Good luck trying to get the solar panels fixed once something goes down. Been calling since AUGUST and we're in October. I got a guy named Ryan Kohrumel to tell me what was the problem, he never actually came to the home and nothing has been fixed. Don't go with this company. All they do is have you speak to receptionists and no one ever gets back to you. Unfortunately we purchased our home with the panels already installed.

After Titan Solar went out of business I found these folks who were very easy to work with. They were responsive, helped explain everything that was never explained before and went over and beyond in working with me and solar edge to fix issues left over from Titan.

I had a bad inverter and including the switch to RG at Solar Edge and the return and replacement it took about a week which was better than I expected.

Had my inverter go bad last week, called this company and they installed a new inverter through the manufacturer's warranty in less than a week. We’ve had our solar panels for just over a year now and they’re working great! The crew from RG electric came out to our home to install the panels about a week after we finalized our plan, and they did a great job with the installation. We have a 3 story home and they were able to install all panels and bird guard on both sides of the roof within a day. They also painted the power line to match the house’s color and it’s the little details that makes them great! We had a connection issue with one side of the roof after the installation, and they came out right away to fix the issue. We’re very happy we went with RG electric and would definitely recommend anyone that’s looking to go solar to get with Joseph B. and the RG electric crew.

He took the time to listen and talk to me about my solar system problem, which based on our conversation my not be a problem at all. They didn't require a service call or a contract in order to explain/review my situation. I'm very impressed with the service I have received today!

We compared many solar panels company, at last we decided to stay with RG Electric I nc. David is very patient and professional, providing all the necessary information and expert advice to us. Every project went so smoothly and David always updates us on the progress. Additionally, their installation team is also very professional, making the entire process smooth and the experience excellent. I would like to thank David Turpin, who is the sales rep who sold us our system a year and a half ago. We were having an issue with our system and made a phone call to Dave who resolved the issue with no hesitation or hassle. It is rare to meet people that keep their word on a handshake these days, especially after there has been time involved. Integrity!

Update - 5/6/25

Got ahold of someone with RG electric and was told that the problem was a tripped breaker originally - checked after the second instance and it was also tripped again (but wasn’t totally flipped and obvious). I will be keeping an eye on this to make sure it does not need to be replaced. Back in action.

Update - 5/5/25

I was always told “we monitor your solar and likely if there was a problem we would know it before you do” … well that’s a lie. I went a whole month not looking at my app only to realize it totally wasn’t communicating… as if my system was totally powered off (no lights on at all on inverter) … I assumed it was an app update issue? I called and they said they would have someone out within 24-48 hours, which they did. However, after they got it working (wasn’t told what was fixed with it), it later went out again. Over the weekend I called and left a message for Craig. Still waiting on a return call. I had contacted my original sales person but he didn’t respond - I assume he no longer works for the company. Feeling a bit stranded and frustrated. I will likely end up lowering the rating to 3 stars if things aren’t resolved within the week.

Paul told me how everything worked and answered everything realistically. Everything I was apprehensive he answered all the questions and didn’t make me feel pressured.

The installation was super quick and efficient. We installed around 11/3/24 - not being a full month being turned on I was expecting my bill to be half, nope even better, $20 for the regular NV Energy solar fee and then $20 for the left over. Got the bill for January and all I pay is the $20 NV Electric fee.

Only comment about the whole process is the tax credit I was told would be $11,000 but was actually 30% of how much ever was purchased so that came to like $9,000.

Also Paul was great at quoting me what I currently need but I did add 5 more panels because I know I will be using more electric in the future (30 panels total).

Over all really awesome customer service and even offered a tour of their facility 😊

We bought our first home in Vegas that had solar panels. The previous owner told us they worked and we moved in assuming all was well. Unfortunately the owner was not aware that after 5 years a new inverter would be needed and he never purchased one so we were getting large electric bills. Chris at RG Electric took care of us. Our previous tenant also forgot to transfer the panel account to us, so there were a couple steps we had been missing in addition. Chris got everything sorted and he kept us up to date to get us up and running. He is such a cool person and we really cannot thank him enough for his help. The tech folks that came by to fix our inverter were also really kind and very polite and helpful! I cannot recommend the staff of this company enough. They care about their customers!

Outstanding!!! Professional service given by Joseph and his team. They really made the transition to solar educational and comforting. The lay out of the solar panels on my roof is now the envy of my neighbors. They are the new wave!

Purchased a humless system in 2019 from RG electric, with a 20 year warranty. The first 8 months were great. Then the batterys took a dump. Took me fighting tooth and nail to get anyone to answer a phone or even come diagnose the problem. Even had to leave a bad review before the salesman contacted me to get the problem fixed. Fast forward to current. Having problems with inverter shutting off. Made several calls and have made contact with them there has been no resolution. Now when told we will call you tomorrow. That was 3 weeks ago. The communication with RG has been terrible. With the amount of money I spent on my system and the lack of the ability to use the warranty, it was not worth it. I would not recommend using RG electric for any home electrical needs.

Currently loosing power twice a night and having to run my generator twice to charge the system.

Yes it’s an “off grid” system. Rg electric’s salesman knew this before I bought the system. He assured me that they have installed several off grid systems.

I contacted three companies regarding installing a solar electric system at my home. From first contact, David at RG electric gave us the quickest responses, the most thorough presentation of the options, and was always available for questions, clarifications and information regarding any changes we considered. I am confident we choose the best options at the best price for our home. I will recommend RG electric to any one I know of or hear is considering converting to solar or just needs an electrical company. Well done.

I noticed stains and crack on my roof. I called a roofer to investigate and they basically told me the roof was old, lifespan based on warranty would have been 2000. Somehow these guys couldn’t even figure out my roof was too old for an installation. Emailed to assist in removing the panels so I could fix the roof. Instead I get a response quoting me $250 a panel (40+ panels) to remove and this came from their VP! Imagine getting paid for not doing your job properly and then asking to be paid more to correct your initial mistake. That’s a great business model…

I’m glad you brought back that fact that you came back so let me clarify your statements. First of all your rep spoke with me and had to fix damage caused by your installation. In fact, I just had all the panels removed yesterday go check it out so this isn’t even about money. But guess what one of the random workers just comes up to me and says. “Excuse me sir, who did your installation”? And I asked why to which he said “because it’s a shitty install”. So coming up here trying to act like you did a great job for coming by to remove 1 panel so my roofer can access the damage of the crack which btw took weeks to happen because your VP refused and wanted me to pay for that. I have the emails…

I have had 3 roofers visit my roof and each has said the same thing. Underlay way too old and install should never have been done. Don’t worry my lawyer will share all that info. I didn’t come here with bad faith to spread lies about a business. You guys and the way you run your business drove me to this after months of trying to amicably work this out. I don’t expect you to come here and admit your wrongs in public when you’ve been unable to do so privately.

After my original solar installer went out of business, we were left with no support when our system stopped communicating. It was stressful and overwhelming until we found Craig at RG Electric.

Craig patiently walked me through the issues, explained everything in a way I could understand, and truly took the time to help. RG Electric stepped in when I had no one else, and that kind of service is rare.

I recently had solar installed on my home, and the entire experience from start to finish was exceptional. Craig was phenomenal — always available, quick to reply, and consistently went the extra mile to make sure the system was designed correctly for my actual energy consumption. His attention to detail and willingness to walk me through every step really set the tone.
Fast forward to installation: Josh and Andrews showed up and were absolute pros. They worked seamlessly as a team, worked efficiently, and did incredibly clean work. Even the inspector pointed out how impressive their attention to detail was — specifically mentioning that they spray-painted the conduit in my garage and on the roof to blend perfectly with the background. According to him, very few installers in the industry take that extra step.
I honestly can’t say enough positive things about this entire process. My brother is currently getting his solar installed by the same company, and I’m certain he’s in great hands just like I was.
