Swimming Pool feedback from Kansas City residents

I hired this company to repair my hot tub on a Tuesday. The technician came out the same day and told me the pump had a bad seal that was leaking onto the motor and causing the breaker to trip. He took the pump, said he repaired it, and told me he'd be back the next day. He didn't show until two days later. When he installed the pump, he said he couldn't wait for the tub to fill but assured me everything was fixed and I should have no issues. Once the tub filled, it still didn't work -- no water movement at all. I called him and he said it was an airlock and told me to turn the tub off and back on and let it run through its priming cycle. I did exactly that, multiple times, and it still didn't work. He promised he'd come out the next day to clear the system. That started a week of excuses and no shows. First he said he had to take his son to the ER, then he said he had a tire problem, then he said he'd be out later that night -- but he never came. Every day after that, I called with no answer. He sent occasional texts saying he'd come, but never actually showed up. It's now been over a week since the repair, the hot tub still doesn't work, and I have no idea whether the repair he did was even correct. I'm now forced to call another spa repair company and pay another service charge just to find out what's actually wrong. Very unreliable service, constant broken promises, and no follow through. I cannot recommend this business.

Needed a motor, she ordered it. She installed it and all was fine. However, I over-paid the invoice by $121.00 and have not received my refund/money back. This was not a personal loan. This was a business transaction and I would like to receive what is due me,

Scammers. Charged $1000 for a hot tub pump that never worked. They gave excuses for months on why they were delayed on fixing the pump & eventually quit responding. DO NOT RECOMMEND. If I would have seen the video below prior to calling them I would have known better - https://fox4kc.com/video/kansas-city-hot-tub-repairman-still-taking-money-disappearing/8449564/ Better Business Bureau complaints - https://www.bbb.org/us/ks/kansas-city/profile/hot-tub-service-and-repair/kc-hot-tub-repair-0714-1000005943/complaints

Worst customer service ever! My hot tub was working, but leaking and making a terrible noise. Paid them to come out and diagnose the problem, they said I needed a new motor. When they replaced the motor, they broke one the connections but said I would have to pay again for them to fix it. Then left before filling the tub to see if it was working; and it was not! I emailed the owner, Michelle Pruitt, with my concerns, she ignored me and did not even respond.

Warning: Avoid KC Hot Tub - Unprofessional and Untrustworthy I made the mistake of overlooking the poor reviews and hiring KC Hot Tub anyway, and I regret it. What was supposed to be a simple repair turned into a three-month ordeal filled with missed appointments, constant rescheduling, no-shows, and zero communication unless I reached out repeatedly. Despite paying over $400, the job was never completed, and the hot tub was left in worse condition than before. I was promised multiple times that the work would be finished or refunded, but those promises were never kept. I've documented every message and delay -- the pattern is consistent: excuses, no-shows, and unreturned texts. At this point, I believe this company takes advantage of customers and should not be trusted with your time or money. I'm posting this so others don't make the same mistake I did. If you've also been affected, please reach out, I'm exploring filing a formal complaint and small claims case for the refund owed.

Uses subpar subcontractors even though the contract states otherwise. Warranty they offer is not worth the paper it is written on. They fail to do the work properly even though it is written out on your contract. When questioned about the process they ask if you want them to stop and leave you with a half finished project. Then if you are not satisfied they tell you to hire a lawyer and sue them.
