I'd put zero stars if possible. Nothing but a scam, a 'sales rep' harassed us until I went out to talk to him. I have a polite personality, my "I'll reach out to you about it when we're ready" means no, "I work nights and can't deal with this stuff during the day" means no, most people pick up on this but this just refused all cordial declines. He assured me, guaranteed that all the equipment would be free. The equipment bill ended up being over $2000. When I asked, the sales rep said I must have bought a bunch of stuff from the tech. I told the tech to do what I had agreed to with the salesman. They're really good at weaseling out of everything and using victim blame-this is all my fault for not reading through every single word of the densely written contract, not theirs for lying to me. The guys held out the contracts in the hot summer air, offering no time to look anything over, very pushy and manipulative.
Pushy sales rep who took advantage of my husband who was alone and inebriated to sell us a system we did not want or need. I would give this a 0 star if I could. Actual parasite of a company that needs to be removed from the fact of the earth.
Buyer and Customer Beware! Recently I noticed my app was not working to arm and disarm my alarm. After calling Rampart, they said "yes currently our services are offline". Then I asked if that meant we would not be covered by monitoring for fire or burglary. They said "yes, that's correct". I was completely flabbergasted. Three large issues for me: - They never notified their clients the monitoring service was offline. My first issue was at 9PM the night before I called. When I called Rampart around 9AM the next day, the guy on the phone said: "Oh yeah it's down, but it hasn't been down that long". To which I replied "yes it has, my home has been unprotected for 12+ hours". - After researching the app communications, I quickly was able to determine the IP address involved was from BOLIVIA. The IP was registered to "Bulgaria Sofiya Residence Control" - Why on planet Earth would I want my home secured through a server in Bolivia which is now down? That IP address was 212.73.143.204. - The monthly service fee they charge is much higher than the service we received. The monitoring service was the cheapest available, likely turning $20-25/mo in profit for adding absolutely zero value. They use a third-party service called "m2mservices" which is hosted on a server in Bolivia. https://m2mservices.com/ The device is the cheapest available and the service, being outside of the US, is most likely also the cheapest possible. After calling back, they had zero problems refunding our entire charge.. which is too bad... we were a customer for over eight years without a miss in payment. Stay away, the company doesn't care if your home is protected, or at least not enough to tell you about it.
Absolute liars. The sales person tells me at the door "your home qualifies for free equipment and installation. The only thing you have to pay is the monthly subscription of $60/mo. They proceed to mislead me into taking out a line of credit to pay for the "free" equipment and then lied again saying I could "cancel anytime for no charge". When the fire department showed up 6 times because of their shoddy install, they finally sent a tech out to fix it. I tried to cancel and get this out of my home but it actually costs $1k. They absolutely prey on and lie to new homeowners. Makes my skin crawl. Do not answer the door for solicitors. The representative was wearing an ADT uniform even though they work for safe haven? These people are scammers.
Absolute garbage company. Their panel has gone out after less than 6 months of use, I now have to pay $60 for their tech to come out and fix a part that is still under warranty. Also, they only warranty products for 6 months, so if their shoddy products break after that, you will also pay to replace the part. I will not be renewing my service after this contract is over, and if I can cancel service, I definitely will.
horrible customer service after refusing to cancel my service without paying a cancellation. Th service is terrible and alarm has gone off almost weekly, after multiple calls and numerous, several technician visit and all that "can't figure out what the problem is". This has been going for over 7 MONTHS!
