Our first visit to Happy's was pleasurable and enlightening. Nick was our sales person (personable, knowledgeable & attentive to our needs) answering all the questions we had including some we didn't have. My wife had to look at everything in the store letting her dreams and ideas
expand. The store itself was very clean, orderly and professional and Nick made us feel at home with no pressures at all. I would recommend Happy's to anyone looking for a deal.

I have used this company for over 20 years. I find them to be very professional, punctual and fair. It is very frustrating when an appliance breaks and sometimes you have to wait. I get that, but they do a good job trying to be expedient. I highly recommend their service.

I called Monday, and discussed TWO SPECIFIC COMPONENTS with your parts rep, but emphasized an obvious burnt capacitior or resistor (no colored marking bands) on the back of the control board due to a power surge. Instead of being informed that the control board was unobtainable, I scheduled a service call to confirm that the unit needed the control board replaced. Within a couple of minutes, the technician told me what I already suspected, but then called in to check for a control board, and was told in less than two minutes that control boards were unobtainable. $89.95 to tell me that I just spent $89.95 unnecessarily. I would have never scheduled a service call, if the parts desk had told me the parts were unobtainable in the first place.

I have contacted our property managers and instructed them to remove STLARG from our Preferred Vendor List, and not refer your company, until further notice.

My subzero 532 were down and my home insurance company sent four different contractor but none made a professional diagnosis measuring pressure , compressor etc, though a couple diagnosed it is relevant to the sealed system which none of them were qualified to repair. I finally had to identify an out-of-network contractor myself, called subzero and found out st. Louis appliance repair group is the only certified provider on the sealed system of subzero. They sent in a technician right away the next day even though it is Saturday. Mike, the technician came in on time Saturday morning, not talkative, but diagnosed my refrigerator professionally and concluded shortly and precisely on the failures. He was so patient to wait to talk to my home insurance company, providing all the details on part and labor estimate to the insurance company stuff. He stayed for more than 1-hour for the diagnosis and estimate and talking to the company. He also didn't push us to do the repair but was honest on the fact that the refrigerator is old and may not worth to repair it. He even recommended what brands of refrigerators in the $3000 range to buy (GE, whirlpool, Maytag). I really appreciated his great work and expertise.

I call St. Louis Appliance for all our various machines: SubZero refrigerator, Asko washer and dryer, and Bosch dishwasher. While not all the time, I like seeing the same knowledgeable repairmen over the years. I have never had to have any ‘rework’ (though parts are not always immediately available on the truck). And they are very communicative regarding time windows and giving a 30-minute heads’ up that they are on the way. Very reliable.

Nicest people work there, however, after three appointments (one time they didn't show and didn't call) my stove is still not repaired. Have at least 7 hours in waiting time for these folks. Their time is worth $XYZ dollars but mine is apparently worth nothing. Call elsewhere for your appliance repairs.

Not a good experience. Four visits still did not fix the problem Only a partial refund and wasted hours of my time and had to get another group to fix the problem.I should have learned my lesson first time thebice maker broke I used them took four visits then to fix but at least they eventually fixed it This time waste of time and money

My less than a year old dryer’s drying sensor (the knob selection) stopped working so dryer didn’t turn off - just kept drying clothes which was a big safety issue. The gentleman fixed the issue quickly and currently all works again.

I have had problems with the ice maker on my Whirlpool side by side for over a year. Bob from St. Louis Appliance Repair was finally able to diagnose the problem and went above and beyond to fix it. I can’t say enough about how persistent he was and would not quit until a very difficult job was finished.

I think that pricing for this company is out of touch. If you're thinking of having them do work for you be sure to get detailed pricing information before you schedule them for work. I called to them come look at my microwave, which had stopped working and was told that there would be a "trip charge" of $117.50. I called them back a couple of minutes later and asked them to install a couple of lights on the knobs of my stove. I had the light kits for the knobs, but the installation was beyond my expertise. They arrived on time and the technician, Danny, was professional, competent, and fixed both problems. BUT, the total bill was $447.72. The part for the microwave was $15.52, including tax. He was there for 2.5 hours, which works out to just over $179/hour. When I checked the bills, they charged a $117.50 "trip charge" for the microwave and another $75.00 "trip charge" for the oven. When I called to inquire why they charged two trip charges for one trip I was told that they charge a separate trip charge for each appliance, regardless of whether its one visit or not. That seems ridiculous to me. There was only 1 trip. Also, the "Technical Service" charges amounted to $239.60, or about $100/hour. When I asked about that I was told that they "don't charge by the hour" but by the type of work. I don't think that's a particularly good explanation either. I don't mind paying $100/hour for good workmanship. But, to add another $192.50 on top of that seems excessive. Bottom line, I suggest you get detailed pricing up front from these people.

They have been wonderful dealing with all of the appliances we have and great about getting work done under warranty.

We were having problems with our Speed Queen washer and dryer and needed to have them looked at and repaired. On day scheduled, we received a call confirming that the technician (Jarrod (sp?)) was on his way. He was on time, courteous, thorough and efficient. Our washer and dryer are back to normal.

St. Louis Appliance Repair was very quick to respond to our need with our dishwasher. They promptly came out, were extremely courteous and professional, identified the problem, ordered a part and returned as soon as the part had been received. They called us the day before with approximate time parameters of when the service person would visit and called when the service person was on the way with approximate time of travel to our home.

Original service call was on 9/16/21 for Bosch double oven. Repair required new boards for both ovens and took additional 2 weeks for new boards to be installed which was on 9/29/21. When I tried to use the oven on 9/30/21, oven would not register past preheat (which should have been checked at 9/29/21service call). I called St. Louis Appliance Repair on 9/30/21 and could not get another apointment until today, 10/06/21. Service tech determined that both boards were defective and would take another 9 days to get new boards. When I asked if the boards could be shipped overnight, I was told only at my expense. The cost of this repair was $652.00 and I tried to contact Dave Augberger, the owner, but after being on hold for 6 minutes, I was connected to his sister, Susan. I understand that the parts would be shipping from the west coast but I felt that, due to the time and expense already taken, that good customer service should prevail and St. Louis Appliance should incur the overnight shipping charges since it will be one month to complete repair and that is hoping the new parts will not be defective. Needless to say, I am very frustrated and disappointed that St. Louis Appliance is not concerned with quality cusomer service.

Charged me 10x the cost for a part. They replaced the part and still did not fix the issue. They wanted to change another part and keep the bill rolling so they could scam me out of more money. Zero transparency with their service or pricing. Done with them.

After reading reviews, I was reluctant to engage this company. However, my fears did not come to pass. I called SLAP and scheduled a service call. 5 minutes later, SLAP called back. I moved up 1 day - apparently someone canceled. I had 3 problems at the house. A Wolf 60" Dual Fuel right oven that would not heat as quickly as the left, or maintain temp. A Wolf hood that did not exhaust properly. And a Subzero 424 Wine Refrig that was not cooling properly. Oven problem turned out to be that the oven element was not connected. Wolf uses 2 elements, broiler and oven, while heating, then switches to oven element for baking. (NEVER COOK WHILE WARMING YOUR OVEN OR YOU WILL BROIL YOUR FOOD.) This is why the oven wouldn't hold temp. The internal dampers on the hood were subject to binding because of two screws installed by a (non-Wolf) contractor who installed the hood. Solution involved crawling through the attic. I provided attic access and light. A critter screen was binding an external damper. I provided a ladder for roof access. The 424 was diagnosed as having a bad sealed system ($1800-2200) or a bad control board ($1200-1500), but the technician wasn't sure because the problem wasn't occurring at the time. I received a 30 day warranty on the service call but decided to junk the 424 (I had paid $500 for it on eBay 5 years ago) and to get a replacement unit. Updated as of December 21, 2020. Had technician Steve stop by during the pandemic to check out the replacement (used) Subzero 424 which malfunctioned in the top section. Arrived with mask. Was courteous. Quickly diagnosed the problem - a bad thermistor (temperature sensor). Replaced it in timely fashion. 5 *****

Showed up in time! Great customer service! The tech was very friendly and professional! All in all a great experience!

Terrible customer service. They took my money IN FULL for my repair over 5 months ago and still have yet to fix my appliance or contact me. They lied to me about the part being on back order when the distributor said they shipped the part to them months ago. No one has ever called to alert me that there was a delay. This was the WORST customer service I've ever had. I would seriously consider using another company.

They came out to fix my “newly installed” dishwasher that apparently wasn’t done quite right. Although I wish they had been able to get me in earlier, it was still workable. They did call me when they had a cancellation but it didn’t work on my end. Would call them again, but hope I don’t need to and will recommend.

I would not recommend this company. Very disappointed in the service or lack of service provided by St Louis Appliance Repair Group. I had a dishwasher that was not pumping water out completely at the end of the wash cycle. Called and scheduled to have them come out to determine the issue. The repair person Zack indicated the drain pump was the issue. I questioned the service rep while he was here as the motor was running but not discharging all the water. He stated the pump was just spinning too slow to get all the water out. I ordered the pump and installed the new pump and was still having the same problem. I did additional research on my own and replaced the check valve in the dishwasher discharge hose. Problem solved! Put the old pump back on and its been working perfectly ever since. I called Susan at St louis Appliance repair group to let her know what had taken place and I felt like I should have been provided a partial refund for the service fee. Susan declined to provide any refund. I was not even asking or expecting a full refund but they completely denied any refund. This is terrible customer service and would not recommend this company.
