Electrical reviews in Maple Grove, Minnesota

Didn't show up for an appointment and didn't bother calling me notifying me the technician wouldn't make it. I called them the next morning asking and they offerered me an appointment 5 days later, no effort in trying to make it right by coming asap on an important project. Super unprofessional id stay away if you have a time sensitive project.

The electrician was polite and professional, and he described everything he did in a way that I could comprehend. As a business, I'd want to commend Champion Electrical Services on their excellent communication throughout the process, from scheduling an appointment to receiving notification that a technician is on the way, to receiving exact pricing on the estimate of work. I was ecstatic with the entire procedure. Congratulations to them and their entire firm for providing excellent service.

Champion Electrical Services technician that came out was professional and courteous. He fixed the necessary panel, gave explanation for the reason why it went out and even quoted us for some work we want done in the future. We called them the day before and they were able to book a quick and easy appointment. A competitor in the area gave us 10 days out and that was just not going to work. If I need electrical service, I will definitely turn to Champion Electrical Services first.

When we had an emergency, Mark Electrical Solutions in Maple Grove truly rescued us. Their electrician was incredibly calm and highly skilled, quickly and safely restoring our power. We're so grateful for their exceptional service!

Richard was prompt, friendly, professional. His inspection of our problem was thorough, and the price he quoted us was the price we paid at the end. Well done!

A very windy storm led to water seeping into my electrical panel from a poorly insulated outdoor access panel. Several of my breakers had water.
30 minutes after I spoke with Randy's, Luis showed up on a Saturday morning. He diagnosed the problem. Explained precisely what had happened; he gave me options to fix it; and he had it done in about an hour. He was courteous, clean, easygoing, clear in his explanations, and professional.
I ended up having him price out something for a project I'm thinking about taking on.
I'd absolutely work with Randy's again, and I'd request Luis! -
Josh Weikal did an amazing service all around the board. He was prompt, didn't leave a mess, and last but certainly not least ensured that I understood services were rendered. I was given several options for services, and he also detailed each option, pros and cons of each to support my decision. Service was for a dedicated circuit for my kitchen island that two previous electricians discussed that would destroy my ceiling in my finished basement & a two outlets in the kitchen that they could not determine why both did not have power. Josh installed the circuit without destroying my ceiling. He also covered & secured the small hole. The craftsmanship is top tier. I finally get to have my microwave stationed in my island.
I had concerns with obtaining a permit. However, that was taken care of as well. The administrative office also scheduled the time and date with the inspector for inspection. Confirmed a time that was convenient for me as well.
The services are a lifetime warranty. Randy's Electronic are also listed in Ramsey County Minnesota Homeowners Referral Guidebook. Five Star Rating.
You will not be disappointed. It was worth everything, dollar spent!
THANK YOU! ❤️🙌🏾 -
We had a small leak under our kitchen sink that we wanted fixed. Luke came out and accessed the issue and gave us three options. We went with the lowest price which was $1262.00. This option was to remove our garbage disposal and re-plumb. My complaint is not with Luke, he did a very good job. My complaint is how do they justify charging so much for a simple job. The parts needed were maybe $150.00. The actual job took less than one hour. The total time was about two hours, which included accessing the job, going to a plumbing store for parts and fixing the problem. This means that we were charged about $550.00 an hour for a very simple plumbing fix. I think that is ridiculously high and would recommend using another company.

I needed a plumber and electrician to come out and make some repairs as I prep my home for sale. The booking was incredibly easy and convenient (the person on the phone said he'd have the plumber come from 8-10 and the electrician come from 10-12). Both were incredibly prompt and were great communicators. Brian and Jeremy did an amazing job of setting and managing my expectations, worked quickly and I truly appreciated the work they did and more importantly HOW they did it. I would definitely hire them again!

Definitely felt like I got a bait and switch deal. Paid good money upfront to get a tech out. Tech shows up and won't do anything without MORE payment. Seems like a very un-honest approach.

The service was excellent from start to finish, the entire team was pleasant and professional, clearly explaining the issues they uncovered and providing a prompt resolution and transparent pricing. Highly recommend working with Randy’s, we certainly will again.

Friendly and professional and always enjoy when he provides service. Have also recommended friends to Joe and always have good sports back.

I called these guys based on Angi.com and google reviews. The work was to diagnose and potentially fix a water leak. They charged $75 just for the visit that I had agreed to. I thought that would cover the diagnosis too (I already identified which pipe was leaking, just needed to identify the point of leak). But upon visually inspecting, they said the leak was from a wall behind the shower and to accurately diagnose it, they said they needed to cut a hole through the wall and it will cost me $225 on top of the $75. I was surprised by this and yet agreed to go ahead. They cut a hole through the wall and identified the problem as the shower valve and quoted me $2600 to replace. Really?!!! While talking to them I looked up the price of the valve, it is $165 for a good brand. And add 2 hours of labour and for that $2600?!!! They were putting pressure on me to get the work done immediately. I declined and called 2 other companies. The quote from both of them were way below $2600 and the lowest quote was around $900 for owner supplied part which seemed fair to me. And both the companies did not charge anything for diagnosis.

Jordan was super-professional in presenting my service options and got right to work. He did a great job replacing two plugs (outlets?) but in looking at the bill and thinking about it, I don't think he put in the not-$1030+ suppressor thing unless that was the GFI. I will certainly call on Randy's again, if the need arises. Thank you.

Randy's installed a new water softener in our home, replaced our dryer vent, and installed a new bathroom sink fixture for us. The work was top notch with kudos to Luke and Phil for getting it done quickly. Great service from Randy's!

One of those companies that try to charge $300 for 15 minutes of work to replace a wall controller for a thermostat and then tell you how that's a great price because they gave you a $100 coupon to lower the cost down from $400. They should have a bit more shame when looking into your face and saying that.I have had the same work done on another wall before for a third of that cost. Good riddance.

I was reminded that ANY business that requires a fee for a quote will have the highest bid than ANYONE out there. Jeremy the licensed electrician quoter was kind, but it was obvious he was playing a role like he wanted to find me the " best price" and even trying to make an easy project look complicated, like oh, not sure this can be done, gee. He was not a new licensed electrician. The project was to add a space heater (already purchased by me at Menards with a dial on the space heater itself, no extra cabeling, also I understood project and requirements as I have done my own electrical in the past) The project was to install a 72 inch baseboard electric 240 volt heater in our sunroom with the electrical panel kiddy corner under the location through the wall. I informed the licensed quoter that I needed him to drill a hole, run new Romax (max 8 to 10 foot of 12-2 Romax cable), then add a double switch already mapped out on the panel and setting up the space heater on the wall. The job would have taken him at the absolute most 2 to 3 hours. He had a touchpad computer quote system app which seemed to be a standard Randy Electric quote app, he pointed and said I'd like to get this done for you as soon as possible, quoting me almost $1800. I told him his price was too high, he said that electricians get paid at least $150 an hour now, not like in the past $40, likec n 2008, he said. I have hired contractors before, $150 an hour already is quite excessive. The job would have taken him 3 hours!! Even at that rate with supplies, a rough in permit and final inspection permit, which is all done online state fees for this single permit would have been less than $200, his hours pretend he needed 4 hours ($600) with a generous amount for supplies (8-10 feet of 12/2 Romex, a double 20amp switch ) at $180 total high cost $980. What was he giving himself a $900 tip besides charging a crazy amount per hour? Then after being told he would send me the quote via email, he charged me his $75 quote fee? For what? A high quote that had no bearing on the scope of work? It has been over 3.5 hours no quote, even though he had everything on his computer ready for me sign. I feel robbed of my time and $75. To be gaslit and lied too on actual real costs? Ridiculous. Giving a 2 because he showed up on time and was polite. Do not use Randy electric if this is truly how they conduct their business.

Josh and Isaiah were a good team, and I was given information on progress every step of the way. All costs were presented up front so I could make an informed decision on how to proceed. The work done was excellent, and Josh wrote up costs for some potential future projects. A very positive experience.

Travis was awesome to have come and look at our new home. He answered all our questions, got us set up with our requested future services, and took the time to inspect everything to make sure it's safe and explained everything to us in a way we could understand. Requesting him for all future electrical work.

I have a very old house that has been DIY’d by previous owners. Zach was very thorough and explained everything out and made recommendations that were urgent and not so urgent. He not only fixed the issue I had but took the time for some smaller projects that had been left unfinished from others. It’s hard to find a solid company that checks all of the boxes. I will absolutely be using this company from now on!

Ryan, from Randy's Electric & Plumbing, came out to provide an estimate on an electrical job for us. He was very professional and also friendly. He was very knowledgeable and took the time explain the scope of the work. I have confidence and trust that they will do the work well when the time comes.
