In addition to parking our cars, I use my garage as a wood shop. I was in the market for a mini split to keep my garage more comfortable year around. I contacted and received bids from several installers. Not only did the price vary but the size of the unit (BTU's) they recommended also varied.
As it turned out, some companies did not make it clear that the efficiency of some mini splits drops when the outside temperature gets below 20 degrees or so. In Kansas City, this is a frequent occurrence in winter. Balance Point recommended a Mitsubishi Hyper Heat model that performs down to -13 degrees outside temp and 100% capacity @ 5 degrees. The Hyper Heat model was only slightly more expensive. They recommended a 15k btu model. This morning (1.21.25) the outside temp hit 5 BELOW ZERO and my garage was +50. This temp is what I have the unit set at overnight, but it will get warmer if I adjust it upward. The people at Balance Point did everything they promised. The office ladies answered my questions (I had a lot!) and provided the documents for warranty and lein waver, etc. The installers were polite, quick and efficient. I would highly recommend Balance Point for HVAC projects. In closing, I would add that they were very competitively priced.

The service person was here promptly on time, very polite, put booties on to take care of my floors and carpeting.Very meticulous in what he did tell me about a few things that were not even in the realm of what he was here to do, but I very much appreciated all of the information that he gave me. The service he provided to my heating unit was very valid as well as service to my humidifier. I feel I was well taken care of and I contracted to see them in the spring.

I previously left a one-star review for the Belton location after seeing company waste left near our complex dumpster. Since we deal with ongoing issues from local residents dumping trash there — something that affects our pets — I was frustrated when I thought a company truck was doing the same.

However, this turned out to be a misunderstanding. The company reached out promptly, handled the situation professionally, and explained things clearly. Their communication and professionalism were excellent.

Balance Point Heating and Cooling has been servicing my HVAC systems semiannually for more than three years. My system has outperformed its expected service life, but Balance Point service people keep it fine tuned and performing well. They remind me when service is due and the technicians are meticulous in their work.

I have been using Balance Point for awhile now. I have always been impressed with their employees and work they have done for me. I have had repairs and service done through Balance Point and have always been happy. Also, their communication is absolutely amazing. You know what is happening and when. They always show up during the scheduled window and let you know when the technician is heading your way. Great service!

I had John come out for a furnace checkup and he was thorough, and very knowledgeable as I asked questions throughout his work. He did find a weak capacitor which I had him go ahead and replace.
I know electrical myself but wanted to know specifically the heat exchanger was good and my 30 year old furnace was still up to the task, and I am very satisfied with everything John tested, cleaned and replaced, all within the hour quoted.
Balance Point Heating will be my HVAC from now on as I have had those other big name companies out, only to tell me I need to spend thousands.

Balance Point was quick and very cost effective when our heater went out. Through multiple troubleshooting efforts we determined we needed to replace the unit. They answered all my questions and helped guide me to make the best decision for my time frame and budget. All the techs and office personnel are always nice and polite. Justin, Chris, John and Dana all did a great job! Between the initial quote and final installation was about 4 business days. Fair price for equipment and they made it look very nice.
We signed up for the affordable maintenance program too. Would recommend getting a quote if your looking.
