive at getting my roof done and covered. Initially my insurance only felt I had minor damage, Stinson met them at my house twice and was able to get my entire roof covered. Mike was great as my main contact, as was the entire crew.

My wife and I decided that it was time to replace the roof, siding and insulation in our home. The home was a foreclosure and still had the original shingles and cedar siding from 1986. Needless to say, this was going to be an expensive project. I got quotes from a few contractors, including Stinson Services Inc. By far, Stinson Services were among the better quotes we had and they were associated with the company I work for through a system called MERCS. After talking with Ryan for a while, my wife and I decided to use Stinson Services for the job. During the process, the siding professionals showed up on time in the morning and left around 5 pm every weekday. It was nice to know that they respected our time and didn't work late into the night. The siding professionals were very helpful with little features I wanted to add or had questions about. The roofers seemed like they were never there, since they finished the 3000 ft^2 roof in a couple of days. Overall, Stinson Services treated us with respect and stood behind their work. Eric, the foreman, helped take care of any problems that came up and informed us about material delivery dates, project status updates and anything that we would need to know about. My wife and I would do business with them again in a heartbeat! If you’re reading this Ryan, I think the next project might be a stamped concrete patio.....would love to talk about that soon!

I obtained three quotes from Twin Cities roofing contractors for a new roof due to hail damage in Spring 2022. The three quotes were between $12K to 14.5K for a modestly sized 1.5 story home in Minneapolis. Stinson was the highest quote, but their sales person Tom was friendly, confident, and had a plan for the ice dam problem we faced. I felt Stinson had a good reputation in the area - so I verbally committed to Stinson. Several weeks later when they came by for a walk-through and asked to review the Insurance agency's documentation. Tom all of a sudden felt he underestimated the size of the roof by 7 square (***700 square feet***). Mind you - Stinson charges ~$650/square. Our pricing estimate went from $14.5K to $20K - after I had sent the other roofing contractors away and it was approaching the end of the roofing season. Feeling pressed for time, I felt I didn't have a choice. I sat down with Tom, and we negotiated a middle ground of $18K - still dramatically higher than the original estimate. The roof went up in a timely fashion and the crew was great. I have no reason to believe they didn't do quality work, but that doesn't make up for the bait and switch feeling I am left with (not to mention a palate with 3 square of extra material (that I paid for) which was sitting on my sidewalk upon completion of the job and picked up by Stinson a week later.

We've used Stinson Services a few times in the past and most recently, a few days ago to replace a skylight. As new homeowners, my husband and I really appreciate that Ryan took the time - as he always does - to explain and to work with us in making sure that the job was completed correctly, efficiently and that we were happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend Stinson. Very professional and responsive. They do quality work and let us know what the plan was every step of the way. They did a huge project on our house, a lot to manage (roof, siding, gutters and more). We had major hail damage and they handled it seamlessly, even worked everything out with insurance. Special thanks to Hector, Aaron, Thor and Ryan.
