My ac quit on July 4th holiday weekend I called Dan's Heating & Air the following Monday and Dan worked me in the very next morning even though I was new customer. We had been without ac for 4 days with temperatures in the upper 90's and now back to 69 degrees inside!

Dan came by same day to fix our ac. He was a life saver in this heat. Did a great job, at a fair cost, and was friendly and efficient. He really knows what he is doing. Had us up and running in about 15 minutes.

Very disappointed in this business. Called to look at a minisplit. Dan said he needed equipment he did not bring. Because he traveled in his truck to the county for this service, I insisted on giving him something, which he did not ask for, but I really thought he was a good guy and wanted to give him something for his time. I though he would be true to his word and come back to do the work. Made an appt. With him twice...ghosted. the first time I gave the benefit of the doubt and reschedule even though he did not acknowledge the first missed appt. Second appt. Same. Not sure if he just did not want to do the work because it was not a big job and I'm older. Maybe thought I would not know how to leave a review? I researched and contacted someone with good reviews. I tip well for good work, Dan's loss. Just wish if he did not want to do the work, he would have let me know. Went without heat in my bedroomduring the latest cold snap.

While I'm never happy to spend money, I'm happier to spend it if it means I'm working with great people and getting great service and products. Dan's company measured up to those expectations. I'd definitely use his services again and definitely recommend him to others. He's proof that there are still honest and reputable people out there who know their job and do it well.

Dan is the only HVAC professional I’ll ever use again. He is very polite, prices were fair, and the work was quality. After our AC went out, I gave him a call and thankfully he was able to come out that day, find the problem and schedule an appointment for the next day. He showed up, on time, and finished his work in the estimated timeframe. This guy and his help had great attitudes and just made the whole experience great through a tough situation. Dan may be the most dedicated contractor I’ve worked with. He drove 2 hours to fix a minor problem. I am lucky the day I found him. If you ever need heating or cooling work done this is your guy. Has made simple repairs to entire replacement units. 100% satisfaction!

Dan came out and replaced my 25 year old furnace and AC with a brand new heat pump, furnace, and thermostat. He did a fantastic job and was very up front with everything throughout the entire process. He was extremely knowledgeable and one of the most genuinely honest people I have come across. Dan proved to have old fashioned values in that he puts the problems and concerns of his customers first. We called Dan late on Monday with an AC problem. He arrived the next day and found that we needed a new fan motor. He had it for us the next day and arrived earlier than he stated to get it installed. He followed up on everything he said he would do; gave us great professional service; his prices were more than fair and reasonable. We will certainly use Dan's services should the need arise in the future and Highly recommend him to anyone who may need heating and/or Air conditioning services.

Dan is honest, and very reasonably priced. His crew did a great job on my ac and furnace replacement. They were also willing to come out on short notice to resolve an issue with the furnace that turned out to be due to an issue that was not their fault. Very impressed with these guys.

I do not write negative reviews generally but feel a past circumstance is important to mention. After paying over $1,200 for parts and labor, the furnace this business repaired stopped working within 48 hours. Initially, Dan inspected the furnace and said that only one part needed replaced, so I paid >$700 for that as he requested. When the furnace again failed less than 2 days later, I called him back, and was told by Dan to then purchase an additional part, and to alert him once I had the part, and he promised once I did that he would install it. I did as I was asked, and informed him once I had the part later that day. After struggling to get replies or calls back for 2 days with an impending ice storm, I asked Dan to just let me know if he could not come install it so I could find someone else before the storm. He said *not* to call anyone else, that he would come install the part he told me to buy. He then tried to send me text instructions to make the repair by myself, which is extremely dangerous for the lay person with a gas furnace. After no further response from him for another day, he finally told me to call someone else to replace the part he asked me to buy because he was too booked, and this was less than 8 hours before the ice storm was to start.

I had to pay exorbitant additional emergency fees for someone else to come on such short notice, and when they did, they showed me that an entirely different part of the furnace was rusted through and the furnace itself was completely unsafe to use with extremely high CO2 escaping, making my home dangerous to even be inside. I told Dan about this, and he would not refund or buy back the part he told me to purchase, nor would he refund the other brand new part he had told me was the issue and installed just 3 days before. With the ice storm coming, the other company could not replace the entire furnace for several days and the house had no heat in negative temperatures for over a week, followed by almost $10,000 for a new unit and installation.

I was completely compliant with Dan's recommendations and trusted him after he replaced my AC in the past. I did not try and get cheaper repair or try to patch or band-aid my furnace - I trusted his assessment and what he told me to do, and spent whatever money he told me was necessary. I was absolutely disappointed that a return customer who had given him glowing reviews in the past would be treated this way. It would have been great to use the money he kept on the new furnace system that was needed all along.

Being booked is one thing, but not being thorough and failing to communicate after giving a customer instructions and telling them to make purchases on your word, is another. Please choose another heating and cooling company.
