We had a great experience working with James and Urban Design Company on our new deck. We had a useless space off our back door that UDC was able to bring back to life. They were very efficient in getting everything done - took less than a week from start to finish to complete our 15x13ft deck. We used composite decking, which we love the low-maintenance of - and they made it seamless, which is awesome. They were very diligent in working with the city of St. Paul, too, which can be slow to respond sometimes :) Fair pricing, too. Overall, would highly recommend them for your project!

I cannot say enough positive things about Urban Design Company and the incredible paver patio they completed in my backyard this fall. This was hands down one of the smoothest, most valuable projects we've undertaken to improve our home.
From the beginning, James, our project manager, was great! His initial bid was fair and thoroughly itemized, so I could see exactly where every dollar was going. But what really impressed me was his dedication to finding ways to trim costs throughout the process. I actually watched certain line items disappear from the final cost as he discovered better approaches! All without sacrificing an ounce of quality. The project came in slightly under budget, which is almost unheard of in my experience with home improvement.

James's crew was exceptional. Not only were they extremely conscientious about protecting our yard and respecting our space, but they were genuinely nice, personable guys who made the whole experience enjoyable. The project was completed exactly within the quoted timeframe with absolutely zero unexpected issues. Having done many home projects over the years, I can honestly say this was the first contractor experience where nothing went wrong. Everything was thoughtfully planned from day one and executed flawlessly.

The quality of the work is absolutely amazing. We went from a sad little DIY paver area to a stunning outdoor living space that has completely transformed how we use our backyard. The value and enjoyment this has added to our home cannot be overstated.

Apex has taken care of all of our landscaping needs and our snow removal. Especially this last winter with the 3rd snowiest winter in Minesota history.

I needed a Fall cleanup and the Apex crew did a gret job. I highly recomeend Apex to anyone for lawn and landscaping work.

They came fix and set up the sprinkler 10,000 gallon a night !!! After a week City had to come and told us check it. Never again !!!
They cause the leak for the 1st time visiting, and come back to fix it again and still over charge us !!
They over charge the equipment when they fix it.
Not happy at all !!!

If I did my job the way this company does their job here in the Cobblestone Lake neighborhood, I would have been fired! They are sloppy and do not know how to mow without leaving large clumps of long grass everywhere. They are terrible at maintaining the irrigation system, and every spring, their winter flags are all over the neighborhood. Their toxic weed killer does nothing! If you’re going to poison us, you might as well use something that will work. I hope the HOA does not renew their contract!

Worst company ever for snowplowing. I'm in a community of 222 townhomes and they come in here with a little Cat with a blade on it. Not even a truck with a plow. The roads get narrower every time they plow because they're afraid or too lazy to push the snow a little farther down the road to open areas. I don't know how a company can operate this way. Their mowing and clean-up are less than desirable also. Wish I could have given them a 0 because 1 sounds like too much.
