i hired an electrician to install a new outlet in my basement in st. louis so i could finally use a dehumidifier down there. my house is pretty old, over a hundred years, so i was nervous about the whole process and how much it would cost. honestly, i thought the price was on the higher side at first, which made me even more anxious, especially since i’m new to owning a home and not handy at all. but the estimate from miguel seemed fair after he explained everything in detail. on the day of the job, two electricians showed up right on time. they introduced themselves, were very professional, and also super friendly, which helped me feel at ease. they got started right away, and a supervisor even stopped by for a few minutes, also very professional. they finished the work in about two hours, and the quality was even better than i expected. now i have my dehumidifier working, and the outlet looks great—even better than i had pictured since i don’t know much about electrical work. the team put a rough patch over the hole they made for the wiring, just like it said in the contract, so i’ll need to do a little sanding and painting on my own. overall, i’m really happy with how everything turned out, and i would definitely call them again if i need any more electrical work.
