We really like our new solar system supplied by All Energy Solar - our system turned on during its first power outage yesterday and we didn't even know that power had been lost!

    Pros:
All Energy Solar has excellent crews that install the solar panels and upgrade electrical service. We were especially impressed with our lead electrician and the job he did converting all of our circuits to new breakers and panels. The rest of the crew did a great job also – they were very careful with our new roof and were clearly safety-conscious. The installation looks very clean – a result, no doubt, of the crew’s precision and attention to detail.

Our project manager was dedicated to making sure we always had information about the status of our system. He could always be reached by mail or phone and was very responsive to our questions and concerns.

    Cons:
Demand for solar was so much higher than available people that there were frustratingly long queues that delayed our installation. These queues were everywhere - at Xcel, at All Energy Solar, and at government bodies issuing permits and doing inspections. All Energy Solar seems to mitigate its queues by making the company an attractive place to work, which helps them recruit and retain good people.

Of all the companies we talked to, they had the most sophisticated projections for how much solar energy we could collect and how to maximize output with panel placement. Jacob in particular is stellar - very knowledgeable and communicative.

I recently completed my second solar project with All Energy Solar. I had All Energy Solar install 58 solar panels on my business 7 years ago and the process was smooth and hassle free. That system is still working like new. I recently bought a new house and installed 40 panels on my roof. Once again, All Energy Solar did a fantastic job. The work was done in a timely manner and I received routine status emails throughout the process. I always knew exactly what was going on and what was going to happen next. I couldn't be happier! Thank you to the All Energy Solar Team!

THREE OR FOUR years ago I started looking into getting solar panels for my home in south Minneapolis. Even with subsidies it didn't make economic sense to me at the time, plus I was concerned about the quality of my roof, as it was about halfway through its projected lifetime. No one wants to install solar panels, only to re-install them when an old roof fails.

Despite that fact I went through the process of collecting bids and proposals. I was surprised at the time by the wide variety in quality of communications provided by the bidders. I was impressed, though, by the professionalism shown by the All Energy Solar rep, and his willingness to talk about something that at the time was just a proposed project. The relative age of AES also worked in their favor, as most of its competitors were relatively new to the field. This is important because most, including AES, offer generous warranties.

Fast forward to August 2023, and a rather severe hail storm had passed over the area that ended with new roofs for most of the houses in the neighborhood, including mine. Once the new roof was in I decided in January of 2024 to once again look into solar. You never know about the economics of this fast moving field.

The prices for the projects had gone up marginally, but there appeared to be new subsidy programs that looked promising. Over the ensuing six months or so AES and myself went through a detailed process to see how adding solar might work out for me. At times I suggested avenues, and at times they brought new information and expertise to the table.

Once everything fell into place I was shortly placed on the construction schedule and the day soon came for the work to be done. It was interesting watching the small AES crew do their work. One thing I immediately noticed was how they had meticulously planned out the project, and how when they got here they spent a good deal of time evaluating the project on site.

Another thing that stood out to me was their attention to safety. A couple guys spent a good two or three hours on my roof just getting it ready to work up there, including installing secure cleats (which they left, thank you!)

Three days later the construction was done, tested and working. A few weeks later the building & electrical inspectors approved the project, and a few weeks after that an Xcel tech came out to meet the AES electrician to do a final test and turn the system on. Throughout all that I didn't have to contact any of these people, and my AES contacts kept me fully up to date.

Today my system is up and producing electricity, and I can monitor its performance through a browser-based interface. I couldn't be happier with the process, team and performance of AES. I would wholeheartedly recommend them for your project. Oh, and I just saw in the news that Xcel is planning to raise electric rates, so I got this up and running just in time ;)

I'm so glad that we went with All Energy Solar. Communication from the very beginning was excellent and the installers were all very professional and efficient. Overall cost was better than some competitors. I'm excited to see the savings in utility costs not to mention the positive impact on the environment. I highly recommend this company.

Just had my solar system installed during a snow storm and below zero temperatures. The crew consisting of Joseph, Alex, Sam and Hayden showed up early, stayed late and worked hard. They were friendly, respectful of my home and family and great people to talk to. Would recommend 10/10.

We just had our close-out meeting after installation of 20 solar panels and a battery at our home in Eagan. I can't say enough good things about the crew at All Energy Solar. Charles Mollenkamp did a terrific job walking us through the project ahead of time so we had reasonable expectations. The designers, electricians, and other installation crew were terrific - very courteous, safety-conscious, and innovative. Most of all, they all seemed to have a great deal of integrity. I would highly recommend them for your solar project. And be careful, because there are one or two very predatory solar companies out there.

I have had a great deal of work done to my house lately. The crew from All Energy was by for the most professional I have dealt with. They were polite and hard working. They always answered my questions, arrived when they said they would and finished early. The office staff have been polite & helpful and always have the time for a question. I highly recommend this company if you are thinking about going solar.

We had an excellent experience with All Energy Solar, and I can’t say enough about the crew that handled our installation. From start to finish, they were not only professional but also genuinely friendly and easy to work with. They always took time to answer questions and made sure we understood each step of the process, which really put us at ease.

What impressed us the most was how flexible and adaptable they were with changes in weather. They kept a positive attitude and adjusted their schedule as needed without ever making it feel like an inconvenience. That level of dedication really stood out.

The crew was also consistently polite and respectful of our home and property. They worked carefully, cleaned up after themselves, and treated our space as if it were their own. It’s clear they take pride not only in the technical quality of their work but also in the way they interact with homeowners.

At the end of the day, the system looks fantastic and we couldn’t be happier with the process. We feel very confident recommending All Energy Solar to anyone considering going solar, not just because of the panels themselves, but because of the outstanding people who make the installation experience so smooth.

All Energy Solar Review - December 2024

All Energy Solar installed 12 panels on my Desnoyer Park Saint Paul home in August of 2020. From planning to installation, the process went very smoothly. Production has been uninterrupted until recently, when we needed to replace a hail-damaged roof, so we contacted All Energy about removing the panels during the re-roofing project.

All Energy’s Remove/Reinstall Team 3 (Joe and John) were great at removing our array and reinstalling it when the roof was finished. Expectations and scheduling were clear. Communication with the company was regular and excellent. The crew was very friendly, considerate and efficient - in spite of some bitter winter winds and temperatures.

The All Energy Solar team was absolutely great to work with - and I recommend All Energy Solar to anyone considering going the solar route for their home.

All Energy Crew 4 professionally installed my 23 panel system on a multi roof in 2 days. They happily answered all our questions and took additional steps to minimize any damage to the new roof. The electrician did a very good job in adding the external boxes next the meter to make a very neat & pleasing setup. They did a great job!

Matt and his crew did a great job. The electrician Keith actually saved my house from a huge possible fire by being very thorough in his inspection / installation. We are very grateful for their hard work and attention to detail. The solar panels look great and we cannot wait to start using them. Thank you to the whole team.

Our church got a 50kW system installed. The marketing rep we worked with up front is very knowledgeable and was patient with us as we explored options for a year. The estimates for payback were conservative, not pie-in-the-sky. When we made our decision, our project manager kept us updated regularly. Since we have a daycare in the building, they worked hard to avoid disrupting nap times. The installation went smoothly. They handled the interfaces with Xcel and the city so we didn’t have to do much bureaucratic stuff. Good experience.

We had a great experience with All Energy Solar from start to finish. They began with a site visit with a drone fly-over of our property to verify that our property would provide a viable productive solar installation. Then next step was an on-site sales consultation with Dan Seaberg. He did a great job providing information about the company and providing multiple solar installation configuration options based on the findings of the assessment. We knew exactly what we wanted by the time we finished our meeting. We signed a contract which started the project. From this point, we began working with Sierra Thompson (Project Coordinator), and Annalise Dobbelstein (Residential Project Manager). They were awesome! They coordinated all of the scheduling, design, purchasing, city permits, utility permits, installation and system testing/commisioning. They both did an excellent job of keeping us informed of the project status and keeping the project moving forward despite the fact it was an especially busy year with many of us trying to beat the clock to take advantage of the tax credits before they expire at the end of the year. The installation crew was fantastic! They were very personable, professional and efficient. They completed our installation (28 solar panels) on our roof in 1.5 days. It looks great! There was also a significant amount of electrical work done by their electrician and it also looks great! The longest wait was for the utility company to schedule us to connect to grid. Jennifer Morrow from All Energy Solar performed the final testing of our system with the utility rep as the witness and we were officially on the grid producing solar power. Jennifer was very helpful getting us set up with the monitoring app and answering any questions we had. We are glad we went solar and glad we went with All Energy Solar! No second guessing!!
