Roger made my whole week! Our yard was out of control after a tough pregnancy last summer and raising a new baby this spring. Out yard is my happy peaceful place, but lately it made me wince. Roger mowed, edged, blew away the debris, took down some nasty weeds, efficiently. When my husband came home he was so grateful and blown away. Every morning and evening I’ve been able to enjoy our space because of Roger’s amazing work. I wish I had some before photos of all the weeds in the fence and tree debris so you could really appreciate the improvement here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you!

Highly recommend Agape! They have done a number of small projects for us and always do an excellent job. Kevin and Amy, the owners, are salt of the earth people!

Agape gave us an estimate for a remodel; we accepted their bid, despite the fact that it was slightly higher than two others, because we trusted them. They did not follow up with the contract despite the fact that we continued to ask. After three months and living in pre-construction zones, they submitted a contract for 66% higher than their estimate! When we wrote a lengthy email, with all details of this experience, they ignored us and mailed our keys back to us. They didn't even have the decency to respond. Ever. We have contracted with others (for less than their original bid), now five months past our original dates, and our construction would have been finished had we not trusted them and their word.

First person came out and "measured", he seemed less than entertained, but none the less we received the bid and were pleased with it. I followed up and mentioned I'd like to move forward with a contract. They stated they would come out for 2nd measurements, which I was pleased with this idea, given the first interraction. In speaking with the two owners (husband and wife) I mentioned in writing that it is important to us to have good communication because we have already gone through 4 other contractors and ultimately didnt hire because there was no follow through or any communication at all. I also mentioned that I know schedules are tight and was aware we are already 2-3 months out for any work to begin, so we desperately were ready to get on a schedule amd move forward. Agape reassured us that they are a "professional company" and we certainly wouldnt have issues like that with them. Yet here we are, several weeks later with no responses, no follow through, no more communication. This is absurd. Must not care for our business, and that's fine- because before we are ready to give someone upwards of 15k, we would like to have a good working relationship with them. Clearly Agape isnt interested in establishing good working relationships with potential customers.

We were having an addition to our family so needed an addition to our home. Due to budget limits and my ability to do some of the work, we approached Agape and several other builders about building a shell, and allowing us to finish it. Several of the contractors we spoke to didn't want to do that or wouldn't give us a straight answer. We met with Kevin McClure. He was more than happy to help while making it clear what the risks were and what they'd cover under warranty. We also had some contractors say no problem and never called us back, and others that missed appointments.
We discussed a few options and decided adding a master suite to the back was the best solution. We met with the architects to discuss must haves and they came up with a plan that we loved and allowed us to stay close to our budget. We are in a 1929 house so maintaining some of the look was also important. I was fortunate enough to sit in on the meeting at Kirkwood City hall to get approval from the City. Kevin and the Lauri walked us through the possible ticking points on our plan. We were able to listen to about eight people go ahead of us. We were the only ones that were not told to make changes and come back. I was able to present with Laurie in front of the board and we were able to explain the hows an why's to their satisfaction. That told me a lot about their credibility!
Communication was very clear about expectations, time frames, etc. Other than 4" of rain after the footings were poured, the schedule was fine.
We were very pleased with the employees of Agape. They were all very friendly and professional and clearly took pride in their work. We ran into a few minor subcontractor issues, that Patrick, the project manager was on top of. He met with us every week to keep us updated and took care of most issues before we even asked, including a sub contractors truck that leaked oil all over the driveway. He also was helpful when we had some issues with product we provided. We really felt we were partners with them throughout the process.
Upon completion of their work, I met with Patrick and he made some suggestions about the finishing touches and answered any questions I had. He could easily have said he couldn't help. I have also reached out a couple of times to Kevin about materials recommendations when I was on the fence. He quickly responded to my questions. We did have one small issue over the winter with the sump pump drain they installed due to settling. They were out within a couple of days to address it.
We are very happy with the people and also the workmanship. Everything seems to built real well and it all looks great.
I would highly recommend the team at Agape to anyone looking to build/remodel. We have some other projects on our horizon, and we will definitely be in contact. -
Just completed a remodel of our family room that included some structural work and quite a bit of finish carpentry. The workmanship was top notch. This was our fourth project with Agape and have always been very happy with the outcome.

We wanted to move an interior staircase so chose this company because they have an architect and structural engineer on staff. Ryan at Agape was my initial consultant. He met with us several times and priced out a variety of things we were considering doing. Ryan worked with us initially to see what finishes/quality we were interested in to give us a true estimate so there wouldn't be 'sticker shock' later down the road. They also have an interior designer to help you pull everything together. When we were finished with consulting and began construction, we were given a new "point person" Steve. Between Ryan and Steve, we always had someone to go to if we had any questions or problems. They schedule all the trades, deliveries, inspections and keep the project moving forward with no delays. In addition to moving stairs, we are replacing flooring, adding a vent hood and gutting/replacing a bathroom.

I reached out to Edie Rice for help with my kitchen design. Money well spent! Such a myriad of options left me feeling overwhelmed. Edie, and the design team at Agape, were able to help me with contractors, vendors, colors, and design. All of their contacts proved to be invaluable during covid and supply chain challenges. We completed the project on time, within budget and it looks amazing. I would refer Edie and Agape over and over again

Agape is very professional and timely. The companies they use to do the multitude of jobs to support a build or addition are timely and have a lot of attention to quality. In addition, they support what your are trying to create at your home and listen to your requests. We highly recommend them.

We have used Agape many times. Our most recent experience was the removal of our deck and replacement with a new deck plus roof. We have always been pleased with the quality service and professionalism. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable.

Linda with Agape was a wealth of knowledge throughout the design process of our remodel. Everyone we dealt with at Agape was knowledgeable, responsive, competent, transparent and friendly during the design and contract process. Linda was a joy to work with and really helped us bring our vision to life.

I had Agape Construction do an extensive remodel of a 1972 lake front house I bought. New electrical system to meet code and add a hot tub. Impressive custom design to incorporate a 12' x 12' screened in porch to an existing 40' deck. Replaced two wood burning fireplaces with gas.
Kitchen update to replace old electrical stovetop and separate ovens with a dual fuel range. Cabinet changes, farmhouse sink, custom trash/recycle bin built, new counters, and backsplash with a custom accent feature.
Sunken living room floor brought up to the level of the rest of the floors. Custom mantle and shelves over the new gas fireplace. Extensive electrical work to ensure fireplace mounted TV has no cords visible and added outlets to the walls and floor for furniture.
The special tiling we picked for around the two fireplaces was installed perfectly and both fireplaces look fantastic.
Agape's employees and sub contractors were absolutely amazing people.
We actually enjoyed having them show up each morning because we knew they would show up on time and in a cheerful mood. The skill level of the carpenters was unbelievable compared to other work I have had done.
Fantastic responsiveness to identified issues. Found and fixed issues that I hadn't noticed. Every single issue was resolved to my satisfaction.
Covid caused all sorts of supply issues so the project full completion date was almost 2 full months late. But the important thing is Agape made sure we were able to move in on time in accordance with our other housing agreement ending.
4.5 stars from me. The half point reduction is due to some missed communication that resulted in some unnecessary delays.
Highest recommendation for this company because of the people and commitment to making it right. -
This was the 2nd project that I have done with Agape. One was done in 2017-2018 and the other just finished last week. Both times, I have been very happy with their project management and workmen's skills. The customer service is terrific! I would always recommend them to my family and friends!

We have used the handyman services through Agape Construction and have been most pleased with the services offered. Also the design and consultation work by their in home decorator. All the work has been so professional and just to our taste. Thanks to Agape we have settled into our new home much more smoothy.

They certainly have a fascinating business model for customer relations. I called to inquire and have person from Agape give me an estimate on re-do of my back porch. Needs a total redo. I had various estimates $10,000 range about 9x12 and something practical. The lady at Agape asked the size of porch, gave me an estimate over the phone based on 14x14 of $40,000 to $50,000 as it saves time if a person is not in the considered price range, would they need to send a person for an estimate. I considered it was high, curious they never saw my place and found Agape, nicely represented, but clearly not interested in me as a customer. I an not naive to remodeling costs as I have had my kitchen, bathroom and basement remodeled on my home. I don't no more about Agape as they didn't seem interested in me. No harm done, will move on to other considerations.

I sourced Agape as they had a good reputation. They do the design/architectural drawings, which you pay for (in my case it was approx $5K for the 2 phase design process); however, you don't get ownership of the drawings until you sign a construction contract. I understood this and was okay with it as their initial bid fit in my budget; however, by the time we got to the end of the process their price nearly doubled (the scope of work did not double). I sourced 3 other contactors since then and they were all in my budget, which was near Agape's original quote. I asked if I could have or purchase the drawings to which they refused and began using the drawings/3D walkthrough, which I paid for, on their social media. I found this to be in poor taste. To give a small glimpse into their pricing they were going to replace a bay window as part of the project and budgeted $17K-$20K...Pella is doing it for $6K, which is who they use for windows. The reason they got 2 stars rather than 1 is for their Architect (Taylor) she was absolutely amazing and had some really great ideas.

We recently finished a large renovation with Agape and these folks were a clear cut above at every stage of the process. They were very patient with us throughout a vetting process I drug out for a LONG time. Not only were they able to accomplish construction challenges which caused many others to "no quote" me, but they did so in a price competitive manner. They were not the cheapest bid, but they were the best and the experience we had with their crews over our 5 month project exceeded expectations. Problems during the project were addressed and not worked around, and the people were very friendly and accommodating to my dog and 3 young kids who would wander into the work zone on a regular basis (we did this in the middle of COVID). Agape will for sure be my first call on any project from here on.

We are currently working with Agape Construction on a home remodeling/expansion project. We have completed the design phase and now about to start the construction phase. We've been very pleased with how our project architect was able to envision new functions for spaces in our home in ways we had not considered previously! We are very excited to see how all the old and new spaces flow together.
