Hurlburt Heating & Plumbing

This is my second interaction with Hurlburt. I loved that each time I was able to speak with someone and get a technician out same day to look at my issue. I also like the ability to be able to schedule an appointment online. The technicians were nice and professional and helpful.

My main issue is price. With it being so close to Christmas I was anxious to get my heating fixed so I went ahead and moved forward with the fix the technician recommended. I had a suspicion I was being charged a pretty steep rate so after the technician left I called another local company with the same model/serial number and part replacement and their quote was almost $500 less expensive (nearly half the price). No knock on the technician as he was up front with the cost and likely just quoting the standard price. And I did agree to pay it. They were transparent and the issue does seem to be fixed, but going forward I might look for a more price competitive company.

These guys are awesome. On their annual inspection they discovered my furnace was leaking carbon monoxide into the house. I had no idea! Within a few days I had a new furnace and all went great. Mike Anderson did the inspection and possibly save us from a tragic outcome. David Bryant and his team did a great job on the replacement. Prompt, courteous and professional. I only gave them 5 stars because there was not a 6 star option. Thanks Hurlburt for a job well done.

I recently used Hurlburt’s plumbing services for the first time and could not be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, efficiency, and care.

They were able to send a plumber out quickly, and I was fortunate to work with Tim, who I highly recommend. Tim was exceptional—he took the time to clearly explain the issues and solutions in a way I could understand, demonstrated deep knowledge of his craft, and went above and beyond to ensure the work was done thoroughly and correctly.

One example of Tim’s initiative: when the city came to shut off water at the curb, it wasn’t completely turned off. Rather than delaying the job and waiting for the city to return, Tim took it upon himself to address the issue—and succeeded—saving both time and hassle.

He completed a range of plumbing repairs for me, including:

Fixing a leak in the main water service valve
Repairing a laundry room sink leak
Installing a new outdoor water spigot
Fixing a leaky toilet (which was especially tricky due to the age of the home)
The toilet repair really stood out. Rather than using a standard wax ring that wasn’t quite right for the higher flange setup, Tim went out of his way to get the correct thinner ring from a supply house—taking the time to get the right part, not just the convenient one. He even sent me a quick text update while I was in a meeting so I knew where he was and what he was doing—just another example of his professionalism and communication.

Because of the positive experience I had with Tim, I chose to enroll in Hurlburt’s membership plan. I feel confident that they employ skilled, conscientious technicians, and I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with that. Pricing was also very reasonable, especially compared to other companies I’ve used in the past where I felt the quality and value didn’t match the cost.

Hurlburt exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be using them again for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services.
