Update: due to the continued serious electrical problems, we called Bates to explain what was going on and asked for a refund. They were quick to accommodate. Their customer service was pleasant to work with.

Had an issue with our fridge causing an arc when the braided metal water line touched the back of it. Ian came in, didn’t really answer any of my questions, said he “had no idea” why it was arcing, and didn’t test any of the other things I asked him about to see what the issue was. Said the water line was grounded (it isn’t), and suggested we get a non metal water line for the fridge. We did that, and we’re continuing to have electrical issues in the kitchen.

Bryan was great. Communicated everything about the issues he resolved and got the work done efficiently.

Ian did a wonderful job! He was very informative and explained everything very well.

I could not be happier with the work Charlie did replacing my sub-panel. He was on time and had all the materials and tools he needed. He explained the process and gave me the opportunity to determine which appliances, outlets, etc would be effected while the panel was offline. After the install, Charlie did a detailed breaker by breaker check to ensure everything was restored and working properly and labeled the new panel accordingly. Charlie was personable, professional, and technically excellent! Kudos Charlie!

Bates electricians, Ian and Alex Henry, we’re here today doing an aluminum wiring rehab rehabilitation. They finished the outlets and the switches. I was very comfortable with both of them. They showed their expertise by explaining things to me that needed to be done, and worked productively at all times, but we were able to converse also. I will certainly use Bates Electricity again.

Had a great experience with Bates Electric. Joe O. showed up promptly and was very courteous. He took the time to show me what was wrong with my panel and he worked quickly to get everything in order. He had to move a shelf out of the way to gain easy access and he put everything back the way he found it when he was finished.

Corbin did an amazing job! He was courteous, friendly and diagnosed our electrical issue within about 10 minutes of arriving. He was so helpful that he kindly checked out another issue unrelated to the service call and resolved it as well! He went above and beyond, I would definitely request Corbin the next time we call Bates (and we will use Bates in the future for our electrical needs)!
