I needed an updated service panel installed in my home.(100 amp upgrade to 200amp) we have an older home( built in 1922)and we never know what a contracter might find when they start a project.I called several places . I not only wanted a good price, but I also wanted a company that I felt like I could trust.The last place I had come to my house was called " Current Solutions" A Very Nice and clean cut young man called Stephen Seymour came to my house and explained the process and patiently answered all my questions. He also explained that he would deal with the power company and handle all the necessary permits. All I had to deal with was paying the bill after the job was finished and inspected by Evergy. Thier prices were very reasonable, and Stephen Seymour was a real ROCK STAR through the process. He was very professional and courteous. I would to recommend Current solutions to friends and family and I would definitely use them again.

Oh my God, I will never use another electrical person. Besides Emily, what a smart respectful, sweet, just absolutely amazing.

We had a great experience with CSE, Ian and Jessica. We will certainly use them again in the future, and ask for Jessica. Everyone in this company seemed to work hard to meet our needs.

Electrician Tim arrived on time. When I scheduled the appointment I was informed of a $89 trip fee and if I chose to have the repair it would be applied to the repair cost. When the Electrician arrived he explained the $89 trip fee, and then proceeded to tell me there was a $ 489 diagnostic charge which i was not informed of when scheduling the appointment. I then asked if that would be applied to the repair if I chose to have the repair completed and was told no. This company has a 5 star rating and I am not sure if everyone is being told and things explained the same way. I am a little confused by such an outrageous diagnostic fee. If you are choosing to do business with the company, do your due diligence and get all your questions answered and know what you are getting for your money. Get this in writing. The electrician never even bothered to look at the breaker box. This would have cost me approximately $578 just to have someone tell me what the problem was. He could have at least looked to exam first. This might have been a 30 minute repair. How do you get a 5 star rating charging such outrageous fees.

Update:
Had another electrician come out was literally a 5 minute fix, 2 other breakers were off that we had not checked. The electrician didn't want to even charge a trip fee.

They were very nice and proficient while troubleshooting but all they did was flip a breaker to fix the issue. I thought the $400 charge was excessive.

Ian and his team are professional, honest and efficient. Excellent work on the install and left my house clean and looking great!

$625 ish quoted to replace 1 single GFCI bathroom outlet.
Me - “do you stand by your price of $625 to replace a single bathroom outlet?”

I cannot remember the exact amount. As I was flabbergasted.
$89 call out service fee.
Once in my house the technician said it would be a $423.50 charge to tell me what’s wrong with a single bathroom outlet. So instead being out $89 went ahead. No mention of this charge in the 10 min on the phone booking, and describing my problem.
Hoping the fix would be included in the already $423.50 charge. Nope an extra 200ish for a replacement outlet.

The diagnosis charge was to tell me the outlet was corroded at the ground and recommended replacement. The $423.50 did include a 15 point diagnostic.

Upon the hearing the $625 number I told the technician to not continue. And would go elsewhere. I called the company being out $423.50. Spoke to Ian the owner after a short discussion, I asked the owner- “do you stand by your price of $625 to replace a single bathroom outlet?”
Ian- “yes”

Ian did send the technician back out to replace the outlet for no additional charge beyond the $423.50. As he said- “don’t want you to have nothing out of this”.

But writing this to warn others. Because I feel confused and taken advantage with predatory pricing. Confused how this company has so many reviews.

Now sitting here with a $423.50 bathroom outlet.. and a wish that I would’ve just eaten the $89 service fee.

Absolutely an outstanding experience with Stephen from CSE today. He took an old outdated panel smashed into a corner into a new panel, expertly dressed and installed. Our home is now not only safer but also free of electrical problems we had in the past. Stephen was pleasure to have in our home. Thank you Stephen and CSE for the great work!

Another great experience with Current Electric! This time Tim came out and worked with me to find a solution I was comfortable with for running an Ethernet cable for my home office. They also installed GFCI boxes (inside and out) and a whole house surge protector. I like knowing I can trust them to do quality work and follow up quickly if I have any questions or concerns after.

Emily did a fantastic job installing a Smart Transfer Switch and Remote Disable Switch for our Jackery 5000 Plus Essential Home Power Backup system. Highly recommend CSE for all electrical needs.
