This company is terrible. They overloaded our roof where it’s affecting the rafters. We have to re do our walls and roof before it literally caves in. They said there is nothing they can do. To top it off we paid extra for the pigeon protecting. Needles to say we now have a whole family living under our solar because they left 5 holes for them to climb in. The picture is inside our roof where the solar is you can see the solar weighing down on our roof.

We were thrilled to get our panels installed earlier than expected due to an opening. Universal was great. They handled everything including our HOA. Install was clean and inspections went great! We are very happy. Great company.

This company installed my windows in 2022 and I have been trying for over a month to get anyone to call me back. They have someone who answers the phones and said that Brian is the window salesman. Brian has never called me back. I tried reaching out several times by calling and by emailing. In addition, I asked for his manager John to call me back and he never called me back either. I had to get a third party vendor to fix my window.

Would rate a 0 if I could. They never return calls/texts or emails. Once they get paid they could care less. The system we have turned on our generator (wasn’t supposed to) and we can’t shut it off. No return calls, messages or emails. Horrible customer service

They did a lovely job on my house and walk me what's the difference between owning and renting my solar panels and they also did a package deal for me to include windows and doors on my west side of my house and the south side of my house. And I will be do the rest of my windows and door with them.

Universal installed my solar in summer of 2024 and we are super happy with everything from the ease of install to the efficiency of the system. I wanted to wait to review until I had time to evaluate everything. After months of use, I am still very satisfied with the results! Thank you Theresa, Tommy, Brian and Eugene. Highly recommended !

I do not recommend Universal Solar Direct. My power has shut off three times this week and I’ve only had this system for 3 years. Nick with Solar Direct informed me that NV Energy had a power out outage in my area and advised me to give them a call. When I called NV Energy, they informed me that the power output did not affect my home. I’ve gone through hell and back trying to get power to my home and this company does not care at all. They are closed on the weekends and do not have an emergency line. They will be by your side 100% until the contract is signed, but after that, you are completely on your own.

Stay with NV Energy for all of your power needs because it’s not worth the headache of having a solar system on your home. It’s just another $60,000 bill that no one needs!!

Universal Solar did a wonderful job of installing a ground-mounted solar array at my home in Pahrump. Immediately upon turning the system on, it was apparent that it was generating an enormous amount of electrical noise. I am an active ham radio operator and the noise level was so high, it effectively made it impossible for me to receive any signals.

The problem had nothing to do with how the system was installed and everything to do with how the inverter hardware was designed. Universal brought the inverter company’s engineering staff into the picture. They said that they were familiar with the problem and would install the filtering required to eliminate the noise. They just had to order the parts.

Six months later, the inverter company was still “waiting for parts”. I’m an electrical engineer and can assure you that these parts are readily available.

At this point, Universal Solar stepped in and replaced the inverter with a different model at no cost to me. This required extensive rewiring of my system, but it was all done in one day with minimal disruption to my service. This completely solved the problem.

Universal Solar stood behind their system and did whatever it took to satisfy the customer, even though I’m over an hour away from the office. You don’t see that level of commitment very often these days. I am now completely satisfied with my system and highly recommend Universal Solar as a solid installation company.

Anytime I call them, I either speak to somebody or get a return phone call by the end of the day to resolve my issues or concerns I have. During installation, they were very good at telling me exactly what they were going to do at each step in the process. They explained how they were placing panels on top of the roof and how they were going to put wires and pipes into the garage. I've had no issues or concerns. I had one small problem and they called me and resolved it immediately. They have the best product for the best price. They have a great warranty. Thanks

I was told they went bankrupt the second they were done with my solar project. Didn't turn them on, and no one will message me back. Now I'm stuck paying for solar panels I can't even use.

Edit: they just commented on this review to save face, they haven't contacted me. My emails also now come back unsent.

Someone from another solar company who took over for these guys contacted me, and now my solar is working. USDLV still hasn't contacted me in a month, so I will leave this review for that long. Since they apologized so well for their unprofessionalism 😒

And big thank you to all the electricians who were on my roof. I was very hesitant and confused at first by seeing all the reviews but once David explained everything to me, I was very excited. All the guys who were on my roofs are professionals. They were updating me on every step they do. And at the end I was impressed how fast and accurate they do their job. Thank you so much again. I love this company and will definitely recommend it to my friends and neighbors.

One year ago, I had gotten 5 different solar quotes. Jon was the most willing to work with me on the price and gave me a great deal I couldn't refuse. It took 5 weeks from the down payment to system activation with no issues.

Universal Solar does have the charm of being a family business (from what I can tell) so you do have to give them some liberty as opposed to a big corporation, but it is 100% worth it. If you have any issues, get a hold of Theresa. She is very sweet and cares about her business and your satisfaction.

I actually just called Theresa since I couldn't get a hold of the maintenance person. I'm currently waiting for a tech to come by and fix my inverter comm. They are also checking my system's 1 year - 95% production guarantee.

There couldn't be a more personable Sales Rep than Evan. I have dealt with other Solar Companies before and no one could earn my business. Evan came into my home and explained everything about his product and how it would work with mine. After reviewing that benefits and the cost, it was a "no brainer". I am completely delighted with the package Evan set us up with and really happy about our Sales Rep, Evan. A very large asset to your company. You are lucky to have him in your employ. A great big THANK YOU to Evan. If it weren't for him, I'd still be shopping.

I just want to say thank you to the whole team who helped me to understand better about solar and then get it on my roof. I met Dmitry on my door and he was very polite, informative, well dressed and just a good person. He told me about NV Energy increases and where all of my money goes, so I got so interested in the solar program. We scheduled an appointment and then I met Cody. I never seen any better salesman in my life. He is super knowledgeable about solar product, he understood my concerns and answered the questions that I didn’t even think about. Just in general the way he presents the solar idea is incomparable to anything.
I fell in love right away.
The installation took place in less than 14 days. They did everything for me, all the permits and paperwork. I was amazed with the installation crew how fast and accurate they were on my roof. It’s been done in less than 3 hours.
I love this company and will recommend it to everyone I know. I hope everyone else will take a note on that.

I have had my solar system on my house for two years-so far no problems. The roof does not leak and no electrical problems.

I found the Sale person to be informative of their product and willing to Negotiate cost. The 4 technicians that installed my system were very courteous and had the solar installed in 2 hours.

I am an Electrical Engineering in the construction business. I inspected The installation on the roof and at the meter. I found no issues- it was perfect. Two years later it is in the same good condition.

Description: twenty 28 solar panels(295 watt solar panel) a my tile roof each with Solar edge Optimizers. The inverter is a 8.4 kw made by Solar edge. It was calculated for 80 percent of my yearly electrical usage-they call that 80 percent offset. So far if has covers 100 percent of my Power usage but there is 12 bucks fee each month charged for taxes. So it is better than I expected.

Do Not Get Solar Panels From this Company!!!!!!! They will sell you rainbows and sunshine but will not tell you the truth! It will cost you more than 6,000$ (300 per solar panel and I got more than 20 ) just to be able to remove from your roof if you need to do any roof repairs. They Have sales People Like CODY who promise you that it will help lower bills but they will never tell you about the hidden fees! Then when you try to speak to customer service they will not answer. I have been trying to contact them for over a year and nothing do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!!!!
