They had to reschedule several times - why I deducted one star. Once here they did the work we contracted for - removing lower limbs from 2 large trees, cutting down 3 medium sized trees and trimming 2 small trees. They did a good job, worked safely and were knowledgeable about tree health. They have excellent and experienced tree climbers, mechanical equipment for efficiency and a wonderful clean up crew. I will have them back.

From our estimator Jacob, to owner Alex and the crew that performed the work, we couldn’t be happier in our choice. So happy in fact, they’ll be coming back soon for some more work we just contracted with them. Would gladly and enthusiastically recommend them to anyone needing tree services performed in a professional and friendly manner.

Very pleased with our whole experience with Shier's. Communication was top notch. We really appreciated this. Everyone super friendly and our tree removal went as planned. We would highly recommend. We had two large trees removed from our backyard and the stumps ground as well.

Shier’s was great. I had 3 other bids from local companies that discussed pruning all my giant pin oaks & sycamore essentially the same way. The other companies were several thousands higher. Shier’s was great on educating me about my trees, communication was thorough (both written & verbal), they arrived on time & crew was courteous and quick. Will be using them again and would highly recommend to anyone.

We had 2 silver maple trees removed both 40+ years old. The entire crew was very professional, they had a mission and they accomplished it in a timely manner. Our particular job was split up into a few days. Every day they showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of every day. Overall wonderful experience.

Shire’s Family Tree Service is wonderful! They are incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to review everything with me towards the end of the job to ensure all of my questions were answered and that I was satisfied with the results. They had an amazing team that was able to tackle two giant trees in our backyard that sit up on a hill. Highly recommend!!

I had a 38+ year old Oak Tree(BIG). The crew was fabulous! They cleaned up as they worked and since some of the debris was in my neighbors yard they kept them happy also. I was impressed with how they applied safety techniques (taking down a tree can include some science skills). With in 4 hours a busy crew had it done and ready to leave. I was so impressed we had to give each member of the crew a TIP.

I have used Shier’s for many services over several years including a large tree removal from a very difficult location & numerous tree trimmings. Highly recommend! The crew was professional, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job trimming our trees. They showed up on time, worked safely and efficiently, and left everything clean when they were finished. Best of all, their pricing was very reasonable. We’ll definitely be using them again.

Hire them for tree trimming or removal. They're kind people and very knowledgeable about trees. I would have to recommend against hiring Shier for anything beyond that.

Our final bill was a 50% increase from the original quote. This included an additional $4,000 charge for "labor for added days", when the "added labor" was within the original scope of the project. They had originally allocated 2.5 days for our project, but ended up coming to our house 8 days for varying amounts of time, just to finish the work they had originally outlined in the quote. My husband and I tried asking for an explanation of the extra labor, but we're still not sure what we paid for.

What also made this difficult was that we paid full price for line items that were not done to the standard they had outlined for themselves. For example, they didn't remove existing mulch, weeds, or dirt, nor did they level or trench the area before placing weed barrier to prepare for gravel. This was clearly outlined in the quote but it wasn't done.

There's honestly more that I won't go into, but basically we feel that Shier overpromised and underdelivered. We would have much rathered they tell us they were uncomfortable with landscaping than complete it and leave us with dead grass and uneven ground.

Ruby was great to work with, and so was her crew. They were friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous. As a team, they worked together very well. They did all we spoke about and more! So pleased with my experience. I would highly recommend Shier's Family Tree Care Service.

These guys showed up promptly and rapidly mobilized to take down 6 trees and trim another 6 trees. They are knowledgeable, polite, and just plain hard workers who cleaned up everything and left our place better than they found it. In my mind, they are simply the best. I'll have them back next time I have tree service needs!

They did a great job trimming 2 trees and removing 2 trees (with stump removal). Alex, the owner, was so nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend them and will be calling them next time I need trees trimmed.

I have a massive American elm tree in my backyard. We asked them to cut big limbs off my house and my neighbors house. This company did a fantastic job. Every one of their employees is extremely professional and not once was I nervous about their work. This was my first time using them and I absolutely will continue to use them in the future. Jacob their tree expert even arrived early to go over the cuts we wanted to make and ensure the crew knew exactly what to do. You will not regret working with this company.

Shier Family Tree Care were amazing! We had a Pin Oak that was dying. Shier came at 7:30 this morning and the tree was down, loaded and the yard left in better shape than when they’re came by 11:15. They are very professional, worked quickly and efficiently and I would recommend them to anyone! Five Star Review from this household!

Harry and his team came in and completely transformed my yard, he did exactly what he said he would do at a great price. I had a lot of leaves, and yard debris as well as plants I needed removed. I couldn't find any other company that provided these services. He also did our first yard mow and I will be continuing with his lawn mowing service through the season. I Highly recommend him, he is true to his word. Great doing business with you Harry!

Great service, our lawn hasn’t looked this nice in a while! Everyone was very nice and friendly. Very easy to communicate about information and scheduling. We are fortunate for all the help with our gutter cleaning services. Everything looks great!

Burch Lawn Service are great to work with. They are friendly and detail-oriented. This year will be our 2nd year using them for our lawn care needs and hope to use them for many more.
