We were referred to J & J Contracting by Quick Dry Restoration after our dishwasher flooded our kitchen. Juan came out to meet us and assess the damage right away. He was professional and informative during our initial meeting and helped us feel at ease. We were intimidated by the insurance claim process, but Juan guided us through the steps to initiate a claim.

After we decided to go with J & J, Juan took over the correspondence with USAA and we didn't have to do a thing! He literally handled everything between our insurance and his company. Our old sink had to be taken out due to the risk of mold, and when he noticed that we were rinsing dishes in a baby pool in our backyard, he brought us a temporary sink to use during the entire project! We were so grateful. Juan would call us, even when he didn't really have any news- just to tell us that he wanted to check-in on us and reach out to answer any questions we might have.

Our project manager Ramone sat down with us to go line-by-line over every single detail in regards to the work. He took his time explaining everything to us and answered any and all of our questions. He was so patient and kind as I showed him a hundred photos of what my dream kitchen would look like; and he was honest about what we could accomplish together. He was responsive to my texts and calls and often met his crew at our house just to provide an introduction (which we thought was a nice touch) and explain the work that was to be done that day so that everyone was hearing the same thing at the same time. He's wonderful with kids and understood this process was painful at times because our kids were contained to one part of the house.

The crew was incredible! They were always so professional and respectful of our home. We have three kids all under 5 years old, and the crew started noticing what times my children would nap or wake up in the mornings. They would text me and ask if it was ok to come over or rearrange their schedules to avoid nap time. It made us chuckle at first, but it was so considerate and above and beyond- we were so appreciative of their thoughtfulness. The crew offered to wear shoe coverings any time they needed to come into our home, as they said they noticed our youngest was crawling and our kids are always playing on the floors. Again, we just thought that was so kind of them to offer.

Mike (co-owner) and Juan came back out right before our project was wrapped up to do a final walk-through. They looked over EVERYTHING. They called a couple of guys right then and there to provide touch-up support just so get things were at 100% before they closed the project. I thought I had OCD, but Mike is so detail-oriented! Juan reassured me to reach out any time if we happen to notice anything that they may have missed during the final walk-through.

One special thing I wanted to share: We ordered white floating shelves- which we decided we didn't really like the color. Completely our fault. But we were willing to pay out of pocket for new floating shelves that were a natural wood color. We asked Juan to quote us a price so that we could save our pennies to have them made- but he told us we were not going to pay for them. He surprised us the next day by coming back with 4 natural floating shelves! He said it was the least he could do for always being so pleasant and kind to his crew. We were humbled with such a generous gesture.

I want to take the time to thank Ramone, Rafa, the crew, Juan, and Mike for everything you did for us during such a stressful time. We will miss seeing you guys! We appreciate all of the hard work that was put into our project and the extra steps that were taken to ensure a smooth process for us.

If I could give negative stars, I would. My husband and I hired J & J Contracting after a devastating flood in 2021, and what followed was nothing short of predatory.

Here are the facts:
• Their own designer confirmed that the cabinets we selected were within the budget of the original estimate.
• After eight months of delays, J & J suddenly claimed we owed an additional $13,000 for the same cabinets.
• When we questioned this, they escalated — hiring a shady “shark” attorney, Butch Williams, to pressure and intimidate us.
• In the end, they extorted over $60,000 from us, leaving our family on the brink of losing our home.

But the deeper concern is this: J & J appears to have cozy arrangements with Quick Serve and insurance adjusters. Homeowners in crisis are funneled their way, often under the guise of being a “preferred” or “recommended” contractor. Whether there are kickbacks involved or not, it certainly feels like a setup — one where vulnerable families are steered toward J & J only to be exploited.

This is not just about sloppy work or inflated invoices. This is about a company that preys on disaster victims, manipulates insurance channels, and weaponizes the legal system to enrich themselves.

As a mother of small children, I can say firsthand that this ordeal has devastated our family. Instead of rebuilding after tragedy, J & J Contracting left us financially and emotionally crushed.

Please, if you value your home, your money, and your peace of mind — stay far away from J & J Contracting, LLC. They do not operate with honesty, they do not honor their agreements, and their business practices are as shady as they come.

Absolutely amazing work from all involved. This was my first time filiing an insurance claim for anything, and had no idea what i was doing or what to expect. My upstairs bathroom flooded--and leaked over into 2 rooms downstairs and i thought my world, my home, was over. When i was told that it was going to be restored to like new condition, i never believed such a thing could happen. Well, the entire crew turned an upsetting, stressful, & negative situation into a wonderfully calm experience and my bathroom & the other damaged areas into a masterpiece-better than new! I am beside myself with joy and i definitely DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone reading this, and will recommend to anyone i find who needs services. Thank you, thank you, thank you .

J&J Contracting did an excellent job on repairing my master bathroom/bedroom hall. Josue and his team were very kind and attentive. I had water damage and they installed a new wall, baseboards, and new door frame. It looks like nothing happened. I attached a before and after.

I own a condo and had water damage from my upstairs neighbors and decided to go with J&J for repairs. Hector and his guys did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations. My kitchen looks way better than what it was before and I am very satisfied with their work and business and I’m looking forward to doing more projects with them, but under better circumstances. We had plumbing issues that required a large amount of rebuild. I am disabled and my mother is over 80, it was overwhelming and frightening. But from the first day we spoke with Rodney, we felt our needs were a top priority and then Carlos and his team came in and reconstructed the damage and left us with a clean and safe home. They even finished early and due to my ADA needs, this was not easy. We had another local contractor rebuild our master bathroom and the unprofessional work they left was corrected by J and J. If you want a professionally done job and people who really care, try J and J. We won't ever use anybody else now.

I want to sincerely thank the project manager, Joseph, and his team at J AND J for the outstanding work they did on our bathroom. The repairs were done perfectly, and the results are amazing. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent customer service truly stood out. Joseph and his team went above and beyond — I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Great job!

The entire team displayed exceptional professionalism and dedication throughout the project. J&J Contracting provided outstanding service from beginning to end. The office staff--Barbara and Alejandra--were always available to answer questions. Jason, the Estimator, arrived promptly and did an excellent job as he assessed the project outline, dimensions and costs. Hector, the project coordinator, really did pull things together, showing us our options in a friendly and professional manner as it now became real. Marabella helped with choosing our carpet, which was very important, because it has to be durable, comfy and last a good long while--and we couldn't be more pleased! And finally, the installers were AMAZING--they did a fantastic job!! The carpet is tight, flat, and every edge, corner and wall is perfectly laid!! Excellent workmanship!! I apologize for the delay in leaving this review, but we absolutely wanted to recognize this amazing team! After a plumbing leak in our condo that affected the laundry room and guest bathroom, we had tear out work completed and then turned to J & J for the final restoration. Once our insurance cleared, the entire process was smooth and efficient—taking only about a week. The contractors were upfront and honest, listened to our aesthetic preferences, and delivered exactly what they promised, including reinstalling our appliances.
We were especially thrilled with the beautiful new shower, walls, and repair work. Even when our laundry room door caused the baseboards to lift (an issue outside their control), they still sent a crew back out to make it right and ensure everything was perfect. That extra level of care and commitment truly impressed us.
We couldn’t be happier with the speed, quality, and professionalism of J & J- especially Cesar and his team!! Highly recommend!

My mother’s house was in dire need of assistance. Due to the fact that it was an insurance claim I had my reservations as to the quality and overall experience was expecting to receive. When the project started I was contacted by the project manager, Hector, and immediately was presented with reassurance that we were going to be happy with the work. Given the fact that I live in California and the house is in Nevada, communication was key. Hector hit every milestone ahead of schedule and above my expectations. He never made me feel like he was selling me on the cheapest option with the highest margins, and instead spent time with me on FaceTime looking at counter top samples while I was back in LA. After completion of the project I went down for inspection and it exceeded my expectations. J&J were incredibly professional and incredibly forthcoming with where we were at and what to expect. As I told Hector when we met, a great contractor is one of the hardest resources to come by. I’ve had my fair share of horrible experiences and Insurance claim or a personal remodel, I’d rely on them each time.

This team saved my house after a bathroom water leak that affected my 1st floor laminate wood floors. This was my first insurance claim and J&J team help me through this process and represented my side. Thank you to my Project Manager Josie for leading a good team in fixing the water damage. I also commend them because event after the project ended, they have good after sales support. In fact they will go back again and help fix some issues in my house. Thank you J&J Team!!!!

After a water leak decimated our upstairs master bathroom, J&J came to the rescue and helped us get the repair done right! They communicated well and walked us through the insurance claim process, which was difficult. They were on time, courteous and had excellent workmanship. Jose did a great job coordinating all the plumbers, tile workers and carpenters, and always left the place better than they found it during construction. Highly recommend!

We had a major water leak in master bathroom. After restoration work was completed, J&J reconstructed our bathroom to pre water beauty. The staff of J&J were prompt, courteous and respectful of our home and us. A shout out to Ivan and Lydia who spent their holiday to keep the project moving. Highly recommend and am happy to say we are back to normal.

My wife and I recently hired J&J Contracting to convert the bathtub/shower insert in our master bathroom to a tiled shower. The project was completed on time for the estimated cost and we are extremely pleased with our beautiful new shower. Everyone at J&J---estimator Rodney, office staff, project manager Felipe, tilers Octavio and Francisco, drywaller/painter Guillermo, Gilbert (who installed safety bar for my disabled wife), and even the shower door installation subcontractor---were professional, dependable, responsive and conscientious in performing their work. We especially appreciated project manager Felipe who kept us fully informed on all phases and managed the project to a successful completion within the estimated time. We will not hesitate to hire J&J again for any future projects and highly recommend them for yours.

I had a leak in my primary bedroom toilet that went down to the kitchen. Both the kitchen and bathroom had extensive repairs that needed completing. J & J was recommended to me from QuickDry, the company that did the demo and drying out. I am so glad I went with J & J. The best service ever. From Fernanda in the office, Rodney who did the estimate, and especially Josue the project manager and all of the crew who came to my house to do the repairs. Everyone treated me and my home with respect. The work is phenomenal. You always hear nightmare stories about contractors, not with J & J. They were fantastic!

I used J&J when I had a leak from my upstairs bathroom down to my garage. They came and gave an estimate and work was done great and in a timely manner. The work was done true to the estimate. Josue F and his crew were very professional and work was done as promised. I would highly recommend

I was referred to J&J by a friend and couldn’t be more satisfied, from the project manager Josue and one of his team member Ramon. There was exterior damage to my garage from a truck backing into it. J&J Contracting did a wonderful job restoring my bathroom after a water leak from the upstairs unit where I live.
Josue is a great project manager. He helped me through every step and answered all of my questions and concerns.

After experiencing a water loss in my home, both kitchen and master bathroom, I  honestly didn’t know where to start. Hiring J&J  Contracting turned out to be the best decision I could have made.
