I can't say enough about the great crew that updated our landscape. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Unbelievable fast despite rain delays. Highly recommend Poynter for any size job.

Every project Poynter has done for use is top quality! I'd give more than five stars if I could, they are that good. Bob Lovatto and his team did a great job of planning all the landscaping for our house and carrying it in phases. This year they remulched everything, and even such a simple job was carried out with professionalism and delivered stunning results. I can't get over the beauty they had added to our everyday lives and the value they've added to our property.

This is our second year working with them and I am really appreciative of them. We can take a while to make decisions, but Michelle, Julia and Julie have been nothing but kind and professional. They have actively worked with us to figure things out and that's been so helpful. This year, we *finally* decided to turn our mulch into rock beds. Not a cheap expense, but it feels like it was absolutely worth it. My husband has wanted it for years and is happy, and *I'm* happy with how nicely it was done. I feel like they went above and beyond to make the spaces nice, including the fact that I don't think they just dump the rocks - it looks like they took the effort to make and place them in ways that are aesthetically pleasing and my OCD brain is able to be at rest. The crews have all been great: the office staff, the spring (and fall) clean ups crews, the guys who come to mow, and this group who did the rocks - they've been so nice and hardworking, I'm very thankful for all their efforts and hard work.

We had a new home and the builder changed the sidewalk design next to our house raising the elevation above our home and causing water to pool next to our house. The solutions offered by the builder were minimal, not aesthetically pleasing nor effective. We contacted Poynter to assist us and at the same time we had them master plan our yard... WOW! They did a great job solving our drainage issue, providing privacy form the sidewalk and making it fit within the bigger plan our yard.

We recently had to replace some junipers due to the early spring and freeze... Poynter responded immediately, replaced the junipers, checked the health of the other junipers in the area, cleaned up and re-mulched the area. Again WOW! great service, wonderful design, reasonable price. We are very happy with Poynter!

Poynter was fantastic from the start. We chose them because of Bob Wilhelm in particular. Bob is extremely skilled at outdoor design, including in-ground pool construction, hardscaping and landscaping. From the start, we knew we could trust him and his ideas completely. Ours was a big project outdoor construction plan, that is now wonderfully completed. Bob and his team followed through on all of the tiny details. We could not be any more happy with Poynter and the quality of their work. We will absolutely use them again in the future for updates and additions. We recommend them strongly and without reservations.

I contacted Margaret Cartaya at Poynter Landscaping. She came to our house on May 14th to give us an estimate on work we need. She said she would have an estimate early next week. Well, it’s June 2nd and I still don’t have an estimate for work. She emailed me a little over a week ago after I inquired about it and she emailed me back and apologized for the delay saying promised me an estimate last Monday. Still no estimate !! Look I get it’s a busy time but this totally unprofessional not to come up with an estimate in a reasonable time frame. 🤦🏻‍♂️

We hired Poynter for landscaping and pool design for new construction. Bob Wilhelm was the designer and main contact during construction. Bob and his team put together a nice layout detailing plants, walkways, lighting, pool design, fencing, irrigation, driveway and location of a pool house (they did much more but these were the big items). Bob also introduced us to an architect that designed the exterior elements for construction of a large back deck, under deck space and the pool house. He took us to the landscaping supply yard to select the stone for retaining walls and accent areas, supervised the pool/spa construction (Pool Tron did a great job), and a custom stone gas fire pit. Poynter was on-site for approximately 2 years (it was a big job!). The on-site crew was very professional and worked very well with the other contractors (there is much to be said about this). We had a few trees that were not looking healthy toward the end and without hesitation they replaced them. The final finish (besides sod and a few plants) was an amazing water feature in the front of the house. The attention to detail and continuous communication with us and the other contractors made for a positive experience (weather made it frustrating at times). Any changes we made along the way were handled favorably - some involved a credit, others a change order but every one was handled on a very fair basis. Poynter and all of their sub contractors performed at a level that exceeded our expectations.

Poynter Landscape just completed an extensive project for us in a timely and professional manner. From design to implementation we have been thrilled with the knowledge, professionalism and responsiveness of everyone who had a hand in the project. Bob Wilhelm created a beautiful design for us, keeping budget in mind, yet providing us with a backyard that we could not have envisioned on our own. Ed Albes and his team worked tirelessly to implement the plan and coordinate with the many subcontractors on the job. Even hindered by the unusually rainy weather, the complications due to COVID, and several changes requested on our part, they completed the project in a timely fashion. Now working with Michelle’s staff, we are provided with very knowledgeable and professional assistance to maintain the beauty of the finished project. Aside from the knowledge and professionalism one would expect from the company, all Poynter personnel have also been extremely friendly, flexible and courteous. I would recommend Poynter without hesitation.

I worked with Michelle at Poynter Landscape to help replace old and tired landscaping with a new, fresh look for our front beds and leveling and seeding our front yard. She listens, she suggests and her follow-through was beyond reproach. She is extremely responsive to my questions and emails. I always knew when the work was scheduled and every person that worked on our project was professional and thorough. We are working together again to add color with annuals. I couldn't be more pleased with Poynter Landscape and Michelle in particular! I would not hesitate to recommend her work.

To say we are pleased with our new patio by Poyner would be a massive understatement. We are absolutely ecstatic and couldn't possibly be happier. This new outdoor space dramatically expands our living space and also solves our only significant complaint about this property (our former water issues, now addressed). The design is wonderful and the quality of the Poynter team's work is absolutely top notch. Their work crews are extremely professional and we'd like to especially compliment BJ and Carlos on their leadership and attention to detail. We highly recommend Poynter for anyone looking to seriously upgrade their outdoor spaces.

Poynter Landscaping did a wonderful job with my new construction backyard landscape. The experience was fantastic from the proposal process through execution. Bob and Kayla did a fantastic job with the design; Chris and Rolando did an excellent job with the install and finalization. Poynter stayed on budget and on-time and went the extra mile to coordinate with my irrigation contractor to ensure that my overall project plan was implemented as expected. Bob was particularly excellent, in that he was extremely responsive and ensured all of my questions were answered. I would highly recommend Poynter Landscape and will work with them again.

I was so sad my big tree died but delighted by the bed they built in its place. The initial planning was great and allowed for my input. They completed the work in 3 days and left everything so much better than they found it. Everyone was professional and a pleasure to work with.

Poynter Landscape and designer and coordinator, Michelle have been flawless...great communication... always going above and beyond our expectations. I have recommended Poynter and particularly Michelle to several friends. It was a neighbor and friend who recommended Poynter to us...she and her husband had been with Poynter since the inception...and landscaped several of their homes! :) When I look out our windows, and we have a lot of them, I am just thrilled with all our gardens...they bring such pleasure and joy.

Our experience working with Poynter Landscape Architecture and Construction was exceptional! Everyone working for Poynter is extremely competent, knowledgable and nice. Communication was always very prompt and any problems were fixed promptly. We especially loved working with designer Heather Sheppard. Heather was very careful to create a plan that not only brought our vision to life, but did so within our budget. Our small, very blah city yard was transformed into a miniature haven complete with a large Meramec stone curvy concrete patio (to match an existing patio next to our garage), matching curving path, large paving stones and flower beds made up of Missouri natives and several medium size ornamental trees with a few carefully chosen Missouri boulders. We have flowers that provide color spring through fall with winter color provided by some carefully placed evergreen shrubs and winterberry bushes. Even though the garden is only a few months old, the plants are blooming and doubled in size. We receive compliments all the time. Incredible imagination, very interactive, excellent communications, extraordinarily professional. Despite very hot weather jumping into our path, Poynter worked seamlessly with me to deliver an entirely new landscape and garden design, palette and finished product. Our next project with be the "front" of our property now that the more challenging portion is complete. Cannot recommend more highly.

Poynter has helped us with a redesign when we bought our house and then with routine clean ups twice yearly. They have terrific ideas and worked with our budget. Crews arrive on time and the results are so great that I've decided to let them do all our beds and I'll just plant pots since their work looks so much better than what I can do. We contracted with Poynter in 2014 for a Bob Wilhelm unique design patio that included new trees and lighting. In 2015 they installed new landscaping throughout the property under the design guidance of Bob, who we think is the best in the business. In 2022 we had Bob design a running water feature that we and the birds enjoy. Poynter also installed a flagstone lower patio that has added to our enjoyment. The install crew is professional and do not finish until their customer is happy with the finished product.
Michelle and her crew have maintained our landscaping since 2015 and we enjoy the rainbow of colors they come up after listening to our ideas. If you want quality and a step above
throughout your property, you should consider the Poynter team!

In July 2023 we selected Poynter Landscape to design and complete our backyard patio. Josh Dubbs was our rep and provided an easy approach to the initial discussion, understanding our needs and vision for the design phase. We provided several examples of stones and ideas we had for the patio. Josh was effective recommending design ideas and stone selection that fit both our expectation and budget. Once the design was final, we were assigned a start date, project manager and dedicated team to complete our transformation. The project started on time and Mike McVey was an excellent PM. His attention to detail, sense of urgency and timely follow through helped us feel comfortable through the entire process. The team establishing the foundation and laying the stones were amazing. This team was timely every morning and stayed into the early evening to complete the phase of the project they were working on. Each one took pride in their stonework, the precision with measurements and most importantly addressing the water run off on the patio and lawn swells. Overall, we're extremely pleased with our investment and know the quality craftsmanship Poynter provided (and we expected) will bring years of enjoyment and peace of mind to our family. The initial experience with Bob was good, I liked the landscaping plan and it was well executed. The plant material has a 2 year warranty. Two years later I cannot get my two dead bushes replaced. I have called every day and am always told “very busy.” Two months later I give up. I guess the warranty is really good for only one year.

Poynter Landscape is the best! Heather and Neil were great at keeping us informed with updates and any changes due to weather. The crew, Carlos, Javier and Albeno were hard workers and did a great job. I highly recommend Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction!

We have used Poynter in our current and previous home since 2014. They performed complete design work and installation including hardscape, physical structures, lighting, decorative walls, etc.

The design work was far superior to others we explored. The quality of the work is first rate. They adhered to the schedule and budget while being incredibly flexible. For example, I wanted to purchase the landscape lighting fixtures and have Poynter do the installation. They happily accommodated us and charged only for the time to run the wire and make the connections.

Bob Wilhelm has been our point person since 2014 and is the best in the business. The installation crew was exacting, professional, fast and kept the work site organized and clean.

David was the crew chief and was the best we have worked with. He identified issues, made sound recommendations and worked well with his team and coordinating with other subcontractors (irrigation, pool, fencing, etc.).

Poynter will be back in the spring for additional trees.
