Kevin is an arborist, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He was able to tell us about the trees in our yard and was able to tell us about two particular trees which needed to be taken down and why they needed to be removed. His crew came and were polite and professional. Watching the crew take down two big trees was amazing! They cleaned up the yard and the street beautifully that you would have never known they were there! Would recommend you consider them if you need trees removed or trimmed.

I had several dead Ash trees and a couple of tall red oaks near our house that needed to be cleared. I contacted Gate City for a quote and they were super responsive, friendly, and communicative.

Kevin, the owner, who did the original quote, was also present on the job. He and his crew did a super job. They were very efficient, very careful, and very courteous. They also did a great job with clean up after the main work was done.

Did a fine job taking the trees down. I wouldn't call it prompt service--called in summer, said couldn't work us in until November. Fine. Didn't come until February. Fine. Said they'd be back in spring for the stumps. Called them in July about the stumps. Said they could probably come the following week. It's now January and they haven't come for the stumps. Beginning to think k they are unreliable.

Gate City Tree removed a diseased & rotted birch tree from our back yard - from the front of the house via a crane. It was fascinating watching these professionals at work. Kevin and his crew did a great job! I highly recommend their services!

I had a large pine tree damaged in a storm, and Gate City Tree was great to work with. They promptly answered my initial request and provided a clear estimate. The work was done quickly and properly and the overall experience was extremely smooth.

We had an emergency with a storm that snapped one of our pines and crushed a car. The debris closed off the garage and would have meant no one being able to leave for the day.They showed up in record time and did the clean up and noticed that the damaged tree was endangering our neighbors and moved their entire schedule to get the crane over to pull it down. They arrived at 8:00 AM and by noon had not only performed the cleanup, but had removed 4 other massive pines well over 90 feet. They were incredibly professional, polite and did an amazing job. Kevin also gave us an incredibly fair price. We've used them more than once and will use them for anything tree related in the future.

We recently used Gate City Tree Service to remove 6 huge Oak trees from our property. We definitely recommend them to anyone in the area looking to get trees removed! My husband spoke with Kevin who promptly came out to give us a quote. His quote was by far the best price for the work. The crew arrived promptly at 8am to start the job and they were done by 1pm including clean up. The crew worked fast, and did a great job removing all the excess branches from the yard. They will come back to grind our stumps in a few weeks. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work!

Had Gate City remove a big branch of an oak tree in our back yard. It was right above the patio and not readily accessible. The crew did a surgical job and left the site clean & tidy. Even had the branch cut up in 16" logs for firewood. Their quote was also 15% lower than another bid. Highly recommend the business.

The pricing was super competitive; we got multiple quotes and Kevin's was by far the most reasonable, and the people could not have been nicer. We had crane-tree removal and these guys are fantastic, especially for large projects. They run a well-choreographed operation of many machines to remove trees with impressive efficiency. They were careful to avoid laying trees or equipment on our septic field, they left a clean work site, and they worked tirelessly through the project.

I had a tree fall on my fence during a bad Winter storm. I called Gate City Tree and they came out to quote the same day I called. Price was very reasonable and included all equipment needed for the job. Once I accepted the quote, they were at my house in less than 24 hours. The crew was very professional, operated in a very safe and efficient manner and were all very polite and pleasant to talk to. They had the tree removed and the area cleaned (including the pool deck) in 2 hours — leaving it probably cleaner than before the tree fell on it.

Overall, Gate City Tree is very pleasant to work with and reminds me of the days prior when all companies were this professional.

We had Gate City come out to remove 7 trees. They were great to work with, we had reschedule a few times because of weather but they were willing to work with us to find the best date. Got all 7 trees down before 1 PM. They were fast, safe and efficient, cleaned up great as well! The whole crew was great and my boys loved seeing the all the trucks!

We had three large fur trees knocked over during a recent wind/rain storm. I called Gate City and Kevin came out same day to give me an estimate, which was several hundred dollars less than some of the other quotes I received. The crew showed up two days later, as promised and finished the entire job within 45 minutes. They were very professional and cleaned everything up really well. We needed to get a super tall tree removed that had split during the recent tropical wind storm. I happened to call Gate City Tree first for an estimate. Kevin Fredette, the owner, arrived at our home within 15 minutes of my call! He arranged a crane and was here to do the job within two days...very fast service. His team, working together with Granite State Tree Service, did amazing work. Everyone was professional and friendly and cleaned up the yard before leaving. Gate City Tree Service is a professional, responsible and reputable tree company. They removed out 40 year old tree with precision and the upmost care to our property. Kevin was personal to deal with and I would recommend him and his crew hands down! Their crew is a "well oiled machine"!

Had "Great" City Tree come over to remove what some would say an inner city forest from my property, and with a task that some said 'wow big job' and 'did you call Gate City, he has a Crane'-(at the time they were en route to come quote) they came and did a job!

After 2 days the crew - who were all super respectful and hard working - had cut some 20?+ trees. The trees ranged from 8" to 38" diameter trees.

It was sad to cut the trees but after the fall 2023-spring '24 the pine cones and sap were just to much. This years cone-aggedon and sap storms were what broke the tree-camels back! My dogs have literally been licking their feet for months, yes i would / did clean their paws, they had enough. The trees removed probably averaged 75+feet . The rented crane on day 2 was fully extended and that was a either a 40 or 60 ton rig. it was amazing to watch, the precision and mistake free removal.

I don't usually right reviews but when I do it's because i was impressed. There's such a thing as: do you job, and then there's: Did an Awesome Job! Gate City Did just that. Highly recommend them.
