Good company but their prices are AWFUL. I got a quote for a small job in my backyard for 800 dollars. They said it would take their "crew" a day to do it. I decided to do it myself. Completed it all by myself with all the materials for less than 150 dollars in 3 short hours. You know they get material at wholesale from distributors so why are they up selling SO much? 3 hours by myself for less than 150 but would take there crew all day for 800. lol what a joke!! Shop around folks! These people will rip you off.

We have a contract with this company for over 4 years.
At the start they were awesome. Then this year after raising our rate
they have slacked off big time. No courtesy call any more and for the
last 5 months the non speaking English crew they send here don't do
anything. They were here yesterday and after standing around their truck
for 10 minutes picked up a few twigs. Yard doesn't even look like it was touched
Calls never get returned but get that bill EVERY month. Had them bring some gd once and the crew left with part of it that I payed for. Can I recommend them really not sure at this time. Might be looking for someone else that cares like THEY say they do. -
Mowing service is great. They do a terrific job and show up weekly but I paid them for a year in advance too.
If you call for sprinkler repairs, prepare to be very very disappointed. I called once a week for six weeks without a return call! Then a crew shows up without contacting me first. I happened to be out of town and the supervisor gets angry with me that I can’t stop everything and fly home at a moments notice. Honestly, they could care less that you have a problem.
Signature should change their advertising to “we don’t care when you have a problem”. -
What a remarkable disappointment Signature Landscaping was, and continues to be.
I was going to write a long narrative of the ways they have failed to do an even passable job, but instead, let me just summarize:
1) Initial estimate thousands over budget
2) Rough draft sketch contained things I explicitly stated I did not want (and I reiterated this to them). This rough draft sketch, I later found out, turned out to be the final draft as well - not to scale, hand drawn on plain white paper, amateurish.
3) tremendous damage to existing sprinkler system that I had already spent $2,000 having repaired from another company. I did have the owner come out and he told me I was wrong - that my system was garbage and he needed to replace it - it was not and I was not.
4) Plant selection inappropriate for the spaces (small pine trees that get HUGE in lieu of arborvitaes) that I now have to have removed before they get too established and cause damage to, and completely encase, concrete patios and outdoor living spaces
5) I was told "10-14" days from first payment to beginning of work. On day 14, I was told "10-14 BUSINESS days" - it actually came out to over a month (While I was on a time crunch - needless to say, it was not done for my summer party).
6) Now, months later, I still show a balance with them even though I used a third-party finance company to pay for the yard, and they will not confirm that they have received full payment from them - they have.
Between planning, execution, billing, and follow-up care, nothing about my project with them has been pleasant. I am looking at thousands of dollars in additional work to correct the ten thousand dollars in work they did. I was so excited to have a yard, finally, in my first home. But I just get sad when I look at how I wasted that much money on them. I could have hired laborers to move dirt and dig holes, and done something significantly better over the course of a few weekends.
That said, the actual people who did the work were great and kind and knowledgeable- it's the systems and corporate attitude that need a major overhaul. -
Unethical. We hired them for spraying weeds, aerating, and sprinkler adjustment. The sprinkler adjustment was quoted at $89 for 1 hour and $18 for every quarter hour after that. Kid showed up at 12pm and left at about 110pm... he knocked on the door and said goodbye by the way. Got a bill for $341 which would be an additional 3.5 hours. Called to adjust and got a huge run around and made to feel like we were lying. After a few phone calls they adjusted our bill to the 1 hour and 15 minutes actually spent.
They were scheduled to come back to do a second post emergent spray for us and didn’t show. I called the next morning and let them know we didn’t see any of their techs and they argued with me AGAIN saying they were here when they weren’t. We were home waiting on their arrival - no one knocked on the door and our backyard was locked - so there was no service performed. They offered to reschedule but at that point I was done doing business with them and declined. They still tried to bill me for the service they didn’t show up for and when I got mad about it they acted like THEY were going to blacklist ME! Haha, ok... please do.
I think they bank on you not being home so they can make up their own hours and bill you and then tell you you’re a liar when you question them. Find another company. -
DO NOT hire this company. They talk a good game and the people are very nice, but they don't have the manpower to back it up. They will not do what they promise and they will just keep telling you it will get fixed but it NEVER will happen. This is just a bad company. There are many better options in Reno.

1) they sprayed for weeds, nothing even remotely died. Maybe a tiny leaf. Then when asked to come out to fix it, they wanted to charge again.
2) We fixed the above issue, they did a 'warranty' spray and it worked. High five, things are looking up. Now, we did cancel all remaining issues as this 'warranty' still took 5 weeks to get rescheduled.
3) We received an automated phone call that another service was to be at our house within the next 24 hours. . . called, cancelled. . . they STILL showed up. We sent the crew away (wasn't their fault).
4) we received a bill for that service.
Now. . . if you call their number and press #1 for residential department. you will get a real person 'maybe' once in 30 calls. Then they will never call back in 24 hours as the message states.
If we ran our phone lines like they do, we'd be out of business. I would highly recommend giving your business to a smaller company that values its customers, even with answer the phones and personally addressing issues. I'm easy going, but this - wow. I'm astonished. -
I will not be doing business with them ever again. Last fall I paid for a special to have my sprinkler system weatherized for winter and they sold me on a special which included having them turned back in the spring. When they returned to turn them back on, I was left with a bill for the service, which I already paid. Upon making contact with the billing area to correct the issue they dismissed me as if I was trying to get over on them, and applied a credit to my bill which didn't offset the balance. I called back and they gave me a run around about how it was applied.. why would a customer need to understand your billing discrepancies? I paid for a special which was said to include both at one price, which I paid for in advance. After this was rectified she continued to explain that they also decided to replace several nozzles and the remaining balance still applied. What rubbed me the wrong way is several nozzles needed replacement when I got home, so why would they take the liberty to replace some nozzles, but not all of them?? I do not believe anything was ever replaced and they simply wanted more money. You'd think customer service and honesty would be how you retain a customer.. they displayed neither. Stay far away from Signature Landscape!

I have seen crews working all over town, and their remodels always look AMAZING! The employees are friendly and knowledgeable too.

BrightView Landscapes is a pleasure to work with! Davis Goicoechea and Antonio Marin make the perfect team—always responsive, efficient with repairs, and great communicators. They’re more than willing to work with your budget and take the time to meet on site to walk through any questions. They are patient and thorough, going back and forth as needed to ensure everyone is happy with the contract. They work seamlessly with HOAs and never hesitate to ask the right questions or clearly explain the situation. Highly recommend!

I’ve had mixed experiences using them from basic maintenance around my HOA to general sprinkler maintenance in my back yard, but today took the cake. The driver of this truck (SL90) on 9/27 around 2pm, ran a stop sign out of an HOA off military road, cutting me off causing me to slam on my brakes with my young children in my vehicle or it would have caused an accident.
The driver and passengers then flipped me off and braked checked me pretty much the rest of the way all the way to lemon drive. I find it funny how they have a bumper sticker that commits to safety, however their professionalism and demeanor say otherwise. If this is how they act in a company vehicle what does that say about the company? -
This is the second time I've used them and both times have been very disappointing. If I'm spending 2k, nearly 3k, or whatever, I should not have to go behind anyone to clean my yard up. And yet, everytime I have paid these guys, that's exactly what I have to do. All debris, weeds, dead weeds/plants were to be removed. See photos. Last time, there were two workers complaining and cussing about cleaning my yard outside my bathroom window. This time, they had a lot less to clean up and still left a mess for me. I paid way too much. The only thing they have going for them, is they're the only ones who actually call people back to schedule. They just don't believe in doing a job fully. These pictures are from this morning. After their third time coming to clean up.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
We had Brightview do a large landscape installation for us which finishedin 2021. One year later, the veneer they installed around our BBQ started falling off. Four years later, we were doing additional work on our raised oaver oatio only to find that they hadn't installed the water proofing properly and the underlying wood was getting wet, so it was going to be more prone to rotting. On top of that, they hadn't used the correct screws and bolts so the whole deck was in jeopardy of caving in. This is completely unacceptable for a company that is supposed to be one of the most reputable in Reno. -
Crew was professional and cared if the work was done right. Cleaned up after themselves. Definitely will use them again.

The Tree Profession did a great job removing 2 very large tall trees. They even put a part of the fence back together that was in disrepair behind one of the trees. Thank you!
-
I had multiple bids on a tree that needed taken down ASAP from a recent wind storm. Greg came out and I knew 100% he was the guy I wanted to do business with over the other top companies that I had gotten bids from. Crew showed up in a timely manner and were the best of the best. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I wish I got his name but he was super helpful with my concerns and his honesty was appreciated. I would recommend him to my family and friends.
