I am sorry to hear that there are so many people that are disappointed with LawnSmith.
They’re trying to blame the damage on too high of grass. THATS ridiculous! THIS LOOKS LIKE OPERATOR error. If anything else, they need to repair the damage to keep their customer ratings higher. In my experience, this is due to either the Trimmer was used at too high of speed along with the trim string was too heavy. Companies do this to save money on the trim string.
In the end, they are losing business just because of their poor ratings. Over a period of time that would more than make up the cost of the repairs. Dan should know this. This is basic customer service 101. People would much rather see positive steps showing that you care about your customers.

Had them aerate my lawn last fall. They missed some areas..called them...they came back and re-did the entire lawn again. Now, this spring, I have a lawn full of mud filled holes with no grass growing in them. I called for a solution...no response.

Incredible communication and professionalism! We used them for irrigation system winterization and they were very proactive about moving up the date due to the early cold snap.

Fast service and awesome results. The team took good care to not damage existing structures including paver when leveling the ground.

We just watched the Barrett guy mowing lawn at Park and Ride off of 494 get off his mower and pickup liter to walk it over to the parking lot and throw it on the ground. Sure seems like they could collect it and toss it away easy enough. Thanks for caring!

Reasonable prices and good results.

I've used them for years for lawn/irrigation maintenance. Mulch, and recently they fixed a wet spot in my yard with some catch basins and drainage which I'm very happy with.

Terrible! Caught these guys cutting the grass 3 times a month when they were contracted for once a week!
I cut my lawn and the cabin grass, so I know when the grass goes too long. This went on for two years and I complained and sent in pictures asking what was going on. Supervisor finally called and admitted that I was being taken advantage of and apologized, which is about the only commendable thing to happen in all of this.

Barrett Lawn Care had provided excellent lawn care service to us for a few years. We are extremely happy with the lawn and their high level of integrity. The entire staff is friendly. I look forward to using them for more lawn care services every year

When the snow melted after closing on our new home, it uncover an over grown and outdated mess of a yard. We felt overwhelmed with where to begin so we called Barrett Lawn Care. Upon our first meeting with the owners, Eric and Laura, we felt confident we were in good hands. They reassured us that our yard had potential and our dream for a beautiful yard was achievable. Eric brought up creative ideas such as using existing boulders on our property to build a boulder wall to be incorporated in our front landscaping and using flagstone for a bench platform. They quickly wrote up a detailed plan, we knew what to expect as far as cost and timeline. Eric helped us to choose plants that fit our request for low maintenance. He explained what, if any, upkeep would be needed for each plant and shared his knowledge around what to expect from each plant as far as blooming and hardiness. We were impressed with their attention to detail, efficiency, and thoughtfulness throughout our yard makeover. We are so happy with our finished projects and recommend Barrett Lawn Care to others who are looking for help with landscaping and lawn rehab.

This company is incredibly overpriced for the low-quality service they provide. They make promises they don’t keep, and it’s clear that honesty is not a priority. The employees are unprofessional, often showing up late and acting like they don’t care about their work. If you’re looking for reliability and fair pricing, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Barrett Lawn Care does OUTSTANDING work. We hired Barrett to help us with the yard in a house we purchased last summer. For someone who enjoys gardening, designing and planting in the yard, I had a difficult time turning over something I have taken pride in doing in the past 4 homes I’ve owned. This was different as we needed to replace overgrown items, not just design and plant.

Eric Barrett walked the property with us to get a feel for what we were looking for. Within days, he was back out with a plan incorporating a wonderful design, plant selection, and "outcroppings" (I was informed these weren’t boulders). Who knew we needed a berm? The existing shrubs were overgrown and didn’t do anything to complement the house. There was some overgrown juniper (which I’ve always despised) that was hiding the flower boxes on the house.

Eric and his team came in with small bobcats and ripped those tough roots right out of the ground. They replaced the overgrown shrubs with new plants that are providing us with year-round interest. The plants look so nice now as they have been greening up over the winter!

We have had numerous compliments from neighbors since we made the changes. Almost best of all, Laura Barrett scheduled the landscape work around our move-in date, and pulled the entire project off in 2 days (including the fantastic job of cleaning up)! Amazing! Such a simple thing like getting there when they were scheduled and finishing when scheduled is very much appreciated!

I would definitely recommend Barrett Lawn Care for any landscaping needs you may have. They are hard workers, highly trustworthy, efficient and great people to work with. Thank you Eric, Laura and team!
