I never left a review before, but I decided to make an exception due to their terrible service. I had to shovel snow more than 30 minutes per day 3 days in a row after their work. They never clear the snow in our driveway, and didn't show up until 11:30 AM. I wish our community didn't choose this company...

They did a great job planting new bushes along the side of our house. Came on time, did a great job, and cleaned up nicely before they left! Will definitely use them again!

Larry and his team are absolutely amazing and are some of the best in the commercial property maintenance space. We have work we them on many HOA and multi family housing projects and are always impressed with there skills and professionalism.

This company is the prime definition of I found someone cheaper. Absolutely terrible service. They blow all the grass clippings towards the mulch and rock flower beds and don’t care one bit. They don’t clean up. They are slobs. Absolutely embarrassing company.

Apex Outdoor Inc has proven to be a valuable vendor. My career positioned me to work with and review many vendors, having a few decades experience in contractor comparisons. The service from Apex continues to be successful and beneficial to the residents at the locations they provide service.

No idea why our association went with this company, I live in a 200+ unit complex and they don’t show up to mow for weeks. Leaf removal was a joke - they just blew leaves under neighbors decks and into woody common areas. As for snow removal- what a bigger joke. They don’t show up until days after the snow stops and only send 1 guy with a little skid steer. Haven’t seen any shovelers at all, the only sidewalks cleared have been done by residents. If you association is looking at this company beg them to look elsewhere!

Apex provided great communication and attention to detail for our patio project, very pleased with their work.

Our board gave the lawn care and snow removal contract to Apex this year and the service SUCKS. They don't have the equipment or manpower to handle our development. We are in Birnamwood which has 234 units. We are on day 3 of the last snow event and they are finally out here. No snow blowers, one lone guy shoveling our sidewalks. REALLY?!?!

Absolutely terrible. Sloppy work. Very delayed plowing if they show up at all. PLEASE consider looking at other companies before hiring this one. Feels like a complete waste of money and not receiving services paid for. - UPDATE: I’m not sure what community the owner thinks I belong to but that email is not anything to do with where I live. My area was NOT plowed 3 times during that particular storm. I have had additional issues since as well. Still less than impressed.

On April 1 of this year I got stuck in the middle of my unplowed road and was feeling like an April Fool. Many cars AND the plow drove past me or around me but then Larry Lillie drove past in his Apex truck and stopped. He'd been stuck himself and I know he had to be busy with all the snow we got but he stopped to help me. He had everything needed to get me out and on my way. I've never used Apex as a customer but I've experienced their competence, professionalism, and kindness and I'd recommend them to anybody!

Our management company has used Apex for years for multiple associations. They have done it all for us. Management and workers are always polite and work hard. They answer my calls day and night. While everything might not always be perfect, they always make it right. Thats whats is important to us.This winter has been horrible for everyone, but more so for these guys. They work endless hours in the cold, with no appreciation. People forget their manners when the snow flies. We truly appreciate all the hard work they have done for us and all of our associations. All of you that think you can do a better job should give it a try. We will stick with Apex..

    Update
So it is 2024 and our home association still uses this under-performing vendor for some unknown reason. We have had one snow this winter, less than three inches, they are supposed to shovel our walk, it is Thursday 7 days after this "snow event" and still our walks are not cleared. These folks were on a list to get bids from for three different commercial parking we have and I crossed them off and did not get a bid and will follow though with the same strategy next year. I have no control over our HOA but I do for for business and as long as I do they will never be allowed to quote. Even if they are less money they are more expensive because of the service provided.

This is 2022/2023 service comments below
And as you can see the owners response below on my review they of course blame us for being stupid in our understanding of how snow should be removed. They are pathetic.

When they make an agreement and sign a contract, I am sure they say, "We are the best", but then when you discover they are not the best they make excuses because it snowed to much, or where are we supposed to to it.

"Minor difficulties". I was stuck in my home for , 24 hours after the snow stopped on Thursday morning on the February snow storm. We got plowed at 4 pm on Friday. The review below was written about the horrible service all of 2022/2023 snow season. This is being written because of the retort they offered.

Pathetic, and to start with the excuses is just par it would seem. Please do not respond and embarrass your self again.

The picture shows how "accessible' is was to get out of my driveway. 16 hours after the snow stopped on the 24th of Feb

Our HOA uses them for snow now in our second year. They are the worst. I have decided to never call them based on these reviews and my own experience from my HOA. I was asked to find snow removal for the business I work for, large parking lot for employees and a large semi unloading dock area and I thought about calling them but after my personal experience I decided that these folks are not worthy of new business let alone what they have now. They must not care because the have no responses to these negative horrible reviews.

I called in on Sept 5 at 3:40 PM and set up the schedule to do the irrigation blow out service for October 6 from morning to noon. I submitted my credit card information in the phone. And was confirmed all is good. No one show up today October 6 and our people took a day off just for this. Can't believe. I called in and a lady put me in for next Thursday from 9 to 5. Really don't know how a business can operate and survive with such unprofessional customer service. Super disappointed and wasted so many people time.

I have used Apex for sprinkler maintenance and repairs for the last few years and they have been great. Customer service and price are both 5 stars.

Let me begin with this: I have lived in snow my entire life. I understand that it’s hard to clear a lot of snowfall, but there are some logistics involved when it comes to what to prioritize and it’s unacceptable to go two full days with no road access. I watched these guys spend a few hours completely clearing one side of a neighborhood, driveway and all, while leaving the other side in almost a foot of snow for almost two days. Not to mention, the side that was cleared was stopped partway through. No joke, a clear line where one driveway was clear and the other was untouched. My husband tracked down a worker to ask where the bobcats were, and the worker told him that he didn’t know and was driving around looking for the employee??? How can I keep better track of middle schoolers better than these guys can keep track of their adult employees? Once we went two full days not having clear roadways or driveways, what has been plowed is the messiest job I could imagine. Hydrants covered, brick on houses damaged. I’ve had neighbors from middle of nowhere plow better for $20 a plow. Thanks for turning all of our streets into one ways I guess.

Use them for snow removal for years. Have had above and beyond work done. Just asked them the clear the driveway with 5"+ and not to shovel my front step." Never use the front door". But around 3" of snow, they cleared it all.. Also had some low laying branches trimmed by them. Highly recommend. Thank you for your hard work and super long hours of plowing snow to take care of my single family driveway.

Apex Snow Removal consistently delivers outstanding service. Their ongoing commitment to prompt and thorough snow removal sets them apart. I appreciate their reliability, professionalism, and the peace of mind they bring during the winter months. A solid five-star choice for ongoing snow management!

Apex Outdoor has helped us for 15+ years. Lawn and garden, snow removal, ramps for ease of access and many other services. They are very responsive and their staff is through, responsive and courteous. Apex does things that we appreciate like timely snow removal during and after snow storms including cleaning up the driveway when the city snowplows have cleared the streets and left a lot of snow to clear. During lawn mowing season, If it’s been dry, and the lawn doesn’t need mowing they skip a week which helps the lawn. Each year other services try to get our business with lower prices but Apex is our service year after year.

We have been using Apex for a few years for all our outdoor services. When it snows they are there to plow and shovel our driveway and walk way on time and always keeping it clean. YES there are times when it snows more than normal that it will take a little longer but that is expected, more snow means more work and that takes time. Never a complaint. Jordan and Alex are always on top of things. Not only does Apex do our house they also take care or out auto repair shop. Great company. We recommend them to all our friends and our customers who are looking for a professorial company to take care of there property's.

Very unreliable service, disappointed. We were scheduled for a fall cleanup at our home last year and they NEVER showed up! NO apology, NO explanation. This spring, another landscaping company came and put new mulch in both front and back yards, and cleared all the leaves. In July I received a "past due" bill from Apex. According to their GPS records, Apex claimed that a crew had been there. We had seen the other landscaping company's workers at our home, but there was never a sign of the Apex crew showing up. Apex has many HOA accounts and as a private residential client, we did not feel valued.
