Curt and his team were excellent. From the quoting process, to communication, to the utility marking, they were true professionals. I love working with local companies as often as I can and they were top notch. Ground the stumps, cleaned up the shavings, filled and seeded!

We had a large cottonwood go down over the street. The city took care of the part over the road but left a tall stump. We wanted the stump out and done correctly as it was adjacent to the sidewalk. Children use this sidewalk to get to school. The hollow stump was too intriguing, and we wanted that it was safe. After talking to a few companies, I knew Marty's was the team for us. Professional while treating us as part of the process. Their work was done precisely, and their teamwork was evident. We watched the entire process. Their work was higher than our expectations. Terrible. Our yard was tore up, plants died immediately after they were planted, did not put down enough grass seed so weeds grew everywhere, even in the mulch they laid. They left our old landscaping rocks everywhere throughout the yard. After I complained they came back and stomped on the old rocks to dig them in the yard and appear to be gone, but of course they were not. The yard and driveway has dirt everywhere. Honestly, everything looks worse than before they came.

A friendly and honest company with excellent workers and high quality products. They overdelivered on hitting a due date when I asked them to expedite and the communication was always good.

I was very impressed with the crew that worked on our project. It turned out great and the crew was very friendly, conscientious and professional. They took great pride in their work and did whatever it took to ensure that the result was perfect.

They also took care to avoid destroying the surrounding area and ensure that everything was cleaned up and gutters etc. we're in place in case it rained while they were gone from day to day.

Architectural Landscape Design was a pleasure to work with. They answered all our questions during the design phase graciously, and they were very clear concerning what our options were within our budget and what we could do if we increased or decreased that budget.
I also loved the fact that they give you a whole design around your property so you can see how your project could tie into other parts of your landscape as well as what you could do next.
More importantly, our paver patio turned out beautiful. Just gorgeous. We've gotten nothing but compliments, and we have already gotten almost daily use out of it.
Last but not least, their customer service after the patio was done has been amazing. There were some minor concerns we had, and they came out and fixed them with no hassle at all.

I strongly recommend Architectural Landscape Design, and if we ever want to hire out any more landscape work, we'll definitely be giving them a call.

I used a different landscape company in the past. Found ALD last year for a patio install. Five stars then. Had ALD come back this spring for the next step of our overall plan. Very, very happy with the result. Five stars now. They will always be our choice for future work.

I’m pretty surprised by the terrible work alds did at my house. It’s certainly not what I expected based on reviews or pictures I saw prior. I had a good initial meeting with them. The job I contracted with them was a pretty straightforward installation of catch basins and some pvc/corrugated pipe for drainage. They promised plans but never delivered any other than verbal discussion. The laborers that came here were disgruntled and unsupervised. I didn’t get the impression they had a good plan and they seemed to just play it all by ear making it all up as they went along. The job was “completed” but the catch basins were installed incorrectly with no gravel sub-structure under them and too close to the house causing more drainage problems and probably a complete need to rework them. They used mismatched catch basins with no rhyme or reason regarding expected water flow. These basins are now mobile due to the lack of gravel underneath. These problems were not corrected despite my bringing it to their attention repeatedly. They seemed to lack a basic understanding of catch basin installation. My lawn was damaged which they tried to correct but several problems were never corrected despite many conversations. I have water in my basement now, which was not there before. Now, 9 months later when the plants are returning, I can see the additional damage - plants were not managed the way the contract states and some died and were not replaced. One of my trees root structure was likely damaged and is now showing signs of a slow death. All pretty much a disaster.

Great job done by Architectual Landscape Design. Very professional. Highly recommend them for your project. I hired them to build my deck and patio in 2024. It was all done within a week.

We used ALD to design our new paver patio and limestone boulder retaining wall. We are thrilled with the results! What had been an eyesore (30 year-old railroad ties) has now become the focal point of our backyard. The construction crew was a group of very professional, dedicated, and hard-working individuals. Laura's design with Dave and company's execution brought forth a stunning hardscape.

ALD is a highly professional organization. They kept me in the loop as my deck project progressed. I am very pleased with the end result. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for their services.

We set up an appointment, including a lengthy survey and 2 hours before they were supposed to be here, they called and told us they didn't think they could "meet our deadline" (keep in mind, they had not met us to even figure out what we needed done). They said they had given people quotes last fall that "might" bump our project so they could not guarantee a completion date in June (I am writing this on April 14th). Again for emphasis, they didn't even know what we needed. We live in a small house and my guess is that they assumed our budget was small and they had bigger "potential" projects. My take on this is that if you don't live in a large house in a wealthy neighborhood, they will disqualify you. I wish they would have just been upfront. They wasted a bunch of our time.

Just to add a few notes to the owners response. At no time were we informed that they had signed contracts, the person said they were "quotes" not contracts. The "referral" was for sod only. At no point had we had a discussion on our needs, so they had no idea what size our project would be to figure out how long it would take. They cancelled 2 hours before the scheduled. They had our deadline info 2 days before the meeting.

This is a tough time to find reliable contractors that will show up.
