We worked with ALD to come up with a landscaping plan for a large portion of our property as well as a solution to a pooling water problem in our back yard. Their designer and landscape professionals worked to provide a beautiful and viable solution to meet our needs and we are so happy with the results. We now have a lovely landscaped area that we get to enjoy complete with well thought out tree, shrub and perennial plantings that even includes a lovely dry riverbed feature. The neighbors comment on our new landscaping too. Our water pooling problem was corrected with the installation of a French drain. We now have a healthy lawn where once it was constantly damp and mossy. We also had low-voltage lighting installed and are so happy with the results.Everything looks great so far. They will be coming out soon to check the health of all the plantings. We are very pleased.

I have used ALD for 3 projects over the last 10 years. I am extremely pleased with all the designs as well as the installation of all of the projects. The guys were eager and happy to be at work each morning. They always took time to clean up each afternoon so we never felt that we were living in too much of a “work zone”. I would definitely use ALD again.

Five Star Landscape Plan and Installation

We couldn't be happier with our experience with ALD. From our first meeting with Laura and Tony, to working with Mallory and the landscape crew, everyone was high service with exceptional attention to detail. The crew had to work around a difficult situation with a newly installed driveway, and did it with a great attitude. ALD excels at great communication and integrity. They are friendly and do excellent work. Laura is a great landscape designer, and did a fantastic job making our front yard landscaping an extension of the rest of our home. She is a good listener and incorporated our preferences into her plan. She's got a sharp eye for design and a strong understanding of plants and where they will thrive.

We highly recommend ALD--a high level of service, frequent communication, excellent follow-up with a great end product.

ALD replaced our 20+ year old deck with a new, considerably larger one. We love everything about our new outdoor space constructed with Trex decking, an aluminum rail and a Trex “drink rail”. ALD did a great job helping us with the design details, steering us in the right direction with some of our choices. There were a couple minor issues along the way, to be expected, and the staff at ALD handled it all great, from the staff in the office, to the on-site crew, to the project manager. Top notch work and top notch people! Thanks Mallory, Laura, Tony, Derek and everyone else that turned our vision into a reality.

This has truly been a 5 star experience . We just completed year 1 of a 2 year major landscaping project and could not be more pleased with the experience and outcome working with Architectural Landscape Design. From the very beginning (last November) Laura and Tony were great to work with, responsive and a natural eye for design. Equally the crew was AWESOME in particular Eric was great, he was very willing to listen to questions or concerns address them as well as provided some great suggestions. We are enjoying what has been completed this year and are excited about next year. As I have heard Laura say on more than one occasion their goal is to be your landscaping company for life and while we may not always have major projects we definitely plan to use them for any future needs. This company was recommended by a friend and without question I will not only recommend to people, but gladly be a reference to any prospective clients.

ALD is just the best! Our townhome association used Laura, Tony, and their crews to design and implement an extensive multi-phase drainage, regrading, irrigation, privacy screening, and landscaping project. They are talented, creative problem-solvers who are professional, detail-oriented, mindful of resources, and fun to work with. They did more than we expected, kept to the agreed upon schedule, informed us of progress and challenges regularly, and caused minimal disruption as they worked. They deserve six stars!

From the initial planning stages right through to the scheduling and completion of the work and final walk through, the ALD team is easy to work with and communications are regular and timely.

They were very professional and created a beautiful design for our patio and deck. The results were amazing and we absolutely love how it all turned out! We have received numerous compliments on our patio and deck and wouldn't hesitate to use their company again or refer them to our friends and family!

Just completed phase 1 (front step and landscaping) of a 2-3 year project. From the beginning, Tony and Laura were very pleasant to work with! Even before we made the decision to move forward with them, Tony had met with us a couple of times and was very informative and no pressure, which made the decision even easier. Everyone was very thorough and made sure every attention to detail was taken.
After our front slab was broken up and taken out (it was sunken and leaning towards the house), it was discovered that our rim board and foundation boards were rotted and needed to be replaced. Not only do they have a carpenter on staff and were able to fix it, but they were able to do it right away and not delay the project. I have to believe the majority of landscaping companies wouldn't have touched it. Once that was all complete, we did a walk through and Jeremy was very thorough and even found a couple of minor things that were overlooked and they came back and took care of it right away! Every staff member I've spoken with has been pleasant and courteous. We have received many compliments from neighbors and it definitely makes our house stand out...we couldn't be more satisfied! We cannot wait to continue the project next summer!

ALD (Architectural Landscape Design) designed and installed a new deck on our home. I’m writing this review because we were WOW ‘d upon completion! Their design and suggestions of deck materials and railing options were spot on and beautiful beyond what we could ever have envisioned! A special shout out to the harmony of the work crew; Tom, AJ, Tyler, Tony and Deb. The friendliest most fun-loving crew we have ever had the pleasure of hiring! Yes, We highly recommend ALD for any work you need done.

Working with ALD was a wonderful experience! From beginning to end, all the items I shared with the ALD team for a successful project and partnership were met! The entire team was friendly and helpful and listened to our needs in designing a truly unique landscape. They were fantastic and the customer service was excellent! Our front yard looks BEAUTIFUL! I wanted a Northwoods/Lake Superior feel and it turned out just as I had imagined!! We have gotten compliments for our neighbors and they have commented on the MN North Shore vibe. Working with ALD was easy and stress free. They were very thorough on the initial walk through, giving us many different options and ideas. When they were out doing the project, they didn't leave until they found our root cause for our water issue. We will definitely be using them for future projects, and would recommend them to all our family and friends. We couldn't have been happier with them.

It has been a great experience working with ALD, from the initial design to the finished product. We are absolutely thrilled with our new landscaping! ALD went above and beyond to create a stunning showcase of our home, even suggesting changes that had not occurred to us. Every time I’m in my yard- and I am NOT over exaggerating- a passerby compliments me on the transformation. They took care of every aspect of the change; design of the hard scape including new deck, boulders, pavers and driveway and of course the plants and finally the lighting. We had many, MANY conference calls and updates- Laura was incredible and so patient while we made changes and asked questions. Mallory made excellent plant choices and helped us in their care. To say that we are pleased with ALD and the work they did on our new deck and landscaping would be an understatement! It surpasses what we even thought possible for our small front yard.
