TruGreen lawn service is fine. Back at the office, not so good. Last year they put a note on their invoices they are going to bill by email, never asked us. 4 months later I get a letter from a collections agency, missed 2 payments. I called and they told me they switched, but who reads all that stuff, and plus, I get a thousand emails every day, I didn't expect a bill thru email nor would I agree to it. I paid the bill over the phone. They asked if I'd like to continue service, to which when I find a good alternative I will switch. I said no, I'd like to continue. They said they essentially can no longer trust me so need a credit card they can bill automatically, BUT, they have stopped the automatic email thing due to all the complaints. Nice.

*UPDATE*
Now I am not having issues with billing, but the service has gone way down hill. We can barely see any evidence that any granulars were left. It seems the last 2 applications were rush jobs. I have decided to start doing it myself again.

I had a very productive conversation with my technician today. She was very great knowledgeable about lawn care service.

Today was my first experience with TruGreen. I had a conversation with the gentleman about my yard, and the lawn treatment he provided today. He was very informative and courteous.

My beautiful yard is very deep green compared to the neighbors.
I have no dandelions, clover, or mosquitoes! My technician answered all my questions and gave me advice. Thank you TrueGreen for a yard I am proud of.

My Trugreen representative was very detailed about what he was doing and how it will work. Also the weather will not have any impact on the repellant.

Do not start an account with this company. If you ever cancel their service they will never leave you alone. I used Tru Green for about 1.5 years. The first year was alright, no spectacular improvement but there was steady slow improvement so I let it go.

The fall of the first year it all started going bad. They scheduled an aeration. The city had tore up and replanted the front 8 feet of my yard, so I called and specifically told asked them to not even touch that area it was the cities responsibility to repair it but to please go ahead with the rest of the property. They said they understood and would note it. When the day came, not only did Tru Green aerate the area they said they wouldn't, they dug giant mud ruts with their machine, and did the same in a large portion of my neighbors lawn. We are not talking like foot over a confusing property line, they went all they way to their driveway.

I called and complained, they offered nothing in recompense (let alone to my neighbor), but when I asked they assured me if the city refused to keep up the repair in that section due to their disaster they would fix it all. Against my better judgement I let them continue well into the next summer hoping it would get better. As the service did not seem to improve my lawn I called to cancel.

During this call they stated I should have been calling to get extra visits, and it would have been at no extra cost. Seems silly pay to have "lawn expert" at my property monthly and I need to tell him what he is doing isn't working. They ran through script repeatedly until they finally gave up and accepted my cancel.

Since then has been no better. I get a call at least once a week from some poor phone worker clearly forced to aggressively stick to their script and try to get me to come back. I get constant mail, both at the house and email. I have asked for the calls to stop nicely, I have explained their service and response was terrible and I don't want it anymore. If I accidentally answer the call I am forced to hang up on these poor workers because they're forced to try to keep me on with the script.

They are awful. Hire someone local, with actual lawn professionals.

My lawn care specialist Max did a fantastic job taking care of my lawn over the summer. I haven't seen him for a little bit but I am very pleased! Always polite and takes such good care.

I had a lawn that looked like it was in poor health and reached out for help and TrueGreen came in for the rescue. As the treatments began to happen and the weeds began to die off and the fertilizer took place and the lawn took to the beautiful dark green I was loving what was happening. Their communication is absolutely stellar. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Charles helped me pick a plan that was affordable and fit our family’s needs. Service technicians were timely and friendly and on autopilot. I didn’t have to schedule or assist with anything it was great.

TrueGreen came back for a free service due to weads growing in my yard due to neighbors neglect of caring for their yards. Happy they retreated my yard. HOWEVER I have notified TruGreen on several occasions to blow off my sidwalks of products used to treat my yard!!! It NEVER GETS CLEANED OFF!!! I own a dog and it is very unsettling the sidwalks are covered with their products. As I walk into my house it literally gets tracked into my house! NOT GOOD!

Jonathon is the best and I only want him to treat our lawn. He takes the time to explain the treatment to me and our lawn has never looked better. We had a different service a few years back and their chemicals fried our lawn. So grateful for Jonathon.

First time using in several years. Tired of how the lawn looks and want to be the best it can be. Adam is very professional and did a nice walk through explaining everything. Was very pleased with the service and now looking forward to a more healthy yard without all of the weeds. Thank you Adam for your attention to detail and helping to improve the yard

10/11/23 today Tyler was here and did the treatment. Very professional and the lawn is looking better since I started the program again and have listened to the advice of each tech about leaving the lawn longer. It is looking great. I had questions in regards to my tree and shrub coverage. I knew that a recent treatment had been done but didn't understand why one shrub had spots/ black areas on the leaves. TruGreen sent out a technician that checked the damage and explained what was going on / how the wet summer affected the problem and basically what to expect. He also retreated that particular shrub without charge. I really appreciated his knowledge and the manner in which he shared that knowledge.

Tree and shrubs. Noel is a Very nice gentleman. Unable to talk to Noel today. Have talked to him before. Appears to enjoy what he is doing.

TruGreen Review: Not Worth the Investment

I recently wrapped up a year of service with TruGreen, and unfortunately, I can't say it was worth it. Despite their claims of transforming my lawn, I ended up seeing little improvement compared to using a standard product like Scotts fertilizer.

Over the course of eight services, I continued to battle stubborn weeds that never seemed to fully disappear. Even after reaching out for additional treatments, the results were underwhelming. I had to request a reapplication of the overseed because I simply didn’t notice any difference. The whole experience felt like I was throwing money down the drain.

On top of that, canceling the service was an absolute nightmare. It felt like they didn’t take “no” for an answer. I had to decline offers and promotions more than ten times before they finally agreed to cancel my account. The aggressive sales tactics were frustrating and only added to my dissatisfaction with the overall service.

If you're considering TruGreen, I’d suggest sticking with DIY solutions like Scotts fertilizer instead. You’ll likely achieve similar, if not better, results without the hassle and expense.

They are without a doubt the worst lawn care company. On the first and only application that I received from them this year they canceled on me twice and never bothered to reschedule.I had to call them back after a month went by and many weeds ago 4/22. Then I never got another treatment.When I called to see why they have not been coming out, I was told they did forget me because of a glitch in the system. But I was told it was my fault for not calling them sooner.You never see the same person twice and half the time they complain they don't have the the right equipment to do the job or forget to do part of your lawn.

Noel from TRUGREEN is an outstanding individual. He is very personable and answers any questions we have in a positive and knowledgable manner. He is a credit to himself and his company.
I hope he continues to service our place for the future

You think customer service is about filling out these surveys....IT NOT.. is about understanding customer needs and thinking outside the box to complete the needs since the customer has paid $575.60 and the customer is ALWAYS right...no matter what you think.....,I have 60 days to get this lawn looking GREEN.The water is NOT draining into the lawn but is in the sidewalk. The few bare spots need some seed...I am not a happy customer,.
