Electrical reviews in St. Louis, Missouri

Used them once for a major project last year and all went well. Unfortunately, had them come out for another project that was a totally different story. I had asked them to replace several outlets with GFCIs, which they had done the first time 15 months previously and charged $15 apiece for. This time, I was shocked when the invoice came in for 20A GFCIs at $49.56 apiece, when the possibility of installing the 15As that were installed in the first job was never presented by the electrician. In fact, I was never asked to sign an invoice before the electrician left, and only found out about the cost when the final invoice was sent. They also billed for 3.5 hours of labor, when I had on camera an arrival time of 9:30 and a departure time of 12:06.
The customer rep I spoke to afterwards on the phone said this was a new electrician and that this was not following the company’s standard operating procedure. They said I would be contacted by someone in management who might be able to explain why these issues occurred; it has been about two months now, and no one ever reached out.
Will definitely be using another vendor from now on. If transparency of billing up front is important to you, look elsewhere. Really unfortunate given how smooth the first project went; not sure if there’s new management or what, but no doubt this was a tale of effectively two different companies. -
We've now hired Reinhold on 3 different occasions, and they've been fantastic every time. Most recently to wire our new dock.
They are very knowledgeable, friendly and customer service oriented. They take the time to ask questions to understand what you need and patiently explain what they're doing. They do the job right. -
Had a lady decide to run off the road and crash into and destroy my electrical pedestal and therefore taking out power to my house. I called Reinholdt the very next morning at 0830 and spoke with Sergio and by 10am, there was a technician at my house taking photos and getting a list of materials needed made. An hour later USIC is there marking utilities. Reinholdt was able to pull a permit that very same day, and at 0700 the next morning, Mitch and his helper was there and started replacing everything. They were very well mannered, and .did a very good job, and cleaned up after themselves. Yeah you heard that right, an electrician actually cleaned up his own mess(construction joke, IYKYK) LOL. I told Reinholdt about the payment situation and that we would have to wait until this lady's insurance paid out, and they didn't hesitate. Man they knocked this out of the park and have earned a customer for life!!! Thank you guys so much!!!

Blown away by the level of service we have received at our Marina from Greg and his team. Super fast response and they go above and beyond our expectations. Truly dedicated professionals!

Unfortunately, I got stuck behind their fleet vehicle 449. He swerved through traffic, sped to cut people off, and repeatedly braked at random intervals with no reason to. When my husband finally passed the vehicle, we saw the driver fussing with several things in the seat and not paying attention to the road. Put a bad taste in my mouth to see a representative of the company drive like a madman.

I recently had Reinhold rewire my attic (to remove old tube & post wiring in preparation for new insulation), and they did a great job. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous and arrived promptly for our appointments. The electricians for my project, Dal & Lon, were experienced and professional, and communicated with me at every step of the process to make sure I understood what they were doing and why. They were also personable and friendly, and made the experience as pleasant as possible while still doing excellent work--I never questioned once whether or not something was being done properly; I had every confidence it was. I am very pleased with Reinhold's work and professionalism, and would recommend them without hesitation.

Kevin did a fantastic job of changing over some old outlets and installing a new light fixture. He was on time, professional, and explained things thoroughly. When I received my bill it was different than what Kevin and I discussed. I called and spoke to Matt and he cleared things up right away. He was very kind, honest, and took the time to answer my questions. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again for upcoming projects!

Our condo association told us last year that we would be responsible to have our aluminum wiring replaced in order to be insured (possibly no garantes) and as you would assume this upset over 160 residents including us.
We had several incorrect invoices come in from Reinhold which was concerning (wrong address, wrong count on switches, outlets, etc). Apparently there were two teams and we got the worse one. Left trash all over the place (in our bed, on the floors, stands, etc), installed switches upside down, dumped dry wall in our sinks, broke our ceiling fan and just left it, wife had copper shards go in her foot because they didn’t move or cover things properly and it all went in our shoes. They even cracked our backsplash in the kitchen. It was a what the heck moment and their charging 4k + for their services.
Now I’ll give them credit for coming back and replacing our backsplash, but overall it was unprofessional and nobody seemed to be supervising from what I was told directly (also concerning). Paid what I had to, but would never use their services again. -
We would like to thank Kevin for his professional approach and outstanding work performed. Kevin was very courteous and answered all of our questions while he diagnosed a serious electrical issue with a new dishwasher that was installed incorrectly by the vendor, which could have resulted in an electrical fire. We are extremely satisfied with the outcome, thankful for Kevin's leadership, and would highly recommend Reinhold Electric to anyone.

I needed a full electrical panel replacement, plus an Alumiconn connector upgrade in my entire place for insurance purposes.
Reinhold was one of the only companies who even called me back. It was easy to schedule a service call with them. Communication through the appointment was easy and clear.
The two crews who came were polite and professional and worked quickly. Prices were fair, and I was charged exactly what I was quoted.
While others didn't answer, said they would call and didn't, or agreed to do the work and then cancelled, working with Reinhold was smooth and easy the whole way - so I could go about my life without hassle.
As a local business owner, I will work with them again, and I will refer them. -
Thankful to work with Sam & Patrick from the Reinhold team. They're professional, respectful, and experts at their craft. They helped me get across the finish line with a project and I recommend them both without reservation.

Called Reinhold to fix an issue with an electrical socket. They sent a big strapping young man. He wandered around for an hours piddling with this and that and he finally says... you need to run all new wiring. Then he went and sat in his truck for 45 minutes, all the while billing me for the time he sat in his truck doing nothing. So summary, billed for 2 hours, got 1 hours worth of service. Didnt fix the problem cuz it was too hard to move a bed 6 inches to access an outlet. Left me with wires bare and disconnected. Reinhold never called me back about a follow up appointment so I called Streib Electric. They fixed the problem in less than an hour, didnt cry about moving the bed. Didnt have to tear open my walls and ceiling and didnt have to run all new wiring. .. I hope someone heeds my warning, do not use this unskilled pompous company for any electric issues.

Ron and the crew at Reinhold were great. We had a more complex job of a service boost, panel upgrade, and moving the meter+service stack.

Nick came to check our problem and was able to fix it. Thorough, explained what the problem was and was very friendly and competent

Called in for help with three rooms with power outages at our home. Received a call early the following morning. An hour later electrician Chad arrived and went to work. The three unrelated issues were methodically diagnosed and repaired. Chad was respectful of our home and worked in a professional manner.

We had to get electric repairs done to our main connection,
and Reinhold had the most reasonable quote.
We were told up to 8 hours of power off, they had the job done in 4 hours :)
I think the Electrician's name was Matt. He was very professional and informative about the process in which he had to devise an alternative repair, due to our old home's lay out, to be in code.
It came out looking much improved over the previous set up and we are extremely pleased with his work. Kudos Matt! -
Bad storm last night, caused some damage, lots of people impacted, power out at 9:30 on a Friday night. I called one outfit early Saturday morning and they came out about 5 hours after I called, made a determination, threw out a ball park cost and let me know I would be without power possibly 2-3 weeks. My neighbors recommended Reinhold so I called them at about 2:30 pm Saturday and fully expected them to not be able to make it by same day. Not only did they make it by, they were there FAST even though they were super busy. They fixed the problem, got my power up and running and for much, much less than the other company. They also went above and beyond in at least two ways (possibly more) and each of the 3 men I spoke with (the initial man who took my call and the 2 who came out) were very nice, conscientious, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Reinhold and will be using them again FOR SURE. A++++++!!!

Lon came out and saved the day! The day before getting a new washer/dryer, I realized I had the wrong outlet and voltage entirely. He made quick work of the job and had things up and running in no time. Things are now up to code with an added GFCI breaker as well. Super nice guy who obviously knows his stuff. My dog (who hates everybody) even sniffed his hand, which is a good sign!

Jeremy Miller came to remove a temporary sub-panel from my home. He is excellent! He was very careful of my equipment that the panel was surrounded by. Nothing was harmed. He is clean, friendly intelligent, and courteous. If you need electrical help, Reinhold is the company you need, and ask for Jeremy.

This past Sunday, the electrical panel for the filter of our 40,000 gallon swimming pool blew. We called Reinhold around 11am and the owner Jerry Reinhold answered. Larry, the electrician arrived by 1pm. To save on travel time/costs, they obtained an electrical panel from Home Depot 2 miles from my home. The pump was up and running by 5pm. I was surprised at how reasonable the price was for a Sunday, but not shocked as we’ve used them for 10 years and found all of their invoices to be fair.

I really wanted to have a good experience with Reinhold. We’ve used them in the past and they did good work, we thought… recently our garage’s power stopped working, which is fed by a panel on the pole that they installed in August of 2022. We NEVER had a single electrical issue until after that pole was installed which is starting to make sense.
A few months ago we began having electrical issues in our house, so we called Reinhold because we thought they did a good job when installing the pole that fell in 2022. The technicians that were out to see what the cause of the electrical issues in the house were said that the lines under ground were corroded (which may have been true), so we accepted to let them fix it. They hand dug by the electric pole, buried conduit and ran new wire to the house and everything seemed to be fine until we recently started having issues with the electric in our garage.
The location where they dug and buried the conduit for the wire going to the house is in a very close location to where the conduit goes for the wires going from the pole to the garage. I called for an estimate and was told $5,000 worse case scenario which may be understandable considering that would include cutting asphalt, trenching, new conduit, new wire and labor so I get that. Upon receiving this news I decided to just take care of it myself. I went to the building department for our county to take the test to do residential electric work, paid for the permit to be pulled, had everything cleared with Missouri 811 incase I needed to dig and bought $700 worth of new wire. I pulled the old wire, saw that there was a break in the wire due to corrosion from water getting in the conduit underground so I started digging right where the conduit meets the pole that Reinhold installed just to see if there was a break in the conduit. Sure enough, there’s a small section of conduit that was crudely placed over where the old conduit underground is and the new conduit where they installed the pole. They had it lightly wrapped in what looks like some kind of landscape fabric (thought it was electrical tape at first). So there was no protection in the conduit against water getting in which was what caused the wire to corrode to the point of no longer working. Mind you, Reinhold is THE ONLY company we’ve had at our house for electrical work since owning the house.
When I saw this piece of conduit being very improperly “connected”, I took pictures, and videos and sent them to the estimator who came out to give me a quote for fixing the electrical issue in the garage. He said he would give me a call back after speaking with the technicians that were there more recently to fix the electrical issue with the house as well as the ones who installed the pole in August of 2022. After speaking with them he said that none of them claimed to do that and that their technicians would never do something like that and all these denials of my claim. He then told me that he could come out and fix it for $500-$600 FOR A 3” LONG SECTION OF CONDUIT THAT NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED FROM THEIR PREVIOUS WORK. I am not the type to ask for free stuff from ANYONE, I’m incredibly happy to pay for good service by good people and I thought that’s what we were doing with Reinhold until yesterday. They completely denied the fact that their technicians made a mistake, and didn’t offer to fix the issue or anything. I was told that all of the technicians that have been on our property did not do it and that it would be $500-$600 to fix something they installed incorrectly. I understand if a technician didn’t remember every little detail from a job they did in 2022, but there is no integrity or accountability on their part with this issue. It was either done in 2022 when the new pole was installed or a few months ago when the new wire was put in with new conduit by REINHOLD.
